"1 on 1 at the beach" Why is this a thing?

Bringing an Incendiary Heavy Sniper to a 1v1 feels so awesome thanks to its 1 shot capability without BST. The only thing question is how fast can a tryhard pullout their explosives to kill themselves before the fire roasts them? Hilarious as hell to watch them panic and burn to oblivion upon impact.

People get so salty about the Marksman rifle these days. I wonder how would they react to it in 2015, when everyone was using it.

The problem with the marksman rifle is the sidestepping. Many people (on PC) use macros to sidestep at the speed of Usain Bolt with a sticky bomb on their feet. Reduce the first person scoped in speed to third person scoped in speed and the whole problem stops.

Whenever I see an attacker use the marksman rifle and the rpg exclusivly I just get out my khanjali and blow them up before they can blow themself up, until they go passive.

I had a offer yesterday from a player i was picking off bit by bit he got a bit angry after 10-0 and sent a message ''com beach now get out of tank pussy''

I kindly let him know ''pussy boy i dont want to build sand castle with you'' :D. He gave me a 9k bounty and left lol

Wouldn't they blow up their stickies by accident while being in flames?

That would be hilarious if it happens.

Incendiary rounds for heavy are one shotters? Wow, nice to know

Yeah, I think a Heavy Sniper incendiary shot is a 100% ignition chance.

I love the messages you get off the tryhards when you explosive snipe their Deluxos, after they have tried to rocket and ram you with them.

I love the messages you get when you take down a tryhard in a Deluxo with your "outdated" Oppressor.

Why is it a thing, you ask? Because some people think this is CoD. And remember: You're always the noob evne if you went full 12-0 on them but didn't play their way.

Usually I let them know how bloody hard I'm cackling at their requests... And spawn rape them with an Avenger, of course.

The only problem with that is how you lose your only immediate and effective counter against a jet pilot.

I do beach 1v1s all the time, lol. They can be fun as long as it isn't scummy, like bst spam, mid-fight ewo, and marksman spam.

People 1 vs 1 on beach then couple seconds later I orbital cannon them. Also beach is stupid place to practice sniping, your not going to be fighting other players solely on the beach.

Can we talk about this more?

One shot? One shot to set them on fire? Not one shot to kill them, right?

One shot to any player without BST. The hit will do normal Heavy sniper damage, the fire does the rest.

One shot to set them on fire and that kills them, so it is a one shot kill.

^Correct, it's a super effective way of dealing with suiciders. As Pedinhuh has said however, you do lose out on your explosive rounds for quick anti-air purposes.

However, NPCs are not dying from one incendiary shot, bummer.

That's what the Heavy Revolver Mk2 with incendiary rounds is for.

Sometimes takes 2 to 3 shots to die. 1 shot doesn't always set them on fire. Was using them last night.

I used to take them on all the time, died a lot and then I got good. Nothing pisses off a wiggle sniper more than beating them at their own game. Use telephone poles, slim trees or other similar objects and wiggle left and right in first person erratically without pattern and watch them hit the mic screaming after you drop them over and over. Practice, you will die a lot but eventually the roles get reversed.

The players who invite you to the beach are the ones who have spent all their time learning the marksman shuffle. They only have the one trick and can't fight anywhere else. It's the most boring 1v1 that you could possibly have anyway so I'd never accept an invite to go there.

Completely and utterly false. I invite people to 1v1s all the time and I despise the marksman. It's a stupidly overpowered weapon while in first person and is completely unrealistic. People like us also don't just fight at beach, most also do dogfights with aircraft like the pyro and starling. Don't be an overgeneralizing idiot.

How can it be utterly false? I'm talking about 1v1 at the beach. That's exactly how it is all the time. And if you are saying you don't fight that way when you're not at the beach then that's not fighting at the beach, is it.

Yeah that's pretty far from the truth. Hydras and Lazers are the ones tryhard 1v1'ers use most of the time.

Just the other day I was in a Rogue dogfight with 2 other guys at the beach, it actually does happen often if you look for it.

^Of course it can happen, but the point is that it very rarely ever happens that way. The majority of planes used by 1v1ers are those Death Beam Jets.

I use MKII Revolver with Incendiary rounds and Its really fun, they definitely die in one shot including NPC with more health, sometimes they run while burning lol, and few seconds later they die.

They ask for a 1 v 1 at the beach because they just got their ass kicked and they want a chance at revenge in their comfort zone. I get challenged all the time to 1 v 1s in their favourite places and according to their rules. Nobody ever plays me in my comfort zones so I don't often bother accepting. But if I do accept, they either chicken out or find out they die before they get a chance to blow themselves up and then they chicken out and start with the hate mail. Tryhards, or "gimps", are just noobs with a thin shell of suicide to protect them. The players that annoy me are what I call the "runners". Those types have very high KDs and specialise in getting sneaky kills and then running away, either by suicide, passive, teleport or ghost, at the first sign of danger. Those guys will often sit on their yacht for 45 mins if you put a bounty on them. Sad.
