What are some good "under the radar" shows?

Erased

They can be ended/canceled. Just looking for something new to watch. I'm mostly into drama's/procedurals/serial shows. I don't really care for comedies/animated shows so.

Orphan Black. It got critical acclaim (and ran for the full intended 5 seasons, so enough people must've watched it), but I rarely saw it mentioned by tv afficiandos.

Some current shows that I like are Taboo, Babylon Berlin, Casa De Papel (don't think the last 2 qualify as "under the radar" since they are new and on Netflix, but as they are Spanish/German productions, I suspect they don't get that much attention)

- Hell on Wheels?

Quarry is about a Vietnam veteran who is offered a job as a hitman by a mysterious man called The Broker. It was cancelled after one series but it's worth a watch imo.

iZombie is one of my favourite shows on TV right now but unfortunately next season will be it's last. Better Call Saul is another great show and now is the perfect time to start watching it should be back in a couple of months.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a comedy but one everyone should watch. Probably the best comedy ever made.

Just started watching Patrick Melrose, its friggin hilarious, very very black comedy with an amazing actor....warning this is a review of the first episode, it gets very dark indeed after that, you need guts of steel, but so fabulously beautiful are the sets and film making that it is unmissable...

Some lesser watched shows I've enjoyed recently -  On the creepier side, try Channel Zero. For excellent grindhouse campy action, try Blood Drive. For a criminally underrated dramedy set in the 80s, try Red Oaks. For tons of gratuitous action, try Banshee. Justified is excellent, too. Not really under the radar but I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a well written series with great characters. Bosch is a great series with a neo-noir vibe about an LA detective. Patriot is a quirky and surprisingly entertaining series about a US intelligence agent. Definitely worth watching.

Doctor Holliday

Nobody in the US ever seems to talk about Peaky Blinders but it's one of the best British imports on the market.

It's about the veterans of World War 1 who started the infamous street gangs of London.

Algonquin Assassin

If you like Psycho/Bates Motel I recommend this.

Strike Back, after the first series with Armitage and Lincoln, was a great show.  Winchester and Stapleton had amazing chemistry, and the action was grin inducing.

Speaking of Cinemax, Banshee is probably one of the best action dramas I’ve ever seen.  Both shows had more action than all the action movies of the last decade.  But Banshee’s fights were the best I’ve seen on TV.

Apparently they did a new season of Strike Back without Winchester and Stapleton.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Strike Back. Banshee too. Banshee to this day has my all-time favorite most brutal fight i've ever seen in a movie/show period. You know what i'm talking about...Burton VS Nola. Have you checked out the reboot of Strike Back? If not you should. Minor spoiler

Spoiler

Winchester & Stapleton appear in the finale for this latest reboot in the season finale I believe. I haven't had time to finish but I got spoiled and found out online

Banshee  shows that sex+crime always works.

Dark Matter is a decent Sci-Fi show.

Absolutely loved Dark Matter too. I've been Boycotting Syfy ever since they cancelled it. It's up there as one of the best sci-fi shows in the ranks of BSG in my opinion anyway.

Ozark - A Netflix Original.

This show is about a family financial planner that happens to be very good at his job being seduced into laundering money for a powerful Mexican cartel. The show is unfairly compared to Breaking Bad. It does have certain similarities but for me the production value/cinematography is much better than BB. The characters and their development, to me, is richer and more rewarding. There's some nice, clever storylines, morally ambiguous characters, beautiful backdrop scenery and some excellent dialogue.  I think it's a criminally underrated show. Season 2 starts next month. Give it 2 episodes and see if you like it.

If you like crime-thrillers, it's a must.
