I see this problem every now and again. If you notice the link in the second post on this page, it says one thing but it actually links to that topic page and not what the link says.

You've got to love a support thread that is devoid of any support, I was the last poster TWELVE days ago.

 

Anyway, just in case someone decides that the problems are really problems, there seems to be an issue with the views/replies indicators.

 

In the GTA V Coding forum (where nobody goes), there are 2 threads that are showing at least one reply but have 0 views. I'm not quite sure how iyou can reply without viewing the thread but it seems possible. That forum is bad enough with the lack of activity but if the views are being reported incorrectly, then it's just making the forum seem worse than it already is. Zero is definitely the magic number in that forum.

 

If anyone dares to look into it, better bring a feather duster, the cobwebs are pretty bad in that forum.

 

Just as a further point to this and my previous comment. The issues I mentioned are particularly important in that forum. It relies on information being presented in a clear and usable fashion. Dumping a whole class-worth of code into a single line, is anything but clear and usable. Links that take you to the page you're on are about as close to useless as it can get.

 

I guess someone needs to decide if the GTA V modding section is serving any purpose, because looking around various sites, GTA V modding seems to be going down the drain... or it's finding a new home on that godawful Discord.

Usually when you join a new forum you get a 'welcome to the forum' which tells you how it works etc.

 

I understand like most forums new memebers don't have all of the same rights as other members which is expected but where can I find out what those restrictions are and when I can unlock them.

how many posts in a row can I post?

Hi,

 

regardless of whether this account spamming troll ever stops populating many users' follower lists, and shutting down the follower lists entirely is the wrong strategy imho (I don't tear down a wall only because a graffiti punk keeps making tags on it), I am curious if there is any prospect of getting the clutter under control? As one of their earliest and most frequented recipients - for whatever reasons - I have so far 37 of them.

 

Expand the blocking feature? Muting?
Or at least give us the option to hide the whole list without deactivating the whole feature (why block legitimate followers?); like it can be done with the 'recent visitors' list? I've never quite seen the sense in "showing off" followers, particularly since we have no control over them. It's not like "friendships" in a social network. The whole feature looks a bit half-cooked to be honest, not only because of the troll. It needs reworking.

 

Or can't meanwhile some staff/mod/admin just enter the spam profiles and make them un-follow?

It's still a testing phase, currently only the Staff and members of the OGA are allowed to test them, while we knock out the final bugs.

 

(And it is still only a 500x150 px limit.)

i have since a few weeks major performence issues with the new design (like that scrolling stutters BADLY)

but that isn´t the case with the christmas theme.

is there anything under the hood going in´the normal theme that isn´t in the christmas one?

 

(to put it into perspective: imagine the christmas theme like 30 fps and the normal theme like 5 fps.

So is it just me or does the layout for the mobile version of the website seem kinda messed up? This happened to me just now. It was fine before. The screen is bigger than it should be.

Even if I resize the member photo, it keep asking to adjust it. The forum doesn't disclose the maximum size of the member photo. It just state the maximum file size.

There's no way to create a table using just the forum unfortunately, you have to create a HTML table elsewhere (there's various HTML table generators if you search on google) and copy-paste it, or use something like microsoft word or google docs to copy/paste from.

Ive noticed that it’s actually now easy to paste in a table from excel and it will retain its formatting - where it gets more tricky is changing the number rows/columns or simply deleting it altogether - although presumably I can do that by altering the html code when editing a post.

I saw American Venom's 30,000 post, which prompted me to look at my count. Over 13,000 right now but I know for sure I was close to 25,000
