I'm not sure I'm getting you. The Hunter was the part of the DLC with release date for the DLC, but when it dropped there was no Hunter to buy. I knew it was there, it was advertised in the trailer with a release date! Honestly, not a single vehicle was advertised with a separate release unlock date. It's one thing we're talking about locked vehicles that we don't know of, but this is different. And I have absolutely lost you about glitching and Hunter situation. The thing was advertised, implemented and usable in source mission. Don't take it personally, I'm just genuinely annoyed by dripfeeding and honestly lost your point.

Clearly you didn't read the post I was replying to.

At least they don't have a Patreon. Can you just imagine the reward tiers?

$1
-You get a thank you from Rockstar.

$5
-You get a thank you from Rockstar.
-A new baseball cap in the game. Must be bought using in-game currency.

$10
-Previous reward tiers plus a unique shirt with a cat's face on it. Must also be bought.

$15
-Previous reward tiers plus your name in the credits as a thank you. Will be at the end of our 14 minute credit roll.

$20
-Previous reward tiers plus your face on a hobo.

$50
-Previous reward tiers but your hobo now has a cardboard box to live in.

$100
-Previous reward tiers and one Shark Card worth $1,000,000 in-game currency.\

$200
-Previous reward tiers as well as including a full-paid trip to our offices in New York to reenact The Benz getting escorted out of our building. Footage of your escort not included in your pledge.

I mean, it's kind of expected. GTA:O won't go full stride years after especially since RDR2 is slowly being pushed into the limelight. I wouldn't be surprised to see 80% of its focus shift from GTA:O to RDR:O (or whatever they call it). RDR2 will surely reach a GTA:O point of milking. Since they have their business model it could get there faster than GTA V did. I honestly don't mind dripfeeding as it's sort of "free" content. You can get all of it without putting a dollar towards the game but man is the grind real. Hopefully RDR2 will have some early glitches so that I can live off that. Glitch myself 22 horses to sell later or something. I think it's pretty impressive that they're making so much money after 4 full years after the game's release. Not only that but across a platform generation change. That's pretty neat how they keep the numbers up.

Sure, I'd love a non-dripfeed game but I know that's unrealistic now as Rockstar got the taste of it. It would be stupid for them to do actual work when they can do minimal work and rehash stuff. They're not even the worst dev, EA holds that title and they're still in business. If you checked Reddit there was this huge "Let's not pre-order Battlefront 2!!!" yet it sold well. We're idiots that never learn.

And that's where your logic is faulty.

Your exact words were "You can get all of it without putting a dollar towards the game but man is the grind real. "

Ok, the grind is real. I might not spend money, but I am spending a lot of my time. I am a Highschool student working a part-time job, I play GTA on my spare time. I am actually better off working that job and spending money on shark cards because in the end, I would get my GTA money and have money left over in real life. When I work shifts, I work multiple. I am there at the crack of dawn and stay there until the night. I am actually wasting more time legitimately grinding for cash in this game. It's not free. It's your time or your money. Period. Rockstar will always win either way. They design the game like that. Make no mistake, R* is not stupid. all the game companies do this.

The house always wins. This is no exception.

They will always get back something they lost from you.

"We're idiots that never learn."

Yup, because they play us like were puppets on strings.

When 36 new vehicles are released at once, my options are either sell a bunch of stuff, buy Shark cards, or spend my whole life doing retarded repetitive fetch missions.

Or you could do what you currently do:

Dripfeed allows me to casually grind for an hour or two a night so I can afford one new half million dollar car every week.

Removing the dripfeed would not stop you from cassually grinding 1-2 hours a night and buying cars when you can afford them.

You could still enjoy the content at your own pace. The only thing that would be diffrent, would be that you can choose what car you buy first from all the ones that become avilable with the dlc.

to all the people that hate it altogether in the poll, would you rather go back to months of radio silence and no new content with a few event weekâendsâ? remember when they did that, remember when they were just event weekends, not even full weeks, and not every week either...

I'm just curious, cos if we didn't have the dripfeed altogether that's how it would be...

There is no "nothing". There is a game.

Dripfeeding is poison.

Checking back in to a game once a week to see if there's a new vehicle to purchase is not a good way to promote playing the game to me.

And to say people aren't aware of this is not factual. I get the R* emails. I'm aware of the pattern.

What's the difference, other than a lack of patience, in having one update every month that gives us four, five, six cars and a new game mode and having one update every three or four months that drip feeds up cars and game modes weekly or fortnightly?

I haven't fully checked this but I'd hazard a guess that the content in E&OC, FAFF, Bikers, GR, SR, or any other update with drip-feed had more content for the three-four months it was drip fed than previous monthly updates over the same period of time gave us...

