Anachronistic

So decided to dip into survival and get this week's weapon for my main character.

I got to the "kill a critter while starving" requirement so I decided to use my low level character to spawn in at the relay tower west of Flatwoods, walk down to the hotel and get me an opossum.

So I spawn in and not only is there a player nearby with a bounty but another player popping up on my compass stalking him. What're the odds. Lol.

Seems like there is only one active survival server. Lobby hopped twice to be put back into the same server.

I think it's just set up that way to stop people from easily running away.

During the double XP weekend several weeks ago, I went to Survival only to claim Workshop and then server hop.

There I found quickly server hopping would put me back in the same server and the Workshop I took returned under my nametag.

So in order to 'refresh' it, I server hopped to Adventure Mode, then hopped back to Survival, then Adventure again, and so on...

The wendigo colossus looks interesting. Hopefully it won't be as weak as a regular wendigo.

Hey...

Can someone point me to where I can read the new rules for robot vendors?

I swear it seems broken.  For days now no matter what I want to sell it just say "you'll only receive 3 caps because blah blah limit blah blah".

What the f*ck is going on here?

Never mind... cap limit.  I'm an idiot.

Man, it seems it's true assholes who can no longer one-shot spawn kill or potshotting people in Survival have moved to Adventure, since I've seen more of these sh*theels in Adventure Mode lately and they always involved some low level players to as low as level 17 (probably trapped them into PvP).

I ran into a live one last Saturday when defending Sunshine Delbert from 1-wave Mole Rats. When it almost ended, a PA guy (level 133) popped up, I gave thumb up, and he helped me clearing the last few molerats. As soon as it ended, he took over and killed my third char (level 51) in less than 10 seconds.

Yep. The type of pestilent people who call Adventure Mode players as carebear for not wanting PvP and yet they wouldn't stay in Survival Mode for it. 💩

In addition to that, we also got more kill-hoggers in Events killing Legendaries for themselves. At Quake Con they said that Event reward will be based on the individual's performance in future updates. I only can see that new rule is going to make it worse.

^ makes me feel terrible for coming up on someone at the Berkley Springs workshop.

I just was going to claim it for the weekly but someone was already there. I was pretty much going to server hop but I was going to borrow their cooking station first, maybe help them with the defend mission.

Anyways they were gone after I killed a couple of mirelurks I had spawned in. I would've probably left too.

I really don't know how to approach a WS non-threateningly, I understand a lot of trolls will wave, give thumbs up and hearts as well.

Pretty.productive day. Even though I couldn't play.long I got that, kill a gulper in gulper lagoon, play collision course in responder gear and level up well fed, in an unstoppable's costume and with a musical weapon done.

Personally I would understand if that Workshop was a challenge requirement - or even if somebody is just needing it. I have took over Workshop a few times (without killing) and have had my Workshop taken over even more times. Not a problem to me if someone else claims them. Except when someone waltz in to trap someone half their level wielding 10mm Pistol because they are desperate for Player Kill. That's different story.

The guy who killed me at Sunshine Delbert didn't even do anything in the Workshop when I came back. f*cker was AFK. So to compensate the Cloth and Steel he snatched, I sneaked in, grabbed every world-spawn items, and left with even more materials than I lost. Hah!

I think if you want to take over, perhaps just don't be hostile first unless the other player is on-par to your level.

I got killed in Workshop twice under two different characters, but both ran under the same scene: The other guys were higher level, were wearing PA, 'helped' in Defend mission. In first case, I was shot in the back when I already walked away and was checking PipBoy. The second case, I was shot as I was walking away with my gun holstered.

--------

Yesterday was lucky day for my third character. I stored every Aid items in the STASH and went to Survival for the Medical Malpractice. I was put in a server with only one other player lol. I went to the Guided Meditation event to unleash critical hits. The next time I came back to Adventure, I realized I have gained 2 Levels.

