Types of people you can’t stand

People who make and break promises over and over. Especially if they get angry when called out on it. If you can't do the thing someone asks you to do, don't say you're going to do it. Stop acting invested. Stop playing with people's trust.

People who justify breaking other people' sh*t by saying "Well, they can just buy another one".

People who firstly ask your age and gender on internet. tbh there is almost nothing that i can’t stand but these people are retards.

People who start arguments by misinterpreting what you said, usually over some very petty stuff. Bonus points if you weren't even speaking to them in the first place + if they get abusive and start saying things that aren't even connected to what you were talking about for a reason only they know

People giving me sh*t cigarettes in return for the good ones I handed them the other night.

f*ck off, I only smoke light, additive free cowboy killers

I've found the Transport Enthusiast community to be full of these kinds of people. Take the words out of your mouth (or post really) and then jump to conclusions. I'm questioning why I'm still part of the community but then I remember it's a hobby of mine and one of the few known discussion boards in my country and I like socialising with others who share a similar hobby / interest to me.

I said once that I'd like to see the operator who runs the local bus company around here order buses from other companies besides Volvo (because they make up a majority of the fleet) and while I said I had no complaints with Volvo buses but would like to see other makes in the fleet to spice things up, these people take the words out of your mouths. couple of posts later someones saying "Well B7R ain't going to be happy with that". I literally had to come back in and tell them to stop jumping to conclusions and re-tell them I HAD NO COMPLAINTS with VOLVO buses but that it wouldn't hurt to see the company order other makes... seesh.

Sometimes you make small observations that are interesting to you but may not be to to others then you go online and post SAID OBSERVATION and their like "So?" or "what's special about that?". Bugger off, it's an observation and I'm not 100% aware of every last thing either just because I consider myself an enthusiast.  I've had a few countless arguments that make me question what these kinds of people are like in real life. Some of them have industry experience which is good but then they think that their god and everyone else is wrong unless you've worked in the Transport sector.

Also I remember a while back I caught a bus that was running sluggish one morning (gearbox problems) which I reported to the operator not long after I got off it, I later came on said discussion board and posted it as an observation and detailed why I reported it, people were like "reporting it to the operator was overkill because it changes nothing". I was face-palming. While yes it changes nothing, they shouldn't be allowed to run a bus out in poor shape and then expect nothing to be said about it. Again these kinds of posts come from so called people who've had knowledge & history in the Transport sector. I don't get why you wouldn't report a badly running bus even if nothing can be done about it. Props to me because while the mechanics back at base will know more than what I ever will, I was able to give the operator a rundown of what the problem is so they could get straight to it. They probably never expected to hear from a member of the public straight up tell them what's wrong with the bus exactly.

Sorry for the detailed post.

...

Sorry for the detailed post.

I was at school with a guy who was a bus enthusiast. At the slightest flicker of interest shown by anyone he'd pull out a wad of photographs of buses. Buses here, buses there, buses everywhere.

No need to apologize, everyone needs a hobby.

lol, gotta admit I am one of those ass hats. When I took the bus to high school (especially in the morning), I would leave my bag on the seat and pretend I was sleeping, because I wasn't comfortable sitting next to someone I didn't know too well.

I mean, people would only have to stand up for a 10-12 minute ride, but I did feel bad about it though.

Special members who come into discussions and jump to conclusions (you already know how much I hate people jumping to conclusions) saying your the reason for this & that and that I'm a toxic person when for starters they don't even know me and this was all over a minor suggestion about how a feature in a game could be redesigned or how it should've been from the start.

Our trains in my region run as DMU's ( diesel multiple unit) that only consist of two DMU's. Of a weekday these trains can get filled up pretty fast and the commute into town takes a good 45 minutes give or take. In the carriage the seat layout is like this

2704Interior.jpg

<<< .... >> (arrows representing seating setup) the seats can be changed from front facing seats to rear facing seats & vice versa. What sh*ts me is that some special entitled cases will hog the the 3 seat chair setup across from them and won't interchange the seat leading to reduced seating. That or their friend is setting across from them in the other interchangeable 3-set seat.  You know how packed the trains are, how about interchanging the seat your on so someone doesn't have to stand for almost an hours commute. Sometimes it's always the younger people doing this thing.

People that sell items and state that it's in 'good condition' when it's obviously scuffed and not in good condition at all. So scummy. Be honest, it goes a long way in this world.

Ooh, another!

Low-ballers on any given item that's actually, legitimately good condition and well taken care of.

Facebook Marketplace is bad for that. I've sold a few things before, and I ALWAYS get a couple that haggle and try to get me to lower the price.

Haggling is expected. But yeah, those guys that really give ridiculously low offers, or low-ballers as Benny puts them. It's just a waste of time for everyone.

I don't mind polite people that have a conversation first and then ask if they can have £10 off or whatever. It's not a big deal to me.

It's those guys that jump right in and are wanting it for like £25-30 less than I put it up for. They must think I'm stupid.

People who act like life is a contest.

Technically it is, sometimes. When you go to an interview you are competing against everyone else for the position. I think secretly everyone has a bit of jealousy in them about what others have. Not going to lie, when I see people with crazy gaming set-ups I get jealous as hell. But in a good way. Just like "Man, look how much hard work they put in to their set-up, I want that."

People who get bent out of shape if you don't answer them back within five minutes.

People who disregard my "Please don't join my parties without an invitation" statement on my profile and just barge right in. Even worse when said inconsiderate joiner doesn't even know anyone else in said party and runs their mouth.

I've only had those problems with PlayStation friends, never real life ones.

I should by extension add, PlayStation friends who can't understand why I don't consider them to be on the same level  as real life friends despite it being plain and simple: they're voices behind pixels not people I can actually see, meet, touch or do things beyond playing a game with.

People who almost always end their sentences with "..." instead of a just full stop. That's a great way of coming off as an airheaded ditz, you know.

It's okay if your post only has one sentence, but if it has about five or six sentences and EVERY SENTENCE ends with an ellipsis you are an IDIOT!

-People who use death as an attention seeking device. I don't mean if your mother or father died and you post it up on Facebook, but people who expect others to give them sympathy just because someone close to them died. We've all been there before. It's hard to lose someone close to you, but it's life. We move on. It's disrespectful to the deceased to use their death as some kind of beneficial opportunity.

-I think I'm just getting older, but I can't stand most high school kids. I catch a train everyday so usually they're on there. They piss me off. Always yelling, screaming, swearing etc. Ah just shut the f*ck up. I mean it's only been 17 years or so since I finished high school, but I feel like an old bastard already wanting to be like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino telling them to get off my lawn at the end of a shotgun.

This sh*t right here. I know a couple of girls that has this weekly/monthly tendency on social media, where they will post a picture of their (parents/grandparents) gravestone and remind everyone how much they miss them etc., even years after they passed away.

I think it is alright to write a tribute about a deceased loved one on social media shortly after their death to honor their life and memory, inform people about the upcoming funeral etc., but otherwise, I would prefer myself and others to keep grieving a private, personal matter.

People who make death hoaxes about another person whom they have a petty grudge against. Seriously, words cannot even describe how rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate it is! I wish to no longer talk about it because it literally makes me want to puke blood.

I’ve only been out of high school for two years, and just like SonOfLiberty, I already can’t stand high school students either! They swear, yell, scream, act all rowdy, and are even perhaps a bit TOO hip. Middle school and elementary school aged students are really no better. In THEIR case, I’m like “Uh, where are your parents and do they even know you’re using foul language and acting out like that?” School aged kids in general these days, whether they’re elementary, middle, or high school, just don’t seem to know when to shut the f*ck up!
