Even if they took K/D out of the game, I don't think it would change the way people play. People abuse passive mode and take the easy way out not only because it helps with their K/D but they know they're pissing you off. Maybe they wouldn't be so obsessed with it but they'd still be assholes using bitch tactics.

Even though I know it doesn't matter, you do get a lot of judgement from others over it. I'd rather they get rid of them in-game. Our stats on social club should be good enough. But I suppose it does tie into betting in-game, not that it matters there either. Could be more fun without it.

Sure, but it would make people feel better. Somebody being griefed wouldn't be as liable to quit for fear of his KDR dropping.

Losing is what makes people afraid to have fun. People who take their K/D too seriously take this whole game too seriously. I agree that if if was taken out of the game more people would take on jets and tanks or whatever without worrying about their K/D but I suspect most of them would still do anything to not give you that kill.

Lastnight I was playing a contract mission with a bunch of randoms. The contract mission was Teaser Trailer given by Lester. It is where you ambush Merryweather security, and to steal the trailer.

 

I was waiting for this guy to steal a trucker (Since he left the scene of battle so I assume he was off finding a truck) so that we can steal the trailer. Come to find out that while the rest of us are anxiously waiting for this guy to come back with the truck that on my map..... I found this high level noob all the way across Los Santos international airport fetching his hydra!

 

Hydra is NOT a cargobob you f*cking moron! You cannot pick up the trailer with such aircraft!

 

I tore this guy a new asshole to the point where he thought he could teach me a lesson by blowing up my car on the next contract mission (LOL he called in for another Hydra, AGAIN!). Yeah that truly hurt me since he was the one that had to pay for the cost of a new car.

I believe you can still pick it up in a job, and if you do not use all of the ammunition, use it in free mode until the ammo is gone.

Just had to quit the FLEECA job because it took the driller over 20 minutes to hack. WTF is wrong with people, why is this so hard for them? Are they using the analog sticks and completely unaware that you can use the directional pad? Makes it much easier (not that doing it with the analog sticks is really any harder). It really bummed me out that I had to quit...it was a 50/50 split. Should have been 70k for 10 minutes worth of work. Maybe next time.

 

As for the K/D conversation...I'm in complete agreement that the "kill yourself" option should affect your K/D stat. I also think the cost to "kill yourself" should double after every use. Some of these @$$ holes would be squandering millions by the end of the night, they pop that option like it's candy. It's a pointless stat anyways and by no means reflects how good you may or may not be at the game. I know some good players who are fantastic at missions and heists and their K/D is below 1. They don't give two sh!ts about it but some of you are kicking them out of your heists/missions. Instead you're letting the jet griefing, low level hunting, "kill yourself" cowards join your squad because they have a K/D of 5. Those are the same douche bags that fail by blowing up the package, try to Rambo everything, and generally quit the moment you get more kills than them or they make a dumb mistake and are too embarrassed to show face at the restart screen.

 

Since we're talking worthless stats...I hate that there aren't more racing stats. I may have more wins than losses but I have even more top 3 finishes than losses. It would be nice to know just how many times I came in each subsequent position. Worthless, absolutely, but more interesting than K/D!

Once you quit online, the gun goes away. It may even be that once you quit the free mode session you are dropped into after job that you lose the weapon, but it's been a long time since I've had to deal with this, so I am not sure.

Why isn;t there a forklift online? I know it's a pointless thing to have but I think it would be fun as hell to gun down people in a forklift! Also why is is so damn weak!? Can't even lift a dumbster I know these aren't mighty things but come on they're not that weak

You can find the Dozer in a few locations around the map. Just as fun imo especially if you manage to pick up someone's car and take off with it. Bit tricky but I've done it with a few small cars.

Survivals aren't open til about rank 12 or so.

Some unlock @ 15, some at 20 or 25, but if my memory serves me right the maximum is 30.

 

And Rank isn't relevant - you can join anything at any Rank so long as the Matchmaking is Open. You can't Host a Survival if the survival in-question doesn't match your current Rank however.