Fast forward into the Uranium Fever event with a few level 100+ PA fellas like it was a PA orgy. Equipped my 10mm Pistol and managed to quickly tag around 5 Glowing Mole Miners from 1-3* as they spawned. Scrip-ed most Legendaries I got, except the 2* LMG with '10% more damage when aiming' and 'more damage on same target' attributes. Tested on Super Muties camp nearby and despite being a full Gunslinger, the LMG worked pretty well. 👌 After the test, I walked back to Whitespring Station and found someone dropped 44 Glowing Meats. LOL! With that, I have a total of 56 Glowing Meats in my pocket and so I sold 50 pieces. Literally free caps from a bad-decision fella. Weeeeee~

Fast forward again to Charleston to do a mission, but before that I headed for the Charleston Station. Another bad decision made by a player and bought a Black Prospector Hat, which is a rare item. Forgot the other thing that I bought, but it's quite rare as well. GG. :cookie:

FALLOUT 76: PATCH 11.5 NOTES – AUGUST 1, 2019

We’re releasing Patch 11.5 today, which includes the new Meat Week Seasonal Event (available until August 8th) as well as a number of bug fixes. Read on to catch the full list of patch notes for today’s update.

PATCH HIGHLIGHTS

  • Meat Week Seasonal Event: Until August 8, claim Prime Meat from Primal Cuts Events and bring it to Grahm’s Meat-Cook Event to earn Legendary Scrips. Help Grahm throw a successful Meat-Cook, and you’ll receive some special loot, too!
  • Rock Out! Tune in to Appalachia Radio to catch the cover of “Ring of Fire” from the Nuclear Winter trailer.

PATCH VERSION

Download sizes for this update will be approximately 6 GB for consoles and 1.5 GB for PC.

  • PC: 1.2.1.32
  • PS4: 1.2.1.32
  • Xbox: 1.2.1.32

Please Note: An issue currently affecting the Bethesda.net launcher is causing patch download sizes on PC to appear much larger than they are. This is a visual issue only, and the actual size of the patch is as mentioned above.

NEW SEASONAL EVENT: MEAT WEEK

Grahm is hosting a barbeque for all his human friends during the Meat Week Seasonal Event, and you’re invited! However, he’s going to need a whole lot of meat and a few helping hands to make sure everyone has a great time and can eat their fill.

Meat Week starts today at 12:00 p.m. EDT, lasts until 12:00 p.m. EDT on August 8, and is made up of two separate but related events: Primal Cuts and Grahm’s Meat-Cook.

PRIMAL CUTS EVENT
  • Prime Beasts are on the prowl, and cuts of meat from these creatures make for some of the finest barbeque fare a friendly Super Mutant could ask for.
    • You’ll receive some Prime Meat every time you complete a Primal Cuts Event. Bring it to Grahm’s Meat-Cook Event and add it to the grill for a special reward.
  • Three Primal Cuts Event locations will appear on the Map simultaneously about every 15 minutes.
    • Difficulty is tuned differently at each location so that adventurers of all levels can join the hunt for Prime Beasts.
GRAHM’S MEAT-COOK EVENT
  • Grahm’s got his hands full manning the grill all week long at his Meat-Cook Event, which begins every hour in the Forest region.
    • Join other Meat-Cook attendees to complete various activities that will ensure everyone has a blast, like playing musical instruments, roasting meat, and putting out fires, among others.
    • If the Meat-Cook is a success, you’ll receive some barbeque-themed rewards. The better the party, the higher your chances at better loot.
  • Remember to place any Prime Meat you’ve collected on the grill, and Grahm will give you a few Legendary Scrips as a “thank you” for your efforts.

Primal Cuts and Grahm’s Meat-Cook can be repeated as often as they’re available on the Map. Revisit them regularly to maximize your rewards during Meat Week.

SOUND

  • Radio: The cover of “Ring of Fire” from the Nuclear Winter trailer has been added to the Appalachia Radio playlist.

BUG FIXES

  • Animation: The Cardinal Windchime now animates correctly when placed.
  • Graphics: Lightning visual effects that appear when activating Pylons during the Encryptid Event no longer appear on the player’s screen.

