Sadie can be seen with her hair down in a recently released screenshot, I believe it's under the "Towns" feature tab on the Rockstar website. As for the hair, it's still blonde in that shot. Not quite sure where you see any redness

I love the line in that launch trailer she had. No idea if its directed at Arthur or who, but I love how fierce she is and does not seem scared of anyone or anything. Not taking sh*t from nobody. We can really have such a badass character on our hands.

Asking cuz some of the stuff written in these threads is a little weird and uhm.. Well I don’t think I can write the second word.

All good, I just find this new trend to be over the top, as there are plenty strong female characters out there, especially recently.

And I think we should also celebrate awesome male characters..

What are you on about? These "appreciation threads" are very ill-concealed thirsty-for-attractive-video-game-females threads - maybe not started with that intent but that always ends up being 75% of the posts. There's nothing leftist or "sjw" about that, just good old-fashioned hormones. And if you're looking for appreciation for Arthur or John, that is like half of the other threads. The game is still about a man and his gang of 95% dudes... I think we can safely acknowledge the one woman without all of us growing vaginas.

 

Plus this idea that gamers lean left... hoo boy. Maybe the gaming press does but actual gamers, my experience indicates that's not true at all. At best it follows general population trends and if anything I think younger gamers lean further right than the larger demographic.

I am not on about anything buddy, just asking questions.

 

As I wrote, yes the thread is half idiotic hormonal teenage posts, but the intent of the start of the thread is very different, and to me yes, it reeks of agenda. I don’t mind aknowledging women at all, heck some of my favourite characters are female. but in this day and age, all I hear is, female this female that, not enough females here, not enough there, and it’s about time a female was in this or that game, movie, series - Even tho most media is soaked in females, most media is female oriented, and now the mostly male oriented is also getting female oriented (this does not incl. Rdr, so keep the panties untwisted).

 

I have seen more than just this one thread over the last year.

 

It was a simple question, that I personally feel you are overreacting a little to, we all have different values we measure after, and different interpretations of stuff, and I have found that yes, most gaming journos are leftist.

 

It was a bad choice to say gamers, you are right, as we are not all left leaning at all, but going by media, and forums, you would think so - I have unsubscribed to alot of other forums over the past 2 years exactly due to this, hence me asking what I thought was a very simple question, possibly very naive of me, as nothing is ever simple when it comes to sociopolitical questions.

 

Let’s continue this over a pm if you wish, so we do not further contaminate this thread, I am always open for a level headed discussion, and I am always open to concede, if I was a bit to quick to pull the sjw trigger.

 

And just for good measure, I find the hormonal immature posts about boobs and stuff just as dumb and just as cringy as pc agendas.

Take this political sh*t elsewhere please. This is a board for a game, and this is a thread about a character in that game, which makes it perfectly suited for here. Your approval of the supposed "agenda" is not required, and that whole subject will only lead to bickering, mass post deletion, and worse. It's off topic and just as importantly, tired as hell. A lot of people really don't care about the eternal war between right and left wing, we just want to play a cool cowboy game.

Thats your experience from your geographical place. Where I’m from young people are mostly all left wing.

This is all off topic, I'd prefer to just drop it.  If you want to discuss whether gamers are right or left wing, or both or neither, that needs its own thread on a different board.  I will say though that my experience is not at all geographical - 98% of my gamer friends are people I met through games or over the internet, and most of my real-life friends aren't serious gamers, with only a few exceptions. Out of my gamer friends, most live in other states, and probably a third don't even live in the US.

I wouldn't want to imagine if Sadie were a 40-ish fat suffragette woman. The bloody tears.... 

 

But she's a young, cute girl. Do you think white-straight-male gamers were totally forgotten when they created Sadie's character? Because I strongly doubt that. She's easy to our eyes, that's for sure. Does someone feel kind of disturbed because a woman character is not going to be a passive, backseat only character? Better check that out before it's too late, I guess.

 

The only agenda I see here is R* putting a strong female character in case that helps the game to reach the female gamer community to some degree, thus generating more revenue, without going far away from the classic western environment. Too much to win with little to no risk.  

 

Fun fact: they left Sadie out of the 7 character art cover (all males). Thing becomes obvious when you look at that 4 vs 4 steelbook artwork, where Sadie is included. Some radical feminist can see that as another episode of genre discrimination. Turns out R* can receive beef from that flank instead of the opposite, ironically......
