Target13 Posted August 25, 2018 Share Posted August 25, 2018 The Fall of Michael has the potential to be a classic story driven mission-pack in the new generation of DYOM projects. Unfortunately, this isn't the case. Or at least not yet. The translation from the MP's native language to English is one plagued with mistakes, making the player very confused at times. It's as if the translation was done completely by Google Translate. Further, the short three mission prologue could have fit in one large mission but for some reason, the designer decided against it. There are also some gameplay inconveniences like invisible markers, a lack of ammo and unclear objectives. If The Fall of Michael is to be a beautiful story never seen before in DYOM (according to DC99's words) then it will first need to fix it's plethora of flaws. When the italian version will be released after quite a November-December. The english version has been done 5%. The Fall of Michael as of now has three missions that could be easily emerge as one since the three missions aren't that long. The dialogue that is used came as funny (in my opinion) since It's very obvious that the author is using google translator and is not very effective at times. I don't mind the characters using swears but when It's overused it can be unfavourable. The gameplay can be a little confusing at times because there are invisible checkpoints causing the player to get lost while playing. But I can point out that the cutscenes are well made and the author made a good job placing the angles. I'll give you a more large review when more missions are released. The prologue is very bad, but the others missions are in collaboration with VikingEVM. Translator of english version. Me, is the italian version on this Mission Pack. Then i am italian DYOM designer. The beta is will come out a few days or next week. The complete pack will be released in the middle December. 61-62 Missions in this mission pack. The Fall Of Michael is the biggest of VfV, V for Vinegar has 56 missions and TFOM has 61-62 missions to play with the Soundtrack. Thanks for reply and I know. Take your time, it doesn't matter which mission pack has more missions, it's the quality what matters.
