Loving the double Contact missions. Had a great few hours yesterday after taking advantage of double Doomsday Act 2 finale for the little time it lasted.

Unfortunately I've got to do some actual work over the next few days so I've made a playlist of Cops Capacity and Denial of Service, easy 40k ish and around 6500rp in 10 mins every chance I get.

Take back what I said about the sales!

I thought the sea chopper was on sale! BOO! BOO I SAY!

It's WAY too expensive and useless for me to pay full price for if some f*ck can shoot it down easily

Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well  I was planning on getting the Sea Sparrow right off the bat, but I saw the price and thought "nahh, I'll wait till this goes on sale." Edited by SideStunt

A bit of clarity for those waiting (looking) for the RDR related weapons here is a quote from R* Newswire.

And if you're looking forward to Red Dead Redemption 2 after this past week's trailer and previews, and have yet to unearth the Double-Action Revolver in GTA Online, make sure to check the inbox on your in-game iFruit for the first clue to unlocking this antique in both GTA Online and Red Dead Redemption 2. Look for another lost relic from the frontier to be unearthed in Los Santos later this year.

Currently the clues are for the revolver. New clues for a second weapon will not be available until later in the year. The next treasure hunt will be part of a later DLC, not the current one. Saying that if you haven't the revolver yet you may have little time to get it. It is worth it for the $250k npc 50 headshot challenge.

Reward = ((((Player_Multiplier * 20) * (300 + Rank)) * Difficulty) * Time_Multiplier)

2 Players = 1.1

3 Players = 1.2

4 Players = 1.3

Rank play a role in the payout.

File under "too good to be true" :D

You're referring to the "unlocked at" rank, I get it now.

Also to give R* some positive reinforcement, I love getting tired of Stunt Races and flipping to Contact Missions. Not to mention 100k for logging on, their most generous giveaway since the character swapping bonus...12/10 would engage again.

I set up a Playlist of Blowup ii, Rockford and Roll, and blowup. You can set both blowups with sticky bombs and then drive to the dealership and park. Then detonate after 8-15 minutes for various pay levels. It's almost passive, all are next to each other and it spawns you right next to the objective.

So what's the best contact missions to earn the most money?

Trash Talk in a Buzzard etc. is going to be the most optimal, but it's probably going to be more fun to mix it up.

In the past I would tend to load up trash talk, and then afterwards just pick whichever mission was most appealing from the post-mission menu. Whenever there was nothing worth choosing, I'd go back to freemode and start another Trash talk.

While you can take your time, safe in the knowledge the money will keep rising 'til 16 mins, it's actually more effective to aim from about 5-8 mins per mission, as although the payout does rise over time, it effectively rises by less the longer you take. If you did 3-4 missions in 30 mins, it'd pay moderately more than doing 2 missions in 30 mins.

Hooooooooweverrr..... If you just want to boot up missions and do something else while the timer ticks away so you're not actually having to play a whole lot, then you might as well just keep starting Trash talk, destroy the mobile trucks, then park on a roof and do something else for 10+ mins, then come back and finish it, and repeat.

I love the old-school Contact Missions.

Reading the comments in this thread made me realise how sick the loyal player base is of the sh*t-show called freemode. People want to enjoy GTA online and the company of other players instead of being forced into firefights with the nearest random player. If yo don't instigate a fight, someone else will instigate it for you.

Last night I played Contact Missions to my heart's content. Sold the contents of my 'passive income' bunker, did a few other things, and then bought the Dominator GTX + upgrades, and still had slightly more money than before. Plus the extra log-in and daily bonuses on top of that. Not bad :) .

So, quick question about the additional daily login of $150k...is it added automatically or is it banked like the $250k is?

It will all be added up and deposited to your account a week or so later.

Double money on contact missions is good, but I just did a test and found I can make as much money in a friend's only lobby doing Headhunter followed by sightseer. In an hour I think I made about 10K more with the contact missions. So it's not a huge advantage.

I did purchase the Lago Zancudo Facility and the Avenger to sit and gather dust in it. Probably will never go back to it but now for a while I won't get annoying phone calls and emails.

You're probably right, but not everyone knows the way to get an empty lobby, while the contact missions are more recognized and in my opinion more fun.

May as well get a 60 car office garage with this 30 percent discount, not that I'd even fill a 1/4 of that.

I'd argue that the old-style contact missions are more true to the heart of the GTA experience than even the single-player heists.

As in, you're not limited to heavily-scripted linearity, and instead can tackle broad objectives with whatever you fancy. Want to rescue an NPC by storming the area like a one-man army? Go for it! Want to drive all the way there in a tank and just blow everyone to smithereens from a distance? Same. Or maybe skip combat altogether, land next to your target in a chopper, pick them up, and fly them to safety.

And yeah, there's also the unavoidable fundamental when it comes to GTA: it's long been a single-player series first and foremost, and while GTAO is a huge success in many ways, that doesn't stop it from being built on mechanics designed for PvE (because all single-player games are PvE, obviously!). Small wonder why that side of things is still so satisfying for many, and it's a shame R* doesn't develop the 'classic GTA' side of GTAO more.

I'm seriously pissed. What the f*ck, man! I've been on GTA:O since day 1, through the ups and downs and this is how it repays my hundred of hours?! I feel shafted.

Woo-hoo moved the office to Lombank West and switched to the male secretary. Loving that view and quick commute to the Vespucci Beach clubhouse. Goodbye stupid girl secretary! So sick of that voice.
