How rare is the American version of GTA in the big box for PC?

Just picked one up today that's 100% complete. I bought it for like $20, and I haven't seen an American copy in ages on eBay, and the last time I saw an American big box copy on eBay, I think the final bidding price was around $147. Is what I got good or naw?

For some reason there's been this big boom in prices on audio/visual collectible items in the last few years. I'd pay $147 if money was not an issue in my life, but under no other circumstances. I've deliberately burned myself a few times for rare stuff, and it hurts, but at the end of the day the sale prices on Discogs and eBay don't truly reflect what the item is worth; that's up to you to decide. In this case, I think $20 is a bargain. $30-40 is what I'd pay. More than $40 is going to cause some buyer's remorse unless I was fanatical.

Think it's the first edition, I got the front box here but I'll post more pics when I'm back from school.

You hit jackpot. Over here in EU, there were only 2 listings for it during the course of whole 2017 and both got sold for over 170GBP, which is like 230USD.

My copy actually stands out as the 2nd or 3rd tallest in my collection.

I don't know the USA editions well, but on the box which I showed earlier the subtitle was "Original and uncensored" so I think that is the real first edition.

Because the British version and the American version have different dates and everything in the directories I've noticed.

That's very strange, my box, disc, etc. looks the exact same as that poster's.