  • Textures: While wearing the Nuka Girl Rocketsuit, the character’s midriff no longer displays texture issues.
C.A.M.P., CRAFTING, AND WORKSHOPS
  • Fertilizer Producers: No longer consume more C.A.M.P. budget than intended.
  • Billboard: Lengthened the legs of the Billboard so they appear to sink into the ground when placed on sloped terrain.
ITEMS

  • Power Armor: Headlamp lights no longer appear near the player’s feet when using a Power Armor Paint in Adventure Mode that was unlocked by ranking-up in Nuclear Winter.
  • Power Armor: The Inspect menu now correctly displays the selected item when inspecting items equipped to a Power Armor Chassis.
  • Power Armor: Addressed a rare issue that could prevent a player from exiting Power Armor on level terrain.
NUCLEAR WINTER
  • Enemies: Fixed an issue that could cause a ghoul to spawn inside an inaccessible building in Sutton.
  • Weapons: The Cowboy Perk now correctly increases Laser Auto Pistol damage when equipped.
PERFORMANCE AND STABILITY
  • Stability: Implemented an improvement for server stability.
SOUND
  • Vending Machines: Music will no longer play when attempting to access a Vending Machine that’s currently in use by another player.
USER INTERFACE
  • Atomic Shop: Fixed an issue preventing PC players in China, Latin America, and Taiwan from purchasing Atoms.
  • Atomic Shop: On PC, the “Confirm” button that appears when inspecting an item in the Atomic Shop can now be clicked to purchase that item.
  • Atomic Shop: Fixed an issue that could prevent the Atomic Shop from visually updating when switching categories after entering the Atomic Shop from locations other than the Main Menu.
  • Notifications: When attempting to assign an item to a Vending Machine or Fermenter that is full, an error message will now appear to indicate that the item could not be assigned.

Anyway, my attention is at this piece

We’ve also tweaked the drop rates so that they’re more favorable toward 2- and 3-star legendary items. While you may see fewer 1-star legendary drops, you may notice that 2- and 3-star drops happen more frequently!

Also PSA Double XP weekend:

In celebration of the beginning of Meat Week, we're kicking off a new Double XP Event today for Adventure and Survival Modes.

But I can't play right now. lol

Why you do this Bethesda?

So I'm making my way over to the center of the map from Watoga and using my excavator jump of some cliffs. Upon exiting I glitch, I'm somewhat relieved that I don't freeze up my character as has been known to as of late. Instead though my PA disappears, wtf.on top of that my hud breaks, hp and ap bars are gone, my status icons are still in the right place but my hunger and thirst are on the left side, middle of the screen.

Cue the Bethesda broke 76 again click bait.

Edit: I still have my PA. Had to wait out the recall timer.

Would it have killed them to add a few more songs?  Excited that they added Ring of Fire but still...

Honestly - Can't we just unearth a whole new station(with a library of different songs.) to add to the pipboy?

@prime cuts

My days are crazy so I'm behind a bit.  When/how does dude do the actual cookout.  I did a bunch of prime cuts events, got sh*t tons of prime meat, but it all spoils pretty quick.  Is it just a matter of me playing long enough and being patient until 5he cookout is called?

You need 5 cuts to add to the pot Grahm is stewing. I've only received 3 from a single primal cut so you should do multiple before going.

However you don't NEED meat but it probably effects your rewards. Many people log out between getting the meat and going to the bbq. I've been hopping on a secondary to work on weeklies.

Spoiler

Also feeding Chally may help with rewards. Buy the recipe from Grahm, it requires 2 boiled water, 2 carrots, 3 razor grain, 3 tatos if you want to gather the ingredients first. (Good with salt or refrigeration mods are really necessary w/ this quest)

I couldn't do the quest solo but if you get multiple people, someone needs to be on the drums and another turning the spit, up to 3 each. These seem to help most with the event but someone should be also running around doing the little stuff.

That confused me so to make it simple. 2 people, one on spit/drum, one running around. 3 people, one on spit, one on drums, one running around. 4 people, 2 on spit, one on drums, one running around. And so on.

