So I was doing the Phantom wedge sale mission and someone in a a Desert Raid of all things knocked my trailer off. I couldn't keep killing him AND reattach the trailer because he was spamming rockets at it so I left.

And then I got THAT insurgent sale mission. And I got a new variant of it at the docks and highway, and because of the AIs driving none of them could seem to find me. It actually hurt my head to have to chase them down while they screamed sh*t like "YOU f*ckING PUSSY!". As a final f*ck you the last drop was out in the open and the helis spawned kiled me a few times. 20 minutes later (I checked) I make 230k

That is the worst one I've done by far but they're all bad. I watch this guy called "The Professional" (he's great you should check him out) and he said "I don't recommend doing this one". It's not like I have a choice so I assumed he meant leave the lobby? But my fear is that if I do that, what if I come back and it's the same mission again? And again? My last 5 sale missions before this one has been the Phantom wedge so I don't think it's unheard of for it to happen.

What is the popular opinion?

One way to make the Phantom Wedge sale slightly easier is to hop in an Akula in stealth mode when your wanted level shows up. Your 3 stars will revert to 2 stars, which will remove police choppers and reduce overall police numbers during the sale. This is assuming of course that you DON'T shoot cops during the sale.

As for people interrupting your sale, I can't really recommend anything besides using the MOC cab to tank a lot of explosives to help increase survivability. God it must suck when there's people messing with the trailer in general. I hate having to reconnect that sh*t.

For the MerryWeather Insurgent sale, hooking up an Anti-Aircraft Trailer will let you one shot enemy Insurgents at the drop offs. You can also use your CEO Buzzard to go chase people if you don't feel like using your Insurgent to travel long distance targets so you can avoid the unnecessary driving.

For those pesky enemy Buzzards, I just stay in the Insurgent and shoot the pilots out. FMJ Heavy Revolver is really effective too, only 4 shots will blow up most NPC choppers.

You can take a couple of steps to avoid people f*cking with you during a sale.

1) Use Ghost Organization, the profits you get from a Gun running sale are big enough for you to spend extra 12k in this feature and get some offradar advantage, don't be afraid to use it if you think it's necessary.

2) Scan the map before starting the sale, you see any jets in the sky? Don't start the sale.

Anyone near your bunker? Don't start the sale.

Anyone using Ghost Organization? Don't start the sale.

Anyone inside their facility? Don't start the sale(the orbital cannon one-shots you and destroys your cargo).

Anyone looking for a PvP fight with you? Don't start the sale.

I prefer to do a VIP work that attracts players, like Executive Search or Piracy Prevention so I can see the behavior of the players in the session and then figure out if it's a safe session.

Some tips for the Phantom Wedge and Merryweather sale:

-Ditch the Phantom Wedge, use your MOC truck cab instead as it can survive more explosions. Call Lester to get rid of the cops, it's not worth the trouble of dealing them and other players just to save $600.

-For the Merriweather sale, it's a gamble, and there's not much you can do about the NPCs going off and you having to chase them down, since I will come on the radar again I just chase them down with the sale Insurgent and shoot them from inside the car, and then get going with the sale.

The AA trailer is good advice, but I should let you know that one single shot of the flak cannons is enough to destroy your Insurgent.

I bought the aa trailer just for the insurgent mission but it's not worth it. First, you have to detach it before dropping off the guns or it gets stuck. Two, you spend too much time getting it in position and having to reattach it after each stop. I just use the gun in the insurgent for the first 4 stops and call in my tank for the last. I've heard some people call in the armored limo via ceo menu which sounds like a good idea as well. Best advice is to mtu yourself to a solo session

Idk why I didn't think of just calling my opressor that would have saved so much time, I'll definitely keep that in mind

If you're just selling $175,000 and you get the 'Merryweather is going to mess with you' mission, you can just switch sessions and you'll just lose $7000 when you come back to go at it again.

I usually just go on another VIP mission to earn a bit more money while the stock build back to $175,000, then try to sell it again.

It's much easier than dealing with a tough sell option.

So far I haven't had the same sell mission come up in this manner, though I've had the same twice in a row a few times.

The Phantom wedge mission is one of the easier as well as the single insurgent drop off. Just try not to hit too many vehicles with the wedge and shoot the cops at roadblocks, since they can blow up the wedge if you take a bunch of damage, then you're in a pickle.

The dune buggy or monster truck (bouncy castle) missions can be very nerve racking or not too bad depending on how the drop points are spaced out.

As for other players messing with your sale, there's not much you can do except hope they're too busy with their own missions to bother.

Or look for a quieter lobby. Or join a crew that helps each other sell.

My advice is to find a solo lobby, the Xbox method is easy

Pretty much everything kcole4001 above said is what I would tell you only I'd say just ram the cops in the PWedge. But I own The farmhouse bunker, so most of the drop off locations for that mission are already close by.

As to the Solo lobby suggestions, that is an option and I used to do them exclusively. But I've had a taste of the full lobby thrill and bonus cash now, so I actively try to find sessions with at least 20 other players to do solo sales that result in $300,000+ payouts.

I may see some douche canoe try and take me out once every couple sales. If they succeed I change sessions or close the game before I lose my product. This past Monday was really odd in that I had to restart my sales mission 3 times in a row due to the asshattery of other players. But the way I look at it, even after restarting the mission 3 times, the $30K bonus more than made up for $21k in product lost.

I play solo and usually use port blocking, but quite often there are other players there too.

They generally are just happy to ignore each other but sometimes they want to mess with you.

To me that's just wasting everyone's time, much better spent making money than preventing someone else making money.

