I need some help with DFF Models/Coordinates

Recommended Posts

Max96

Hey there, I have added Rusty Brown's Food to other restaurants since it is possible to do via shopping.dat but there is a problem: Rusty Brown's Food Trays are misplaced in seller's hands, it looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/Sq5Q5Hj.jpg

I have been checking out other food trays models and noticed that their models are reversed a bit in default position, for example Burger Shot Tray (default position): https://i.imgur.com/YrdEqPi.png

And here is Rusty Brown's Food Tray (default position): https://i.imgur.com/Bk3PQ7D.png

More comparison: https://i.imgur.com/EJ2kmeM.png

So I think since other trays are reversed, they are placed correctly in seller's hands and Rusty's trays are not reversed and placed incorrectly or it's matter of their coordinates? Is it possible to fix Rusty's trays position somehow by editing DFF models default position or editing coordinates?

Hello, yes, you can indeed fix that editing its axis or the 3D model itself; you can do it with Zmodeler or 3DS Max. Using Burger Shot's 3D model as a base, you can then rotate Rusty's 3D model to match Burger Shot's 3D model & axis position.

Well, I don't know how to work with models, do you know someone?

I can do it for you, provided I receive dff + txd's (and optionally; colisions, but be aware I am using 2 different scripts for exporting col/dff, so if collision is needed, it will have different offsets than the dff.)

I know how to work with 3D models, send me the files (.dff & .txd of both food) via PM and I will fix them. If I need anything else I will let you know.

For three/four trays DFF models one txd file is used, the only problem is I dunno from which side trays should be reversed, if you wanna test trays ingame, follow this topic how to add Rusty's food to other restaurants: http://gtaforums.com/topic/203600-rusty-browns-donuts/

I do not know why you do Double Post, in any case, here I replied.

I was reviewing, and the truth is, I think that must be fixed through the Code, where the food goes.
I arranged the food in the same coordinates, but even so I did not succeed. (I even put the tray in flat coordinates, but I did not succeed either)

Try these: Link

I have not tested them as I'm working on my own building mod, so you're going to have to try, and let me know if they're not done right.

Don't forget to mark his post as the answer to your topic to finish this thread. Do the same in your duplicated post, since is the same.