Cool.  Yeah, I was well stocked for the 2pm cookout I just did.  I prob did about 4 prime cuts before hand and had tons of meat.

The cookout itself wasn't all that exciting itself.  I did take a pic - I'll edit in.

Yeah. It's getting tedious.

Primal meats are not occurring.

Everybody wants to kill squirrels, nobody wants to turn the spit or play drums. II'm trying desperately to not be that know it all that hops on mic and barks orders but had a level 15 run around with his pipe pistol. I had my tesla, I could kill multiple critters without trying but I was the only person in the drums. There was a 101 on the spit but he for bored and started killing squirrels.

Players kept frigging shopping! One even sat down and cooked!

Then it seemed obvious that we were failing and people started going afk. If you're going to go afk, do it on a drum dammit.

Of course we fail, I give the angry emote, someone gives a thumbs down and were all off on our unmerry way.

Now I'm googling a food map while server hopping for a primal meats.

Edit:

Yeah. I don't think that is usable

Okay last night I switched around 3 characters, playing Primal Cuts and they occurred back to back. Double XP + Primal Cuts Events are insane. Gained a lot of levels and Caps on second and third just by tagging the enemies though it sometimes kinda annoying because not only there were a lot of strong players, many of them were also butchering things with Bloody Mess.

Funny though, a lot of players were always concentrated in one spot, but the Events did not go haywire like nuked Whitespring.

So far no failures on Grahm's Cook Out, but more than half attending were only AFK-ing... I mean, seriously, in my first try, I came a bit late and the field was on fire. Grahm was muttering about cooking and a lot of fire, but nobody extinguished it. lol

Here what counts to the progress bar:

1. Dropping Prime Meat in the center cooking pit with skewered Yao Guai and boiling pot. 5 Prime Meats per batch. Each batch gives you 5 Scrips.

2. Dropping Critter Meat (lootable item after killing live Squirrel, Chicken, Rabbit) in the Snack trolley. Don't bank the meat. Harvest and drop.

3. Dropping Greens (harvestable plant as sampled in there) in the Greens box.

4. Adding Woods to the stack of branches beside cooking station

5. Scoop Chally's dung pile. They are big enough to spot...

6. Dropping Chally's Feed at the fodder stack. I think you need to buy the Chally's Feed plan from Grahm and craft it prior to the event.

7. Cleaning junk pile. Usually spawn on the ground a bit outside from the center zone. Looks like a mushy rotten meat with bones.

8. Putting out fire on burning patches.

9. Play drums on the stage.

At least somewhere around 80% progress bar should be reached in order to success the event at its lowest tier.

The rewards I got so far:

1. Meat Week Flag Plan

2. Bloody Cook Outfit (this is the original bloody variant as opposed to the clean one in Atomic Shop)

3. Bloody Cook Hat

4. Meat Cleaver (throwable weapon)

updated list

Spoiler

5. Tenderizer (Hammer) - Anachronistic

6. Mild Meat Sweats (effect) - Anachronistic

7. Grillmaster's Hat (Black Chef Hat) For some reason it's marked as Atomic Shop item. I hope they don't remove it like the Deathclaw topiary to sell later on. Wtf.

8. Meat Cleaver Plan

Got it

The tenderizer

156 base damage level 50

Part sea mine

Part beer keg

gpx0z4r.jpg

R9frltW.jpg

First reward I got yesterday was a mod plan for it. Peppered I think. Haven't installed it.

After server hopping 2hrs straight, I got 2 primal cuts in a row at the same spot in flatwoods. Ran to the cook out and had enough people not to fail, thankfully considering how long it took to get my 6 pieces of meat.

Weighing at 16lbs, that and the exterminator's mini gun I'm surprised I made it Morgantown to scrip the mini gun.

Switched over to my low level, who I was able to drop down to ft weight. Did a cook out but was only able to get the cleavers, tato salad, a nocturnal metal leg and some grilled rad stag.

Glad I had the rad stag because other wise I was over ft weight.

