DLC Elimination Game

Welcome to the DLC Elimination Game

 

 

The object of this is to pick a winner from the different updates in GTA Online

 

 

The Rules:

● You add one point (+1) to your favorite DLC and subtract two points (-2) which you can split (-1) (-1) for your least favorite(s).

● It isn't allowed to add and subtract from the same DLC in one vote.

● You're only responsible for changing the score to reflect your vote, not the person before you.

● You can vote once per day (every 24 hours). You can do it after 21 hours minimum, but if it becomes a habit it will not be allowed.

● When we are down to the last three, you need to vote after 24 hours. Voting earlier than 24 hours is no longer an option at this point.

● Copy and paste the list from the last person before you. This helps out everyone to see what the scores are and we can prevent disinformation from spreading through the game.

● Do not use multiple accounts, this is not allowed and action will be taken if you are found to be doing this.

● Only vote in these games if you have been a forum member for two weeks at least. If the person above you hasn't been a member for at least two weeks, then you should ignore their vote.

● If the person before you votes wrong (not forgetting to write the correct scores, but doesn't vote as the first rule implies), you shall ignore that vote.

● If you are new to this game do as the regulars do. If you disagree; they are right, and you are wrong. Accept that or leave this thread.

● Please show what you voted for in your post, as a example:

● When quoting someone, remove the score from your post (if applicable).

● Avoid adding remarks about the choice you are voting for or against within the "Scoring Rows". Place it below your vote, as this will make it easier for the next person to vote.

● If you have already posted a vote you cannot change that vote and pick something else. Once it's published it's final.

● Opinions outside of the vote are allowed, but this should be done within reason.

● Cheating, manipulating scores and other deceptive attempts to derail the game is not allowed.

● Should you decide to disregard these rules and take matters into your own hands, you may face consequences from the Moderators.

● Trolling or antagonistic behavior will not be tolerated.

● If you think the list needs work or to be changed please make a suggestion, just don't take it upon yourself to change it.

I agree with the above, I will never forgive R* for the Gunrunning update. The worst update in my eyes.

 

E&OC on the other hand was a fantastic update. I loved everything about it, from the new features like VIP Work and the high end apartments to the amazing cars like the Schafter V12 and Mamba.

I upvoted DDH for a new batch of heists and one of my fav cars (Viseris), and downvoted SSASSS for ruining my Viseris and all the cars included with missing textures, scaling issues, and the ultra lame "Advanced Flags" garbage.

​with one DLC, they changed so much and so did my gaming. Because of this one change, so much negative came after it. Game changing, and franchise killing for me. I stayed because I was rich and didn't need these businesses to pay or for fun, because of these business changes, research, grief, and grinding are the way to go.

As much as I hate SSASSS, Gunrunning, Freemode Events, Smuggler's Run, and as small most of the 2013-2015 updates is, it's only logical to remove two points from DH, since instead of being a successor to good old Heists, it represents the exact opposite of it. It's frustrating, artificially difficult at times, infested with freeroam garbage, and painfully long and boring, not mentioning you can't even use your heavy utility vest during its missions. Absolute disappointment to me, and that's the reason I voted against it. Because I actually had expectations towards it. When Gunrunning was announced, for example, I immediately knew I'm not at all interested in it. DH actually made me interested at first, 'til I played it and realied how awful it is.

SSASSS is not a garbage per se, but it's the update from 2014 of 2015 released in 2018, which buries it. R* could have got away with update like that in 2015, but not now. Looking at the beginning of the list, this update feels like High Life or Business update in terms of depth. But even then we actually managed to get quality vehicles. Anything about this update could have been improved. Not only new overpriced cars are broken and underpowered, but the dripfeeding is really killing this update because actual fun vehicles are being delayed for weeks. IE is the best active, lone-wolf friendly money maker.

In defense of Gunrunning, Bunker is go-to thing to boost your cash for 1 mil profit every week (I'm talking about buying supplies and high demand bonus) which is definitely enough to pay for all the research in the update. Research is crap, hands down, won't debate it. But seriously, it's been almost a year and to break even you need to get 15 mil back which equals to 3 months of average gameplay (10 hours per week) and we had several 2x events on the Bunker.

Had to look it up, but it was Further Adventures in Finance and Felony which added the crates, Executives and Other Criminals was yacht and VIP work update. I looked it up because that was when it all changed, they added the forced public session business model that they then copied over and over. I am PvEer, co-op missions suit me and Invite Only sessions to get away from public laggy killing sessions that don't interest me at all.

Upvoting Heists as they really made me who I am in GTA World, a rich b*tch.

Heists - because .. well ..it's The Heists Update and it's also the only March DLC that's not a filler but a massive DLC.

Lowriders: Custom Classics - dripfeed content that should have been part of the original Lowriders update

 

Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series is exactly the same as the Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit, it even has more content than that one, if anything, this one has some of the requested cars, the only downside is the broken handling, Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit's dripfeed ended at the very beginning of April if I'm not mistaken, then we had April and May with nothing released, although I must say, we had 2x cash and rp on contact missions and heists during the waiting time between Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit and Gunrunning which was the best thing to ever happen to this game in a long while, but I guess that's a different topic.

Gunrunning deserves the shade it gets but the content was more diverse than just planes and helis. Smuggler's Run had a laser focus on the aerial community and it would've been better if they blessed other areas of the GTA community too. I remember multiple weeks where something new came into the dripfeed and all I felt was "meh" or "better luck next week". The update before this and after this didn't drain my enjoyment to the degree Smugglers Run did. I can't forget that sensation, especially coming in between such spikes in activity with Gunrunning and Doomsday. Oh and the clothes from this update sucked too. Other updates at least brought new styles into play.

 

Import/Export gets a +1 because it was one of the few DLCs that lived up to GTAs potential. Grand Theft Auto is the name of the game and it was awesome to see new freeroam missions, businesses, and garages dedicated to this purpose. Very interactive but also fun solo and this time instead of just destroying the car you could steal it for yourself! This is peak Rockstar and it's unfortunate they haven't gone back to this style of gameplay. One doesn't have to be some super agent, international spy to make GTA fun. And that soundtrack

Gotta go with the OG Heists. Huge DLC. Brought new achievements, Daily Objectives, and of course the new Heist missions. Still the most fun I've had with GTA Online was my 1st CMM run, and completing it.

 

Freemode Events sucked. Not only did it add to an already cluster that is Free Roam, but that update also took away the fun events like Simeon's Car, Lester's Distract Cops, Ron's Planes, etc.

INAH +, An update that gave us a nice range of unique cars that weren't all Supers or Sports. Added new races and also fixed the no money trolls that would destroy your vehicles and make you pay for them.

 

Gunrunning -2, While it did turn into an excellent source of income, that research grind and multiple paywalls are really unforgivable.

A nothing update really.
