play for fun. Ride around remembering the days you used to enjoy the game instead treating like a job, that's what I did for 8 minutes before starting up another game that treats me like an employee

Been down since last night for me on PS4. Not even sure how you guys are getting into Free Mode online. Wanted to finish off my Capture creation today, and thats not happening now.

No message saying "Saving failed" at least. Its hard to join peoples in public lobbies and hosting jobs, though joining peoples jobs from Quick Jobs works fine.

For me it doesn't really matter if i could actually get online. With 4 businesses filled i would be royally pi***d if i were to sell them and it wouldn't save. I know that history probably doesn't back me up here but i actually have some hope that rockstar really do something to apologize. Even if it's just giving us one extra day with double pay.

In fairness to R* since Xmas their standard giveaways are pretty good. I’ve had quite a lot free gta over the past few months. I think they’ll be decent about this situation. I’m guessing a give away as a weekly login like they did last week or some sort of discount across all of gta stuff. Something that makes you think you’re getting a deal but still keeps you spending and logging in.

Can load into online in free mode and that's almost all. This is approaching 36 hours now, and that means IT IS THEIR BIGGEST FAIL SINCE SUMMER 16 server-wise. Well effing done, Houser-frat bros. Why do you need a legitimate businessman who knows what he's doing when you can steal his money and do it yourself instead? Of course, they have no idea what they're doing now and we all see it. 2 massive servers dumps in 2 years for a game like this, that reach ALL platforms, is going to sink the company, just watch. Executives will be fired for this, it will permanently cost them hundreds of thousands of players and tens of millions of dollars. This is the final nail in the coffin unless they pull about 60 rabbits out of a hat in the next day or two, launch a mass apology campaign and give everyone 3 million bucks. They are f***ked. Good luck, Chuck.

I was just able to load into a friend session and my friend was able to join me to complete one of my objectives. However can not load a race or access the crew emblem on my phone or MC clubhouse. Didn't try a public session, but there are definitely still some issues to work out.

They should give everybody 1.5-3 Million after they fixed the servers to compensate the losses. Selling Weed, Counterfeit and Documents without double bonus barely gives me any profit because i bought all the supplies. Once the servers are fixed im gonna sell it all and shut down Weed, Counterfeit and Documents again, and only keep Meth and Coke active.

 

Really annoying i would have reached the 160 Million milestone yesterday.

The Social Club is far from working regardless of their UP status. All 20 crew emblems that I've made with the emblem editor across 2 social club accounts have vanished into thin air... that's like 40+ hours down the drain if they don't come back.

 

EDIT: Now says Social Club is LIMITED but all my emblems are back

I'm curious as to what the cause would be. I assume they don't do their own cloud stuff, but buy it from a vendor.

 

DDOS for sure, but you'd think we'd have heard about that by now.

 

If there's some sort of catastrophic drive failure or data corruption issue, rollback from a known good state probably takes forever for a massive DB like theirs, but 24 hours is a long f*cking time.

 

Maybe there was an intrusion and it had been altering data for a significant period of time, and they're doing data forensics to try and figure out what was changed and when? If it is something like that though, I'm pretty sure they're required by law to disclose it.

Wow... 2 days without online. I am a loyal player like the rest of you, and I use my Playstation Plus pretty much for GTAO. Gimme a break. Server issues. It happens to the best of them. Yeah it sucks for me, it sucks for you, but please give R* a break... I mean come on. Really... Let's suppose... Any real life event could have happened to you that prevented you from playing GTA online for 2 days, and you would've been in the same situation. I'm not trying to be rude about it but come on. You know this is arguably one of the best games of all time, if not the best. I think I can let them get away with having a few days of downtime. Thank you R* for giving us an awesome game.

I managed to sell Coke then i tried selling Meth and got the Post Op Vans had to rejoin. It took me an half hour to get back into a session and then in the middle of the Meth sale my game crashed.

 

Of course i can't verify my game files now because i can't login anymore great. Now my gamefiles are corrupted and there is no way to repair them.