Hop down to camp behind riverside manor and trek over to Charleston train station to scrip the metal leg.

Up pops an ash heal primal cuts, 12 caps down to there. My 29 was not ready for the sea of crickets and rad rats that came at me and the 26, the only other player there. We persevered however. Long enough until higher levels showed up for the sheepsquatch.

Coming out of Welch station, scripping another useless legendary I get another primal cut at the same spot. Fortunately the high levels were still around, with my trusty spear broken I was not ready for the whole battle again. Cravenly as it was I sat on a flatbed train car, just inside the event, waited until the sheepsquatch showed up, ran in and tagged it.

Disposed of yet another useless legendary just in time for the cook out.

I get there and start working on clean up. I'm there for a good minute and nobodies showing. Well I'm not going to add my prime meat if nobody's going to show. I continue to work clean up and the only damn person that shows trades with Grahm.

So I log off so my 8 pieces of prime don't spoil.

From failure to victory to failure. Hell of a day.

Prime Cuts event is seriously getting annoying with marsupial people holding explosive weapons killhogging every single thing spawning in even during the Flatwoods Prime Cuts. Most of it turns into a race to enemy spawn points.

Did one in Ash Heap before ending my session, only with a level 60 player. We failed to complete in time, but we had Sheepsquatch spawned. Nice experience.

Got an Anti Armor Fat Man. Anyone want?

I'll pass.

I got a vampire's auto railway rifle of some one wants it.

On another topic, anybody ever get the meat sweats before?

Em01VSw.jpg

Sounds pretty op. Hunger doesn't decay.

I didn't realize I had it because I'd really like to fart on someone or something. Lol

Edit: DISAPPOINTING!!

I guess it's something you get from the cook out and is dependant on how much meat you put it. (5 will get you mild meat sweats)

Anyways just did another and got MMS again so I let myself get surrounded by a pack of forest mutts. Not a single one ripped!

Make that 2 tenderizer mods

Peppered

Spicy

Also found this in my inventory

KTXhyFp.jpg

Could've sworn I got a shishkebab plan too

Now comes the desperate race to get a tenderizer for my spicy mod.

Anybody feed Chally?

Just wondering if there's different rewards for that.

Edit. Just set up a farm just for Chally's feed. I got the usual from the cook out. Still only have the one tenderizer.

1. Meat Week Flag Plan

2. Bloody Cook Outfit (this is the original bloody variant as opposed to the clean one in Atomic Shop)

3. Bloody Cook Hat

4. Meat Cleaver (throwable weapon)

5. Tenderizer (Hammer) - Anachronistic

6. Mild Meat Sweats (effect) - Anachronistic

7. Grillmaster's Hat (Black Chef Hat) For some reason it's marked as Atomic Shop item. I hope they don't remove it like the Deathclaw topiary to sell later on. Wtf.

8. Meat Cleaver Plan

9. Fireworks mine

10. Tenderizer Mods (Spicy, Peppered) Got the Spicy one last night. Don't even have the weapon...

11. Shishkebab Plan

I finally seriously use Flamer on my heavy gun character with a random Legendary Flamer, Mutant Slayer. Damage is really good and it feels nice to use.

It eats health as nice as it eats my Acid and Oil stocks away before I can recover my Lead.

Anachronistic

Well that was garbage. There was like 10 of us hanging out. I was in a good lobby, I was getting 3 primal cuts every hour (although the 3rd overlapped with the cook out so I never did that one) just trying desperately to get a 2nd tenderizer, this one for my bloodied character. I figured we'd have time until maintenance.

Anyways there was a bunch of us waoting for the 2nd to last one to start when everything disappeared. No more meat week.

Well I'm glad I stopped learning awarded plans. I'll transfer my salted plan over to my main and sell my meat flag and peppered mod plan at my vender.

Yay!

Excited for item display.   I'm guessing items will still retain their weight and they'll just be outside of the stash box...which probably means it will also count against camp inventory.

It pains me that I can't put Nuka Colas in my Nuka Cola machine.
