Yeah I'm pretty suprised at the mods decision for the Rate My Car thread.

 

I honestly believe that they do not understand the process of rating a car. Like they don't understand that cars are rated based on the modifications done to them. Like, that is the whole point. Idk.

 

The PC modded cars are certainly cool and I like them, I just think they need their own thread. This is everyones forum, the mods don't own anything, I think it should be up to everyone, not just the mods.

They're not like Rockstar. Rockstar don't pretend to listen (unless you're naive enough to think "please mail your ideas to this email" means anything), and frankly for an entity that doesn't listen, that's more preferable.

Seeing as someone directly named me as the sole reason that the current thread got locked, even though it's a direct result of their disastrous intervention, it should be pretty evident that they don't understand a thing about the thread or even give a damn to it. They make no effort to improve the thread or at the very least fix the ongoing problem, and their only concern is to get the problem out of their sight ASAP in whatever method possible.

 

It is also hilarious when the mod in question say it's "SO VERY EASY to skip a post and rate the next car" (exact words), while the other mod lurking the thread dumps my posts into the memory hole for doing exactly that, when I refused to rate a modded car.

 

Getting "banned" from the next iteration of the thread for everything I've done, which I don't believe to be worth posting in anyway given the mod team's track record, is worth it. At least I now see the mods for the inconsistent, temperamental "never my fault" type that they really are.

I disagree with the forum staff to allow modded cars in the "rate the car above" thread. It's complete bullsh*t.

A car from another source than GTA V and Online should not be rated as a GTA V or Online car just because you put it there. It's a f*cking nonsense.

I agree, Last time I checked a majority of members were against modded cars in the thread.

 

This isn't Forza or Autoblog. It's Grand Theft Auto. I can understand people playing with modded cars, but as far as the thread is concerned there's no real skill in making a real life car look good in a video game. It's out of place.

 

We might as well have people upload real world Instagram pics to the Miss Los Santos contest.

I don't mind modded cars, but I thought we were finally over all that drama. There were a ton of arguments, a poll was created, more arguments, and it was decided. It only just died down and got back to normal for a few days, then here we are again, more drama and arguments. Meh.

 

 

I haven't actually seen any arguments just people. Including me a bit. Laughing at the fact we had a poll that said no one wanted modded cars yet they're allowed. And THEN post that off topic posts and no rates or car pics will be deleted and the very next second they are off topic and don't rate nooor post a car to be rated

What is all this about PC modded cars? What does that even mean? Are PC modded cars the cars you mod in LSC? I have literally no idea what it means and I don't wanna get in trouble for posting cars in the "rate car thread". oh, just noticed the thread is locked, guess I won't be posting any cars regardless.

Doing a GTA race, with catch up on. Really? I don't want my fully upgraded Osiris getting sapped because the asshat host can't keep up with his Voltic. I'm decently ahead of everyone, grabbing all the boost I can, and the host gets on mic: "Yo, Rekia, why you cheating? There's no way you can legit be that far ahead! Quit using mods you f*ggot!" Really? Just because I grab every boost I see and steer clear of other people and their bumper car bullsh*t that means I'm cheating? Playing the game smart is now considered cheating?

Im not sure if this is a new thing with people who die one time then quit the game, do they do it with single player games aswell?

 

I have been gaming since the early 90's on NES, back then people would keep playing till the end no matter how many times we die, and back then there where limited lives and no checkpoints, no regenerating health or even game saves, you would have to complete the game in one run.

 

I don't find any game challenging today, they are more like interactive movies, there's nothing challenging at all on GTA V story mode, and even for those people who are stuck and fail 3 times there's the option to skip that part and move on HAHA.

 

 

I hope Fallout 4 will have a hardcore mode to keep it interesting.

Received anonymous invite and joined hells angels for the hell of it...never been in a crew....after one day, learned crew is scum and joined samcro prospects....forgot to delete hells angels.....got kicked from samcro prospects after a few days. Fml

 

I've run into supposed "Hell's Angels" in multiple sessions. They are, by far, the most hilarious bunch of drama queens I've run into in my two years on GTAO. I'd take an OG Gangsta Thugz or Call Of Modern Battlefield Warfare crew over those fairies any day.

 

Also, in regard to the Rate The Car Above You Thread, I'm dumbfounded by how that went down. I understand closing the thread because of all the arguing. Personally, I don't think modded cars should be allowed; there's no way a R* knockoff will ever compete with an accurate model of the actual car (though I don't care enough to disagree, much less argue about it). But to close the old thread, then open a new version of the exact same thread doesn't make sense.

 

The closure of the old thread was the perfect opportunity to open two new, separate threads; one for in-game cars and one for PC Master Race creations. To open the exact same thread without that distinction is just going to hurt it. No idea how no one thought about that. Unless they didn't feel like policing both and constantly moving pics...

Why close the most successful thread on this forum? Like wtf. Once that new thread gets past the first page not one single f*ck will be given about the new OP anyways. People just click the little arrows and go straight to the last page. Its like a window breaking and you replace it with a newer broken window. The issue still stands that it is broken.