IGG1 gave us like 4 cars, a heli and a plane. IGG2 a month later gave us 4 cars, a bike and a boat, Freemode update 6 or 8 weeks later gave us no new vehicles. That's 12 vehicles over 4 months. How much content did Bikers, I/E, GR, SR, DDH, SSA etc. bring us that was dripfed over 3-4 months.

-snip-

I wouldn't call it faulty but rather what your stance on grind is. I legitimately enjoyed grinding CEO crates when it came out and that was time well spent. Honestly, grinding CEO crates and getting that full warehouse was tons of fun. Now it's just absurd, for sure, but I'm positive there's people who are grained hard into the grinding that they play it as a routine. If it wasn't for GTA:O grinding I probably wouldn't have watched so much Netflix. Start a movie and just do my routine.

House( r ) always win, that's no debate there. I can't wait for RDR2 grinding as I'm getting real tired of San Andreas' map. Thing is RDR2 won't have flying horses so it's going to be a much slower grind. Ugh...

Then waitings another 144hrs for another helpings.

Advice, try taking a break. On one, Now. Another week or two and bang around the forums. Helps the drip.

How many of you have short memories. Remove your rose tinted glass and look before the drip feeds. Both the quality of updates, and the time in between, sucked.

I think they do Drip Feed (honestly i don't know why you guys call that, for me it's just weekly content) as a way to make people to keep playing the game, if everything was launched straight away on day one, people would buy everything, get bored and then the player count would be lowered, however, with weekly content, people are motivated to play and make money every week expecting the new content to arrive in the next one.

If they didn't stretch the drip-feed until just before the next update, I wouldn't mind it so much. If they have to continue the drip-feed, I'd rather they not skip any weeks at all. I think what they did in the last couple of weeks where they accidently released the rest of the cars, took them back, and then went two weeks without releasing any new vehicles at all is completely laughable.

I hate drip feeding, I don't see the point in it because for many the hype starts to fade a couple days after the initial release and by the end of that week most people don't care anymore. If they drip fed over the course of a week, I could get onboard with that. I like event weeks so having them weekly wouldn't frustrate me if that meant we could get double cash and xp, discounts on MORE vehicles and save for the next dlc which may not even come out for 4 months. ALL of the vehicles from the most recent update are trash, R* can drip-feed every single one of them but I have no hype for any of it because I know they're all sh*t. I haven't been motivated to play recently tbh, Five M looks move promising but I don't have PC so I can't be bothered to play as much anyway.

I really don't get understand why people still argue about drip feeding, it's here to stay, has been for more than two years and doesn't look like it's ever gonna stop. This topic has been talked about to death.

If the content wasn't poorly-made superficial sh*t, then people wouldn't get bored so quickly. It's quite telling how older content (Heists, Contact Missions), and older DLC (CEO work, crates (kinda), biker businesses, import/export) are still popular several years after launch.

People can't wait. And wish everything at the moment. That's the issue.

Personally, I'm against only silent event weeks for months with sales. I prefer to know that R* got prepared the additional content for all 3 months until next update. They shared the timetable and I like it. They give us everything leisurely.

Since Doomsday came out I haven't looked at any of the hidden drip feed content until the day each one actually drops. It makes it much much more bearable. Whether you like drip feeding or not, it will be a much more pleasurable experience if you stop looking.

If they split the updates into monthly like they used to be we wouldn't have to wait 3 months to get critical bugs fixed.. that's about the only difference :)

This is a filler update that has been stretched way too far.

I don't even care anymore.

Each time I log on to try a bit of newly added content, I run into issues. Long loading times, infinite clouds etc. the game feels like it's just bloated at this point. It's struggling to work. performance is stable, no issue with framerates. It's the online portion of the game. It's barely holding together.

Plus with R* constantly pulling this dripfeeding sh*t I stopped playing. I might come back on again if there/s 2x on I/E but... meh. I've played old heists to death. every contact mission, almost all businesses... I'm burned out. And whenever I do come back, it hits me how I cannot get sh*t done without either friends or just hiding in a firewall protected session because of the intermittent 'mod menu' issues where they can drain your money or drain your RP or set your rank to 8000 or f*cking remotely kill you through your screen...

It's just too much. I have to constantly cover my ass from cheaters and mod menu f*cks, glitching assholes and that's without even accounting for the fact that I need to be passive mode 24/7 because even stopping to enter an AM through the Jobs menu usually gives some f*cking rank 50 motherf*cking a$$h4t f*ck off with the censorship enough time to roll up to me and unload an entire clip to kill me. Enough is enough.

Also on an unrelated note: R* f*cked up with the current update's cars. sh*tty handling flags, insanely low quality models... f*cking Lancer Evo sound in a Toyota Supra...
