What the hell is the deal with all these kiddies wearing the Pogo mask? It doesn't look cool at all, and all it really does is show off the fact that you're an unoriginal ass. Literally out of the thousands of Pogo users I've met I can honestly say 65% were squeakers.

 

You lose any shred of respect if you wear that mask. Just because it's level locked at 100 (somewhere near there) DOESN'T mean it's cool.

True dat, I feel that way with any mask. I'm listening on the mic last nite and sum kid is all like, 'ugh, why are masks so expensive'? Who cares? They're pointless and look stupid. R* is trying to tell you how ridiculous they are by how expensive they make them.

If there is anything I HATE about GTA Online, it's the horrible, horrible matchmaking.

 

I don't know if it's just me but it appears to get worse with each update. It worked decent-ish when I first started with the game over a year ago, back when I still had a crappy, slow WLAN router. I was practically forced to use WLAN since there was no option for anything else at the time. But apart from some lag every now and then, which could very well have been be a result of the P2P connection, everything worked fine for the most part.

 

I remember that when the heists first launched matchmaking was severely broken, lag was pretty bad, but that was fixed after a week or two if my memory serves me right. The free roam update made things worse again though. But this time it wasn't properly fixed. Things were pretty inconsistent ever since then. Sometimes people would join me within seconds after invites are sent, then next time I invite people via Auto-Invite it would takes ages for one or two, let alone three or more players to join. It's gotten worse since the Festive Surprise, to the point that not even a single person would join me at times, forcing me to back out of the job lobby, swichting sessions, then retry.

 

Please, Rockstar, fix matchmaking or finally introduce dedicated servers or both. Do SOMETHING. I don't know. Whatever makes it possible to invite more than just a couple of players, if even that.

 

Edit: Forgot to mention, I have got a new internet contract since over a month now. Not only are download and upload speed substantially faster (from 4Mbit Down / 2 Mbit Up to 20Mbit Down / 5Mbit Up), the Ping decreased from 40-80 ms to <20 ms, and my PC and consoles are now wired with the router. So that simply can not be the problem.

Rockstar are very cheap, so they will try find ways to save money. That's why they have P2P servers in the first place. They made a billion dollars within the first three days of release, and they generate revenue on a daily basis from shark cards. All this money and they still don't invest in new, improved servers. Ridiculous!

I haven't seen people with that mask for a while now. Its mainly those helmet wearing military cosplay k/d obsessed assholes I see.

 

I used to rock the Pogo mask all the time. But now, I rock the Impotent Rage mask, glitched with the red beer hat. Looks funny, unique and stylish.

I resent that. I took emergency action trying to avoid him, but he jumped in front of my car. And his next of kin don't even have the decency of paying for the damage he did to my valuable car. How hard is it for other players to understand that whilst doing an Executive Search, the executive can go off the map and the bodyguards mop up the flak? I sent a text explaining to this one player to do just that, and repeatedly sent texts to him asking him to go away and distract the others, but did he leave? f*ck no!

 

I had two great hiding places and each time he hovers right next to me attracting five players. I die. He gets kicked from the VIP crew and un-friended.

Whelp, I've wasted $100k on setting up Pac Standard. Literally FOURTY FIVE minutes of waiting in the lobby for Vans and all I get are people who join and leave. Hell, we actually started it once, only for the level 150 to leave immediately.

 

It's times like this that make me wish that you could play heists solo, or with at least 2 people like Fleeca.

Set lobby to closed for first mission. After mission is done, select another. While lobby is loading 2 randoms join, sure enough, matchmaking has reverted to open.

 

I set it back to closed and kicked them both.

 

For the next hour one of them insisted on spamming me with hate messages.

 

Am I not permitted to solo missions anymore?

It's broken, either to turn it on or to turn it off, i will work whenever it feels like working

NO...Rockstar...NO. I do not want to play your sh*tty Capture mode. It's god awful. Your match making sucks, your maps are boring and nobody plays them. For the love of God, can you please...PLEASE...stop making me do them EVERY f*ckING DAY. I'm not making this up, I have had to play some form of capture every day for the last week to complete my dailies. It is hands down the worst f*cking daily on the list. Not only does it turn into a one on one with some other sucker who's forced to do them, but you can tell neither person is interested. I've run into more people who literally jump in the nearest vehicle and just drive around until the timer stops than I have people that actually try to play this sh*t.

Also...am I wrong in thinking that you get 500k every time you complete your dailies for 28 straight days or is that a one time only thing? I'm on week 6 and I keep getting 100k. I've only ever gotten 500k once and I know for a fact that I'm on week 6. I get 100k every Friday (technically Saturday morning). If I've been mistaken (which I would LOVE) and I can't get 500k again, I'm going to stop doing these goddamn captures!!!

Took a Tailgater from the marina, put insurance and everything on it, and suped it all the way up. Put in my Eclipse Towers garage next to my Franken Stange. Game saves, I turn off my PS4, and get some food, watch some Sons of Anarchy, then boot GTA back up. Spawn in my garage and... My f*cking car is gone. Empty space right next to my Franken Stange. I check every other garage, and nothing. Call MMI, and nothing. I rewatch the last fifteen minutes before I got off because I always record in case sh*t like this happens, and the game for sure, absitively posolutely saved. I put in a ticket, and Rockstar replies dumb quick. Their response? They want proof. So I send them the snippet of me saving the car, and the game saving too, and they reply again... Same old song and f*cking dance. "You try reloading your game?" Three goddamn times. "Hold shoulder buttons til the recalibration menu pops up." Did that. Their reply? Well, it's gone. Nothing we can do. Jesus, I can't even get the roughly 160 grand back that I dropped on it? Apparently not, f*cking assholes. Can't give me back my car, but if someone bitches that they don't have beer hats they're on that sh*t like white on rice.

Usually, when I'm in my private lobby, and trying to join a racing activity, I can see the name of the track I'm going to. So, if it's crap, I can cancel.

 

But, if I'm in a public lobby and do the same, if there's some event going on, it hides the name of the track. So I don't know where I'm going. And what if don't f*cking care about the event???

Another reason to stay in private lobby.
