Rhoda
Older James Bond movies, no question. The later ones starring Daniel Craig are good, but you have to be somewhat invested because the story is now deeper than a dog's water bowl - this is more than can be said for some of the more vintage outings of 007. There's an arc involved which crosses multiple films, and unlike before, it's recommended you at least see Casino Royale before you see Quantum Of Solace. You don't have to, but it adds a certain weight and character motivation that ultimately renders it a better movie and a more consistent viewing experience. Now the older James Bond films are just a bit of fun. He goes off on a bit of a holiday, finds where some evil man or woman is living, ruins their day and ends things by shagging a woman on a life raft or in the back of a car, ignoring Q's best attempts at trying to derail his efforts. With many of them, you could stick the DVD on in the background, and you don't really feel shortchanged or confused if the doorbell rings and you don't pause it, or if you get up to get a drink from the kitchen. There's a reason they show them in the middle of the day on Sunday, usually when nobody has much better to do or they're crippled from having too much fun on a Saturday night. I also like The A-Team remake, and I'll argue it's one of my favourite films of all time for just this reason. It doesn't take itself so seriously and it's a genuinely good time. So what if it isn't realistic? I'm not interested, sometimes I just want to be entertained instead of lectured. MisFit-138
^^^Yeah, never got the hate for the A-team movie, it really caught the spirit and tone of the show and its characters. Agree on old Bond too (but can I please get a CraigBond 'Thunderball/Never say Never again') For me Man of Steel-can and will watch at any given moment. Loved it day one and it only gets better and better. Everything I always wanted from a Superman movie, but was convinced it would never happen because of the general audiences view of what happens in a comic book: nothing to be taken seriously and of zero intellectual value. Judging by the reactions, it was a valid assumption Kingsman: secret service-just a great fun action movie we with tons of wit and charm. Pee-wee's big adventure- one of the greatest comedies of all time, so much funnier when you're an adult. Airplane! - greatest. comedy. Ever. Lethal weapon 1 and 2- probably dont need to explain to anyone who has already seen them.
Creed Bratton
I watch older movies all the time. My favorite movies I watch at least once a year. It would take me ages to list them all, but as a general rule, a year doesn't go by that I don't watch the BTTF trilogy, Terminator 2, The Matrix, Pulp Fiction etc. As for TV shows, the only one that I have to watch once a year at least is Deadwood. I learn something new each time. I've seen other shows multiple times, like The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, LOST, True Detective Season 1, Band of Brothers, The Wire, Rick and Morty, older Star Trek series, Only Fools and Horses (probably the one I watched the most considering the fact that I grew up watching reruns all the time) etc. I almost forgot, I just started watching True Blood again. I forgot how entertaining this show was. It turned into a bit of a conscious parody of itself in later seasons, but the first few seasons are terrific. ThatBenGuy1998
I normally don’t screw around with preteen/young teen shows, but I actually really like Teen Titans Go! and its new movie. Those are also two movies that I seek out and don’t mind watching. The only reason people hate on that cartoon and movie is because they simply just don’t give them a chance. I honestly think the 2003-2006 Teen Titans is overrated.
Hmmm nice bike
Kitchen Nightmares. Specifically the original UK version, mainly due to the fact that the editing isn't godawful like the US version and the show is less "Extreme Makeover: Restaurant Edition" like ours was and more of an actual attempt at trying to teach people how to be better business owners and chefs. Everything feels more genuine in the UK version. This entire episode (which can be watched for free on YouTube here, along with many other UK Kitchen Nightmares) is f*cking hilarious, and this Tim guy is completely clueless. Stupidity like his didn't need to be scripted, and Gordon throwing up didn't need a million jumpcuts and dramatic music like what Fox decided to turn the show into. The only movie I'll seek out and make it a mission to watch is Home Alone 1 and 2 at Christmas time. Honestly one of my favourite parts of Christmas is watching those two movies. My favorite episode is Amy's Baking Company now that woman was f*cking clueless she couldn't see it was her and her husband that caused them to have no customers not the customers themselves. It was the only time Ramsey had ever walked out without helping the owners Hmmm nice bike
Hmmm nice bike
That was probably the only US episode that didn't need Fox's shifty editing to portray things as worse than they were (there was once an episode that pieced together a bunch of clips and audio to make it seem like a guy was leaving his family in the kitchen and driving away, but it was a plumber's car that drove off, the guy never left but Fox wanted to portray extra drama for whatever reason). Those two people were certifiably insane. Gordon didn't even go back when they did a "revisted" episode, and they were smart with the editing and included no music, no jumpcuts every second, just pure unedited madness. It felt like an episode of the UK version. Edited September 1, 2018 by Hmmm nice bike
Richard Power Colt
I usually don't have a habit of rewatching things nowadays unless it's something I really really love. Mad Max: Fury Road is one film that I love to just watch random scenes of occasionally when I'm bored. The action scenes never get old for me. Lonely-Martin
Oh loads of comfort viewing, though I do love new stuff and will try anything anytime I can. The Simpson's and Family Guy are awesome go-to gap fills and I love these shows, especially The Simpson's. Love sitcoms for this too. US or UK, so from The Big Bang/Brooklyn Nine Nine to Only Fools and Horses or The Vicar of Dibley. Comedy gold to me. On the Buses is a real guilty pleasure, but the Mrs hates it. Too early for her. (We have much in common but my liking for golden/classic TV and film is not one, lol. I go way back with my movies, way back - Seen Freaks or Nosferatu? She ain't or won't, lol). Movies though, too many to mention. Basically anything with Arnie, Stallone, Van Dam, old Segal flicks are just a blast, easy viewing. 80's and 90's action flicks all round really, Bad Boys, Con Air, that sort of thing. Comedies too like Friday or Barbershop, great fun. Life with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence is one of my favourites for just a simple giggle, seem to gel well there and the whole cast seems to be having so much fun there. I love my dramas but often catch an ep of The Sopranos, Band of Brothers or something equally engaging and just think 'Sod it, let's start over' Some awesome TV out there now. Quiz shows. Too often I'll pop on The Chase or even re-watch decades old Family Fortunes or Wheel of Fortune if just ambling about. Often leads me to learn something as if I hear a place name and am unsure where on the map it is, I'll look it up. Great times, and share thoughts with a post above... James Bond classics. Ahhh, bliss. Thanks for reading. Graven

Guest Billy Russo
Only Fools & Horses. I know pretty much every episode word-for-word. Yet I still enjoy watching it, and it still manages to make me laugh despite knowing the punchlines. That's true comedy.

Graven
Nothing will ever beat Married with Children for me. I watched it laughing out loud with buddies when it was aired, watched again later twice and still can watch an episode any time. The humor about average, middle-class family and their common life is timeless. Al Bundy is the god of miserable mediocre men, without forgetting the high point of his life. He scored 4 touchdowns in one game!!!! I can also return to Seinfeld, The King of Queens & Frasier. Movies are harder, especially now that I'm (re)collecting a bluray/4k/dvd library of the favorites having owned or seen in the golden 1980s era of VHS and Tube TV. Aliens stands out for some reason. Total Recall, Taxi Driver, Mad Max movies, Blade Runner. Just to name a couple of mainstream classics, these always seem to offer something. Rewatching Henenlotters Brain Damage right now. After 1000 titles or so I can list the bad B-movies I will watch again, and again, and again.... -l-
