Why buy a yacht? To be able to play Piracy Prevention 30K or with Double Event 60K. 48 Minutes Cooldown (One ingame day).

Armored Boxville is more useful playing Fortified and getting 35K or with Double Event 70K. Yeah it's nice. Cooldown 30 Minutes.

 

The best is to start one of those VIP Missions and then go steal a tuned Sentinel XS at night or a Sandking XL during the day. Selling one of those plus one of these Missions is worth it for 10 minutes.

If you do buy one, get the 2nd tier one. It has a better layout than the high-end yacht (easier front-to-back access) and nearly as good of amenities. I actually bought the most expensive yacht originally and traded it in for the 2nd level one later, that's how strongly I feel that the layout is superior.

That always used to be the best advice (and is why I originally bought the mid-tier yacht), but the top tier one does have one really big advantage now: you can park the Avenger on the rear helipad (once you've moved or destroyed the SuperVolito). With the mid-tier yacht you can't land the Avenger on the rear helipad (it doesn't fit). Whether that's a big deal is up to you, but for me it's a pretty invaluable feature.

If you start piracy prevention you could become minced meat for a savage, I griefed people like this by going off radar and then just circle the yacht spawn killing the poor individual, but it is cool to own one anyway if you have the money, I own the middle class one wich I dont know why its better...

It is a complete waste of money.

 

When I bought it, I had completed criminal mastermind. Being a fashionable type of player, it was a way of "retiring" you could say. I completed the "hardest" thing in the game, and I would sit back and relax with a couple of million left over to spend on clothes.

 

I don't regret it wholeheartedly, but if I knew what was coming after I would have saved it. Always save with the notion that there is better content coming later. It'll save you from buying bullsh*t when better stuff comes out.

 

That and you have to pay $25,000 each time to move your yacht to your original spot when it decides it wants to move by itself and never back in place.

I'd say if you already have everything you need/want in the game and you're sitting on over 20 million and you want a yacht, go for it . They do go on sale periodically but 50% off will be hard to beat.

Buy or not to buy - your own choice. A sale is a great opportunity to own it. Personally, I bought it because I prefer such lifestyle + jacuzzi, awesome place for the crew meets and snaps + something different from what I have (properties) + 2 helipads

 

Privacy Prevention pays 30k for 10 minutes + cooldown. You think it's worth it?

It shouldn't move position unless you enter a session where it's position is already occupied by another yacht

if you enter the lower interior right after you walk up the stairs to middle "lobby" where couches are sit on them and TV will be watched opposite middle section wall

I just bought the 3.5 million yacht yesterday and it has a TV to go AFK and a living quarter's to spawn in. Im not even rich I saved up for a few days and got it and I think it's worth it. I now prefer privacy prevention over fortified but it only can be run once every 60 minutes.

So far I'm loving it. Started up PP and no takers. 30k in 10 minutes works for me. Great way to start off a session.

The main reason is because it's cool, it has multiple bedrooms loaded with goodies, because It's got a great view. And it's awesome when you see it our there. I can see my yacht from Lombank so that's pretty cool. Of all the stuff I have purchased the yacht gets more use than my apartments, my Savage, Akula, ultralight, pretty much anything but my Buzzard and my Deluxo. It's just cool to have.

Piracy Prevention. A calm place at sea to relax and have defenses that protect you. You can always go for a swim. Free boats and a helicopter. Being able to party with your friends and drink in a wonderfully luxurious setting is always nice.

Over time if you use it the yacht will become profitable and a valuable asset, its also very good for sniper practice

Yes, while in the interior of the yacht, open interaction menu, Yacht services, invite player to yacht

 

Stripper will show up to your yacht and dance in the bar

 

When you leave session, the yacht will change it's name to "true" or "false" and will disappear the next time no one is looking at it, if you want to strand players at sea you have to move the Yacht for $25000

And even better, I can see the salt if I move it with players on it.
