EveryThing.  I'd also like to see working light swtches in every room.   People cry when you mess with the radio imagine the fun you could have with strobing lights.

I would be fine if I didn't have to enter in another gas station again.

-Hospitals (bring 'em back)

-Restaurants

-Gyms (although in V there was an outdoor one)

-Apartments/condos/houses

-Motels/hotels

-Rather than go into every tall building just see inside them with people working, etc. Sniper time!

-Car dealerships

-Police stations

-A library that has history of all GTA with past characters and events that could also be searchable on a computer.

-Freight/passenger train station with the option to operate the train

Now that sounds cool.

I don't think the library would work, since 1) most of the previous games are in a different universe altogether; 2) a lot of those events are shady under-the-radar happenings that other people shouldn't realistically be aware of; 3) even for those events that _are_ known to other people, a police database a-la GTA IV might be a better place.

A museum like in IV would do.

If set in the 80s or 90s I want arcade machines or ability to create your own arcade that you can invite players into.

Also would like a game store that lets you go in and buy fictional consoles and games for said consoles. The more little things like that the better for my enjoyment on days when I don't wanna do much.

Every building should be enterable.

Even if there aren't any things to interact with it should be there as a prop to add to the feeling that the world is alive.

Since the next GTA game will be on the PS5 I don't see why they couldn't update the engine and ass some truly next gen features like having all the npcs live their own lives and they could have jobs etc.

They gotta do something because I'm tired of exploring a world that feels lifeless and like a cardboard circus attraction.

How can they properly create thousands of interiors? It's impossible with the current tech and it's not worth it. Until they can randomly generate interiors this is too much work for little profit.

It wouldn't be that difficult if they're just static environments like the buildings and objects on the outside.

They could render those areas just as they do with the rest of the map.

High-rise buildings with areas of interest for the story and exploration (e.g. offices, apartments, restaurants, shops, tennis courts at the top of the building for the nice view while playing)

It's hard to come up with something that hasn't already been said, but all I want is a fully functional mall again and an actual airport terminal interior like Vice City

I'll personally keep my expectations realistic and hope for specific large interiors to be accessible. Malls, hospitals, museums, certain floors of skyscrapers, airports, all the "big" things. Some small enterable spaces would, of course, also be appreciated (or perhaps expected), similar to Saints Row 2's "Secret Areas". On the more expected side, I want to see restaurants and more store interiors to be available in GTA Next, as that still stands as one of the most bizarre regressions of GTA V from previous titles.

Seeing GTA V and Online's diversity in housing and properties does give me the sense that GTA Next won't be short on interiors, but I do hope the method is different from Online. No load times, just straight entry/exit. I don't expect them to go about fully modeling hundreds of interiors (especially unownable/uninteractive ones, because development time and computer resources do have limits), just enough so that there's a sense of depth and reality to the world. So you can wake up in your house, walk to your car, get breakfast at Burger Shot, drive to the tallest skyscraper in the city, then take the elevator to an observation deck and watch the sunrise. Maybe go shopping at the mall and get in a gunfight at a museum later, live the real GTA life.

A slightly Edited/Revisited take on this thread:

Any mission related interior(you hear that R*?)

Hotels/Motels:You can rent rooms and also see other people do the same. Also you can sneak to their rooms to see what they are upto...

Safehouses:Scattered with balance around the map around deserts, beaches, hills,...  and include sh*tty apartments, projects, Mansions, Penthouses, Condos,.... Perhaps a wooden one in the mountain/forest like Catalina?

Drug Dens

Auction House

Underground illegal Interiors

Barber Shops, Tatoo Parlors, Clothing Stores(with 5 variants or more-ZiP, Perseus, Suburban, Binco, Ds, victim,...).

Ammunation with Shooting range

Mod Shops for different vehicles including Planes, Helicopters, Bikes and cars.

Pay'n Spray for quick getaway.

Vehicle Dealerships that you can break into and steal cars.

Police Stations

Hospitals

Housing Projects with enterable rooms

Casinos

Airports

Nightclubs

Pawn Shops

Laundromat

Internet Cafe

Pubs/Bars

Strip Clubs

Fight Clubs/Gym

Cluckin Bell, Burger Shot, Diners, Restaurants, Cafés(like the SuperStar Cafe in IV), Food Carts, Well Stacked Pizza

Business Related Interiors

Shopping Malls

In short I want all public places to be open. I also want some interiors in the ghettos and basically some interiors to showcase the NPC life of each area in the map. But asking for all of them to be open is extreme. A couple of non public interiors in each street is good enough. A series of copy/pasted (with 10-15 variations) interiors for Burglary would be good. It would be nice to be able to enter all of our friends houses/workplace too for a change. R* design them for cutscenes so let us enter them anyway.

Police stations.

Hospitals.

A good few random houses. (not all of them since that wouldn't be possible.)

Every safe house

Malls

A significant amount of stores, such as Diamond stores.

Restaurants.

Let us re-visit mission interiors.

A big mall with the next interiors:

- A dinner with Burger Shot, Clucking Bell, Chihuahua Hotdogs etc.

- Tattoo studio  & barber.

- Clothing shops like Didier Sachs, Persues, SubUrban etc.

- Prolaps with sports outfits, parachutes, accessories that we can use as melee weapons such as bats, golf club etc.

- Electronic store, buy cellphones and accessories for our safe house like tvs.

- Cinema

- Arcade store with air hockey bowling.

“Go play outside! *shakes fist*”

-My mom when I was like 10

Yes, I’ve patiently waited for R* to make all buildings enterable, possibly by blasting through the front door, with interactables, a few secret corridors, safe cracking, and the like. It would be nice.

Anything, but the thing is, there should be a purpose, I don't think that making a ton of interiors just for the sake of it, just for the sake of going inside and nothing more is a good idea, need to have unique gameplay opportunities for it.

I would rather have a small map with many interiors and unique gameplay.

Any interior accessible in missions should be accessible when not on a mission. I kind of wanted to see more of the lifeinvader office, even if there wasn't really that much to see. I guess it makes sense that the secret lab was unavailable for travel after what you did to it, but there are so many interiors that are just locked off after one mission, which makes the game feel more like a collection of movie sets than an actual place.

It's been said already, but SHOPPING MALLS. Hell, there were malls in GTA V, it's just that they were inaccessible shell buildings that you couldn't actually go inside. No croq a hoop for you, no didier sachs for you, but by god will we put in a yoga minigame and make you do it once for "immersion".

I would also like at least one fully detailed skyscraper. Remember the last mission in saint's row 2 where you shot a guy out of the top floor of a skyscraper in a cutscene? Well, what if you could shoot someone out of a skyscraper NOT in a cutscene any time you damn well please? Come on, tell me that wouldn't be awesome. You just bust in on a board meeting and throw some guy out of a window because you can. Wouldn't that be fun?