Players nowadays consume, they dont play. Dying/failing is a reason to quit, not a reason to try it again in a different way. The first interactive movies failed, but to be honest i find the story mode of V is more an interactive movie than a game. In this case it's ok, because it's pretty decent. If something is not working immediately, people get frustrated over it. You see that in GTAO a lot. There are good reasons to quit a heist after someone died, if that happens because of the players inexperience, it will happen again. Quitting saves your time. But it's the inexperienced player who don't want to make progress. Considering that GTAO - and every other game - is played by a lot of kids, it might have a lot to do with (the lack of) education nowadays. Kids get everything they want when they want it. Food, toys, video games and success in video games. I`m not a big gamer and missed a whole decade except for a very few franchises. That's why I was wondering why a 95% scripted game like Fifa UT is so successful. It is not although it is 95% scripted, but because of that. Kids are totally spoiled and the increased parents wealth or income is not the reason for that. If those kids would have a losing streak, the parents would by another game. If the game let's them win, the parents buy another booster pack or a new DLC. The only thing I noticed people are not impatient nowadays is when they watch commerical breaks. Probably because the content between the breaks is so crappy that it does not make a real difference.

race is another crappy custom race with ramps you need to drive up to get to first point

my super car (along with everyone else's) is too low to ride up the ramp

I try for a good 15 minutes before leaving

try again

that 1 vapid blade race

race begins, holding second and about to take 1st when 3rd comes up behind and crashes into 1st who crashes into me

the collision with me sends me off the f*cking elevated highway while 1st and 3rd are f*cking fine

I have to respawn, manage to catch up against the odds and dirty racers, my 1337 catchup and slipstream skills can't compete with the other guys 1337 catchup and slipstream skills, I end up 2nd

decide to stick around because finally a lobby with more than 3 people

sanchez race around sandy shores

hold 1st but catchup and slipstream are a bitch

someguy swipes into me and causes me to eat it while he remains fine

manage to catchup because he eventually got his I guess, try the same sh*t to him but I eat it again thanks to the magnificent physics engine

don't recall my position at the end, stick around still

at the races, going in circles in my brawler ftw

drive directly into sanchez with slipstream on me, sanchez racers don't f*cking fall off

still manage 1st every lap until the very last stretch

master of all catchup slams me into rail and gets 1st

I love this game. No problems for me at all. Playable, fun and not a waste of my time. Rockstar are tremendous coders.

It's a great game, unfortunately, MP is not the same after Heists, almost no new Contact Missions, repetitive as hell. SP feels stripped down, basic features such as garage, safehouses, car insurance are missing, why would i spend millions on car modding if there's no more than 5 or 6 races, and missions like I Fought The Law forces you to use a standard car, how much more fun would it be to do that mission on your own modded car?.

 

I see GTA V and Online like amazing games, but considering how much better they could have been leaves me with a bittersweet feeling.

 

 

SP has garages, safehouses(kinda), animals, random events, crazier waves during storms, and a whole lot of other sh*t. No way is it stripped down compared to Online.

You can't buy safehouses, I wonder what could I do with over 2 Billions, since I can't have more than 6 cars, and I don't want to buy the same car and mod it over and over cause I crash at 200mph and die. I'm sick and tired of playing the same 5 car races over and over, with a huuuuuuge map, you have only 5 races and all of them on the city.

 

Don't get me wrong, I loved both SP and MP, and I've played them for almost 2 years non stop, but it could have been SO MUCH BETTER.

 

P.S.: Why are the Stinger GT, the Khamelion, both Insurgents, both Kurumas, the Hydra, the Valkyrie, and the rest of the Heists vehicles MP only?, Why I can't have them?, Didn't I paid the same as those who enjoy them on MP?, Or is it that nobody buys Cash cards for SP?, i'm not a Keshkerd-tinfoil-hat-douchebag that blames everything that's wrong on the game to cash cards, but I've been asking chrome rims since launch and I don't understand why they make them MP only. In fact, when the Heists DLC dropped, they included a chromed rim on SP by mistake, so there's no technical reason to exclude them.

Both SP and MP are dumbed down compared to each other, albeit in different sectors.

 

 

Pegasus, MMI and some of the other GTAO services like the mechanic, Lester's cop magics or MW's chopper/boat pickup would make SP a lot less frustrating (at the very least, MMI is).

 

GTAO, on the other hand, could use the more colorful free roam of SP - More traffic variety, animals, blimps, fixed-wing air traffic, etc.

Pc modded cars are cars from the pc version of the game imported or upgraded through downloads or mods. For instance having a Ferrari in the game. Personally they shouldn't be posted in a thread that was meant for showing off legitimate car customization. Pictures in that thread at first were cool, but eventually people didn't get that it's for in game cars and they started posting mods and people would give them 10/10.

GTAO has steadily gone downhill with every month that passes and new DLC that comes out. Squeakers are over running this game... I'm glad school is starting soon because then I can play during the day without hearing some kid call everyone a fäg and a butt pirate and all other kinds of bullsh*t then bitching when everyone goes after them. And yes, I could play in an invite only session, but that sh*t gets boring after a while. What parent in their right mind lets a nine year old play this game anyways? That sh*t annoys the hell out of me. And when you do sh*t with these kids, they're f*cking obnoxious as hell. They run you over, make everything a race to get somewhere first, can't drive for sh*t and when you do get somewhere before them, they have a complete bitchfit and run you over or blow you up. Why can't there be different servers, one for mature people and one for squeakers who want to be dumbasses and kill everyone in a five mile radius? Better yet, why aren't there systems implemented to make it so that kids can't play this game? Well, it's not like we don't have squeakers over here, but the only time when it's getting really worse for me is when I get into an american lobby. I don't have to check the lobbylist or something, I can tell when I get matched to a freeroam lobby with americans on my friendslist in the second I arrive. Move to another continent! In a full lobby, maybe three people have their mic plugged in here, two of them broadcast background noise, one is a squeaker. Still a reason to call the mugger, but if I were a US citizien, the mugger cooldown would really piss me off.

 

In missions, I use to check the profiles of the teammates. If they say language: English (USA) it's not a good sign. I dont have any kind of prejudices towards americans but the expierence told me that your freeroam lobbies are by far the worst.