Don't bother with ghost org or anything like that in public lobbies

Just get solo lobbies (very easy with nat method on xbox)

some gun running missions are sh*t but that you'll have to deal with

if you're in the paleto bay bunker you might want to consider moving closer to the city for convenience

If you have one, swap the provided Phantom Wedge with a Phantom Custom from your MOC - it's way more resistant to explosives, still pushes most vehicles out of the way, and won't destroy itself from hitting other vehicles.

Somehow I never thought of doing that... with the flak cannons equipped, that's a really good idea

I get the Merryweather Insurgent mission the most, the Dune FAV second. Only rarely do I get the Phantom Wedge or the simple Insurgent one delivery mission. It's not worth it for me to jump sessions to avoid the Insurgent Merryweather as it's a PITA to get a solo public lobby again (PS4). I just get to the delivery spot, hop out and take over the guns and blast away. If I get into a spot where Merryweather units get stuck when spawning I'll just summon my CEO Buzzard and go after them than waste time waiting for them to attack me. There's one drop-off point at the oil derricks, I'll simply place proximity mines in the three spots of approach for Merryweather and it handles half of my adversaries.

It works wonders but just be very careful of friendly fire, those cannons are so powerful even accidental splash damage can blow up your Insurgent and cost you hundreds of thousands... I learned this for myself the hard way :(

As for me, I do my Bunker sales in a Public Solo session almost every time so I just proceed with every sales method thrown at me by Agent 14 except for Merryweather Interception sale. That is the only kind of sale that I often ditch by changing session or immediately closing the game.

The ones I like the most are one drop Insurgent and Phantom Wedge sales because they are easier to do compared to others.

Marshall and Buggy sales are quite challenging due to their stupid handling and checkpoint locations.

Again, Merryweather Interception sale for me is a big no. The only time I can tolerate that kind of sale is when I only have one Insurgent to deliver.

Run Fast, or Faster.

$175000 for the sure shot.

$350000 if ya feelings lucky

Full warehouse, keep dumping session until 2 semi load.

There are many different ways to approach it, but my preferred method is the solo full bunker sale method. There's an entire thread on it here:

http://gtaforums.com/topic/907712-bunker-sales-solo-full-stock/

It's really simple, and relies on two things:

* You need to sell in a solo session. On PS4 that's really simple via the MTU trick, and I believe there are tricks for the other platforms too.

* If you quit a sell mission because you don't want to do it (i.e. you get the wrong delivery vehicles), you only take a very small hit to your stock levels if you leave and then come back to try again.

Just read that thread though. It's simple, it's basically an AFK method, and you make a heap of money. During the double money event on bunker sales I made $15 million in one week.

On the Insurgent sale mission, DO NOT leave the Insurgent. Just shoot the enemies from inside it; move around and find those who run away or hide in alleys. The choppers are annoying with their machine guns, but they don't move that much so you can shoot at the pilot easily. Before you get to the 5th one (the one that kicks you out of the truck), call for an Armored Kuruma if you have one and get rid of the last enemies. Haven't tried this with my Buzzard, but should check if it spawns.

It's inevitable getting this selling mission at random occasions. Just pray that Agent 14 says "We're all business today" when you leave the bunker. There's no opposition on that selling mission and there's only one delivery site.

Most importantly, try to sell on an empty public lobby to avoid griefers.

I'm at the point where if I get 5 merry weather stops which can take up to 20 mins .....I switch sessions solo public or not ......my next is usually phantom wedge ... I'll sacrifice the 7k (10k for ls) to free up 15 mins of bs and chasing down lost merryweather clowns

I do all the sales and don't find any of them to be that hard. The worst is probably the Insurgent with multiple stops - takes a while no matter what, and the NPCs sometimes won't come after you but instead just drive around. This seems to happen the most in full lobbies, so keep that in mind; it definitely seems like the AI is most prone to f*ck up when there are a lot of players around. In empty-ish sessions, I have no trouble with this. Note: use the Insurgent turret and snack/armor up between drops.

Second worst is the Dune one, because the NPCs will sometimes spawn right in front of you and crash into you, in which case you're probably gonna die. Also, the drops can be very annoyingly spread all over creation - not always, but this happens occasionally.

The good ones are the monster truck (usually the drops are in remote locations away from players, and all clustered near each other), the single-drop Insurgent, and the Phantom Wedge. All pretty easy. I just fire up ghost org if I have even the slightest indication someone is going to come after me. With the Phantom Wedge I stay on highways as much as possible - wide roads with gradual turns are easiest to navigate, and players are very often not on the highways, and may not be able to get to them quickly, if they want to mess with you.

All valid and solid advice here apart from the the most useful, so I'll share: join a friendly, sale-dedicated crew. Not only you will sell with 100% success rate unless you want it to be lower, but you will make new friends and save ton of time and maintain your sanity while making more money! Selling in a packed friendly session will net you up to 25% high demand bonus. Faster, without risks and with more money it's a no brainer. Stop wasting your time on lone-wolfing the thing and inventing the wheel!

When it comes to any of these sell missions for any business I find that it either goes really good or really bad. Always have some greifer/npc money put to the side. By that I mean if you buy supplies, sell a high end car right before you sell stock. That way if your sh*t gets blown to hell its like you break even at least. Don't be afraid to close app or to use ghost org CEO/VIP can cover the cost of lost stock and ghost org. And dont just depend on business as a main sorce of income. Check out The Professional on YouTube he has the best money making methods out there. I made 47mill in 13 days.

What do you do about randoms who join the session, particularly if they arrive in a glut (as often seems to happen in GTAO)?

If a glut joins it depends on the sell mission and where you're at with it . Always remember you can open pause -- online -- find new session . For those times a jet is lining your sale up for a death beam strafe. Also remember Homing rockets don't work on gun sales .... so a hell pilot oppressor or flying hamburger would have to manually aim rockets at you .
