This isn't Forza or Autoblog. It's Grand Theft Auto. I can understand people playing with modded cars, but as far as the thread is concerned there's no real skill in making a real life car look good in a video game. It's out of place.

 

We might as well have people upload real world Instagram pics to the Miss Los Santos contest.

I was. And in response to hyperar, the Online mode has so much potential to be better and more diverse than what it already is. The problem is that the game gets worse with every update that gets issued. Something just goes bump in the coding that f*cks up a certain aspect of the game.

This x100000000000000. The game was AMAZING in June and July last year during 1.14 and 1.15 Patches. I had my most fun during that time. The game went downhill quickly since the Christmas update, and the second update after the Heists Patch literally broke EVERYTHING that was left unbroken. Its unreal.

 

You seem to have technical issues while my complain is not that, but how the game has changed after the Heists DLC, such us now every piece of new content has the most ridiculous price tag, and the fact that there are almost(?) no new contact missions, which is what people play the most, instead we have those stupid versus missions. If you see older CM you see that they had a story, maybe bad but they had one, now we have "bikers have to get to X before truckers blow them up", WTF Martin, what the hell happened to you?. We have heists that give a lot of money making older content very cheap and easy to get and new content is just ti expensive considering the negative experience Heists are.

 

As you can see, i think we're complaining about different things. Plus you're on LG, which has it's own set of problems, i personally have no technical issues on PS4.

 

The general connection problems affect all platforms, not just LG.

I don't mind modded cars, but I thought we were finally over all that drama. There were a ton of arguments, a poll was created, more arguments, and it was decided. It only just died down and got back to normal for a few days, then here we are again, more drama and arguments. Meh.

I would also like to say, TCMike that arguments on the thread itself were discouraged so as not to distract from the posting/rating of personal vehicles. Hence the poll. Despite the popular vote, an executive decision was made and real-life cars are allowed in the thread like it or not.

 

We're not having this discussion in that thread. We're having it in Bitch & Moan. So honestly it's no harm to anyone voicing a dissenting opinion here. It's not like it matters

Off topic here but I put in gta the other day and its loading story mode as usual. However instead of finding myself flying a jet above the city like I've saved it, I'm in an online race with a level 17. Personally this is the biggest mindf*ck I've had this week.

I love this game. No problems for me at all. Playable, fun and not a waste of my time. Rockstar are tremendous coders.

It's a great game, unfortunately, MP is not the same after Heists, almost no new Contact Missions, repetitive as hell. SP feels stripped down, basic features such as garage, safehouses, car insurance are missing, why would i spend millions on car modding if there's no more than 5 or 6 races, and missions like I Fought The Law forces you to use a standard car, how much more fun would it be to do that mission on your own modded car?.

 

I see GTA V and Online like amazing games, but considering how much better they could have been leaves me with a bittersweet feeling.

 

 

SP has garages, safehouses(kinda), animals, random events, crazier waves during storms, and a whole lot of other sh*t. No way is it stripped down compared to Online.

Heists. First, wait 20 minutes or more to actually get 4 players. Then, fail.

 

By now, people are so incredibly f*cking bored and burned out, that if a heist / setup ever even gets a chance to start, players just do stupid random sh*t, kind of half-assed trolling combined with just plain being extra stupid and not caring. This is almost what they would do if they were in a friendly fire lobby; since they can't kill other players, they just do random chaotic sh*t for fun.

 

It's getting more pointless all the time. Rockstar's grand plan, their big online future, is looking pretty f*cking rudderless. I just don't know what they are thinking.

There was one, at first in the GTAV PC section, then moved to GTAO section around the time of the poll, then suddenly nuked along with the poll because the mod team went power-mad and went directly against the poll results.

I hate races with "catch up" on. I know it's supposed to be a way for everyone to have a fighting chance against higher level players with better cars, but I think once you turn off the option to use your own cars, the catch up would have to be turned off too because there really isn't any disadvantages except the ones very clearly depicted in the stats. Just a few minutes ago I entered a race (the one that goes all around the map) with 10 other players, own vehicles was turned off but catch up was on, we were using supercars so eveyone chose Entities or Adders (I was in an Adder). The race starts and unsurprisingly everyone started crashing into each other, I'm a clean racer so I avoided the chaos as best as I could and ended up way ahead of everyone else. Seconds later, an Entity flies past me, a douche rams me off the road and I end up in last place, all in less than a minute. Two more times I managed to get in the lead without touching anyone else's car but the same happened again, the stupid catch up allowed them to not only do that but to ram me off the damned road several times. I finished the race in fourth place because they were playing bumper cars again near the finish line so most of them got stuck there so yeah... f*cking catch up.

*Sigh* Well I needed to rant. I am okay now.

I honestly believe that they do not understand the process of rating a car. Like they don't understand that cars are rated based on the modifications done to them. Like, that is the whole point. Idk.

 

The PC modded cars are certainly cool and I like them, I just think they need their own thread. This is everyones forum, the mods don't own anything, I think it should be up to everyone, not just the mods.

I would have less problem with catch-up if it enhances the cars falling behind like a normal racing game, instead of slowing down the lead car like it currently does. I didn't upgrade my car to have my engine power magically decreased in a race.

 

The concept of catch-up is to artificially make the race more intense than it would be otherwise. The ideal system, seen in some racing games, dynamically adjusts the strength of the catch-up boost according to a car's distance from the lead car, with it basically being non-existent when it's close. It works far better than the current GTAO system.

Seeing as someone directly named me as the sole reason that the current thread got locked, even though it's a direct result of their disastrous intervention, it should be pretty evident that they don't understand a thing about the thread or even give a damn to it. They make no effort to improve the thread or at the very least fix the ongoing problem, and their only concern is to get the problem out of their sight ASAP in whatever method possible.

 

It is also hilarious when the mod in question say it's "SO VERY EASY to skip a post and rate the next car" (exact words), while the other mod lurking the thread dumps my posts into the memory hole for doing exactly that, when I refused to rate a modded car.

 

Getting "banned" from the next iteration of the thread for everything I've done, which I don't believe to be worth posting in anyway given the mod team's track record, is worth it. At least I now see the mods for the inconsistent, temperamental "never my fault" type that they really are.

The mods on these forums are exactly like rockstar. They don't f*cking listen to anyone
