Sounds about right. While in my secondary female character I usually get requests for Kik (whatever the f*ck that is), my number, car rides, and for me to call them in-game. Some folks just need professional help.

i've had player's make passes at my female character i even had a player send me a message asking me for a date (i replied to him telling him i'm a guy).

and he replied "oh".

 

I send them the ol classic "My name is Eddy. I'm Hot and ready whenever you want it, big boy ;)"

 

I have a bunch of canned replies to "are you a girl". I like stating outright confusion sometimes, like "I don't even know anymore". Also funny is me repeating what they say almost word-for-word?"

I do it all the time. I never miss an opportunity to laugh, although most of the messages aren't exactly them hitting on me. It's either I'm hacking or I'm trash and should kill myself. The ones were I do get hit on are the ones I try my best to troll. This guy on GTA apperently married me and stole my car but I gave it the ok. I saw his name pop up on the feed and a message from morhs mutual. Then, for whatever reason, his friends starting harassing me and saying IM desperate because he said I was his wife. I later massacered the lot and they left. I always go for the happy ending lol.

If either of them is yes.

That is probably why they think you are a modder.

 

Heck, I got called a hacker because I snipped someone in the foot while he was hiding behind a car.

And because of that 2 people asked me if I can mod.

I agree with you on that one. That is over stepping the line. I do think they're really dumb for going that far, but making them do that for you is too much. That's wierd, I got 2 wanted levels while inside the Army base during Criminial damage and thanks to the Tank spawns I got 9.5M score.

Par-do-ne' moi. I'm not one to buy a bunch of chit I don't need. Never really needed to sell my cars as I only buy what I need...damn. You should be able to sell cars you bought from one of the website without running into the timer. At least to date I've never had an issue with it on PC. Cars you originally stole from the street and put in your garage, however, are still running on that 48 min timer. If you steal a car from the street and immediately sell it, and afterwards try to sell a car from your garage that you originally stole as well, you'll have to wait until the 48 minutes have passed. I agree it's annoying. One of my main gripes with this game is how R* apparently needs to dictate what is 'fun' and how the player should apparently be disincentivized for playing a certain way. It's not like anyone is going to get rich by exclusively selling cars from the street, why put such an excessive timer on it? Same thing with the timer on the old random events - not that those have shown up on NG lately. Five to ten minutes would have been a lot more reasonable.

*gets into Hydra, gets high as hell and jumps out* Low and behold i was falling over 8500ft, opened shute and landed. In the water and thus it didn't count the f*cking distance i felt down.

 

10 sec later, Mr.6500 ft won the event. Bullsh*t. Send a mugger at him which then stole $10.000. He killed the mugger but i collected the money in passive mode.

I am 100% certain that they are not affected by the same timer. On multiple occasions the past few months I took a car off the street, sold it, and sold a vehicle I had bought off a website a few minutes later. This happened while I was testing if the Bodystyle 0 glitch was still active on PC (bought an Akuma off the website, stole and sold a car from the street, sold the Akuma. Or vice versa: stole a car from the street and sold it, bought an Akuma off the website, and sold it minutes later).

 

I am not certain if there is a different timer preventing multiple cars bought off a website from being sold in quick succession though. This may very well be possible, but I haven't any experience with that.

 

Even if there were, however, this timer doesn't really seem to solve anything regarding those players who mod or glitch money per TheEroticCherry's line of reason. Said timer doesn't prevent them from doing so, it just makes it more inconvenient to whitewash their money. That is, provided there is such a thing and R* can't trace the money - I'm not sure if they can.

 

I don't see why legitimate players and cheaters alike should be inconvenienced when one of those two groups (cheaters) abuses glitches, when this action doesn't actually address the underlying cause (the glitches) but merely one of the possible symptoms (whitewashing money obtained through glitches).

I submitted a support ticket to Rockstar along with the video I posted on page 555 of this thread explaining how my friends & I were screwed out of the Criminal Mastermind challenge due to a glitch in the game not through any fault of our own. I didn't ask for money, but I did ask for our challenge to be restored to where it was after we finished Series A Funding so that we would have a fair shot at completing the challenge. Instead of admitting that there are glitches in the game and telling me that their development team are working to improve it, this is what I received in response.

As far as I know there is no timer for cars bought off a website, so there is nothing preventing exactly the scenario you just described.

i was under the impression that i had the opposite experience, not saying you're lying, it was a long time ago, i could easily be mixing up memories.
