A lot of things are different, a lot are the same, overall we tried to make it as close as possible to the GTAF experience you've grown used to. That said, with time new ways of doing things come along and we need to get on board with it, as much as we don't want to. It still looks pretty much like the old GTAF, but it's brand new, it will take time for the community, and for us, to get used to. GTAForums 2018 is the new default skin, and as it is considered the final thing, we will wait for your feedback in the new few days to make changes where need to. You can also expect new skins. Every time you connect to GTAForums, is now done under a encrypted connection. No one will steal your passwords, or memes. Note: Although your boss still might know you're posting on a gaming forum, he won't know you're posting about him, you're welcome. Recently Used Device Under your Account Settings, it's now logged devices you used to log into GTAForums, if you notice a weird device/location that hasn't been used by you, contact an Admin immediately. GTANet is now compliant with GDPR, how does that affect you? uNi Posted May 28, 2018 Author Share Posted May 28, 2018 Improvements regarding GTAForums Topic preview If you hover above a topic title, it will now display a new window, allowing you to preview the first and last post in it. Mentions Sometimes you need a certain user to join a thread, or you simply want to share it someone. Now you can mention a user by using '@', similar to how Twitter handles. e.g @uNi will send a mention to me. Browser notifications You can now toggle browser notifications for GTAF for content you follow, it will display a small transparent pop-up, you can set your notification settings to display a sound with it or disable it completely. Followers You now can follow members to keep up to date with their content, if you prefer not to be followed you can set that in your profile. The new post editor Spending an hour building a post with BBCodes is old school fun, but also boring af. With new editor if you want to post a picture, you just paste the url in there and the editor takes care of the rest. Is the image too big? Resize in the editor! Stuff you can automatically embed in GTAFv4 by just pasting a link: - Images (Standard formats), Tweets, Youtube videos, Twitch streams, Reddit topics. Quoting Ever wanted to quote a bit of a post from someone, and had to edit the whole thing out? Not anymore, select the portion of the text of you wish to quote, a small pop-up will appear, click it and the quote is ready to go!
