I have a love / hate relationship with this game. When an update is about to drop, I get all excited and I play gta & grind cash (even though I have 44+ million). Then, the update drops, I'm into it for like 4 days & then I'm just bored again. Then as weeks go by, the game just gets stale

 

I really wish I could get into the game again.

I think we all feel that way sometimes. For me, it just doesn't hold the appeal it did a year ago. Sure new cars and guns are cool and all but honestly adversary modes aren't my thing. New contact missions would be nice, especially ones that don't have a Heist style "die and the whole team fails" flow to them. Call me crazy but I wish Online had some kind of a story to it, ya know? Even something small that makes it seem like it's part of the series and world of GTA, not just some void where it seems like it's all happening before SP but also kind of seems like it's happening after SP. A big DLC would change things a lot. The casino could bring back a lot of players, and I could honestly see some replay value in it, something to keep people coming back because I mean, come on, who among us hasn't wanted to go to a casino and wanted to win big?

NPC rapid fired me in my armored kuruma, i know the windows are not bullet proof but goddamn man... All of a sudden they hit you and you're dead 0.5 seconds FFS.

make taking a jet real hard or implement some sort of air patrol, if someone managed to steal a jet they would have to deal with npc's flying armed jets!

Rockstar really need to sort out the lobby-emptying issue, it's completely spoiling the game for me.

Oddly enough. It only happens when I meet people who actually like doing the VIP stuff and not just joining up to be a kill squad.

nether of my friends and crew mates where on playing gtao and i have no mic.

so convincing the entire lobby to join me in making the jet griefer's life a living heck would have been a chore.

I'm talking about directly taking out the pilot, which is difficult to do with a mingun due to the inability to lock on with it. It's good for damaging the jet and making it smoke, which the Combat MG can also do. But with the Combat MG or any other gun, you can lock onto the pilot as he comes close and passes by. I've done this and shot out a few pilots, but it's not easy.

but i did find one good spot that protected me from the griefer, the gas station on the western highway near for zancudo, the griefer couldn't hit me there!

I'm up for up the removal of the explosive bullets, but the homing missiles still lock onto PVs, which is ridiculous. Homing Launchers are already powerful and effective as they are, so they don't require any buffing whatsoever.

Remove explosive cannons: Won't happen! It's been with the game since 2013 and without it the cannons are useless

If there is anything I HATE about GTA Online, it's the horrible, horrible matchmaking.

 

I don't know if it's just me but it appears to get worse with each update. It worked decent-ish when I first started with the game over a year ago, back when I still had a crappy, slow WLAN router. I was practically forced to use WLAN since there was no option for anything else at the time. But apart from some lag every now and then, which could very well have been be a result of the P2P connection, everything worked fine for the most part.

 

I remember that when the heists first launched matchmaking was severely broken, lag was pretty bad, but that was fixed after a week or two if my memory serves me right. The free roam update made things worse again though. But this time it wasn't properly fixed. Things were pretty inconsistent ever since then. Sometimes people would join me within seconds after invites are sent, then next time I invite people via Auto-Invite it would takes ages for one or two, let alone three or more players to join. It's gotten worse since the Festive Surprise, to the point that not even a single person would join me at times, forcing me to back out of the job lobby, swichting sessions, then retry.

 

Please, Rockstar, fix matchmaking or finally introduce dedicated servers or both. Do SOMETHING. I don't know. Whatever makes it possible to invite more than just a couple of players, if even that.

 

Edit: Forgot to mention, I have got a new internet contract since over a month now. Not only are download and upload speed substantially faster (from 4Mbit Down / 2 Mbit Up to 20Mbit Down / 5Mbit Up), the Ping decreased from 40-80 ms to <20 ms, and my PC and consoles are now wired with the router. So that simply can not be the problem.

I'm not really mad about this, but god damn gang attack on McKensie airfield. I was trying to fly to LS in a mallard and a gang attack started. I was pulling my plane out of the hangar when I glitched out in front of the plane and It ran me over and the plane kept going on itself. I died getting shot up by the gang members. After the attack, I found the plane right next to a propane tank with its blades touching it. I took the risk to get it out but the blades just broke. I was laughing at the whole thing. That has never happened to me before.

I want new contact missions. It's been almost 2 years & ive done the same stale missions thousands of times. They neglect people who do like to do missions - but keep adding stupid adversary modes that people only play for about a week. Sorry Rockstar, not everyone likes to treat GTA as COD in Free For All.

I haven't seen people with that mask for a while now. Its mainly those helmet wearing military cosplay k/d obsessed assholes I see.
