When in passive mode can you still be killed while driving a vehicle?

Does passive mode only make you invincible while on foot or in a car as well? Also, do your car appear translucent to other GTAO players and can they get in your car if you're in passive mode?

Mr Spanky

You can be killed my the cops or npc vehicles whilat in passive mode

If you are in a vehicle in passive, the vehicle appears in passive too

Other players, not in passive, can get in your vehicle with you, if you have the settings as everyone or passengers

Other players can still kill you in passive, by bailing from a vehicle just before it reaches you, due to the vehicle becoming an npc vehicle once the player has bailed

If you're on ps4 xbox1 or pc, it works in car too. Yes, you will appear semi visible to other players, just as all players will appear semi visible to you. They can still enter your car if you allow them to.

I think they can't be killed if they aren't in passive whilst in your car. But that is if you are driving. If they are driving car and you are Passive passenger, they will die (car will blow up also if applicable) and you won't. Iirc

I suspect that collateral damage will also apply to passive vehicles.

For example: a player rockets a bus, it slams into an NPC vehicle while exploding, thus causing the second vehicle to explode. If you're next to the exploding NPC vehicle you may take damage as well, as it's not a direct result of the initial attack.

I could be wrong, I haven't actually tested this, but it works like that when not in passive, so I suspect you still take damage normally if it's not inflicted by another player.

If I follow you correctly, I think not. The game remembers the root cause of explosions.

Ages ago, I think I remember reading that if a passive player is killed by a non-passive player (presumably through splash damage as mentioned above), the non-passive player would "have to pay the hospital bills of the passive player".

But that might be: a) an old gen thing. b) me being confused. I don't think it's a thing these days anyway.

I certainly remember on old gen killing someone in Passive gives you bad sport points. I think it was removed on Current gen, not sure why. Come to think of it though, most people killed in Passive are the tryhards, so probably for the best.
