Update: Mission 18 uploaded. Play the missions, have fun and don't forget to leave a feedback.

Mission 18 was pretty straightforward, so I was able to make it quickly. Now there's a big chance the last two missions will be out today, way later today. I'll upload them both at the same time and after that, I'll upload a ZIP/RAR file with all the missions in it. Stay tuned for the big finale, guys. :)

UPDATE: 18th and 20th mission uploaded. A ZIP/RAR file with all the missions in it is also uploaded, you can find the link at the top of the mission list as usual. Play the missions, have fun and don't forget to leave a feedback afterwards, guys. :)

And with that, this mission pack is finished. I hope you like it :) I wanted to make this for quite a while and I'm glad I finally did it. What now? I really don't know. In the past, whenever I said I was finished with DYOM, I ended up returning one way or the other. This time, I won't say anything and see what happens. I'm glad many people decided to play this mission pack because, usually, sequels aren't as followed as stand-alone mission packs since sequels obligate you to play one or more mission packs before them to be able to understand its story. And for that reason, I'm very happy and grateful. It was great to be back once again. Stay cool, guys.

Jimmy, you're a genius. And I was "ZekoFullGames" that commented on your reply. The end scene, Adams survived and he's going on Liberty City? Huh, what a prick. But he's leaving San Andreas finally. Ryan and Tyler will live in peace :p

And, I loved Ryan fighting with Connor, it was a freaking comedy that I laughed to death :p If I would, I would rate it 200/5 on DYOM website, :p Of course 5/5 for Jimmy! :D

Don't click the spoiler unless you played the chapter 3 (Last chapter).

nooooooo not another ambigious ending God damn it

does this mean yet another sequel will be in the works? cause knowing your 'obsession' with getting GTA Underground devs to work on DYOM compatibility and the fact that Adams is going to Liberty City, which is coincidentally one of the locations in that mod, I wouldn't rule this possibility out

guess it's on par with its predecessor, although a bit worse in my opinion. good work regardless Jimmy, you've finished a great project yet again and I hope we see more from you in the not-so-distant future

Thank you very much on the feedback, man. Yeah, sequels are almost never on par with the original, but I wanted to tell the story anyway cause even though it's much shorter, I knew it couldn't be better than the original, but still... I'm happy about the way it turned out. Glad you liked it nevertheless :)

I am surprised you feel this is ambiguous since it actually isn't. Well, story-wise it's not. Adams' ultimate plan failed, the base got blown up, so the whole microchipping technology blew up with it. Only if you consider a possibility of another sequel in the end to be ambiguous, then I can understand :D However, if you look at this mission pack singled out, there is nothing ambiguous about it except the question - what will Adams do next? There were two main things that I wanted to show with the story, two main differences if you will, compared to the original - 1. In the end of the original, Ryan and Tyler were enemies. In the end of this one, they got closure, they're friends. 2. In the end of the original, Ryan and Tyler knew Adams survived while Adams didn't know they survived. In the end of this one, Adams knows Ryan and Tyler survived, but Ryan and Tyler don't know Adams did also - making the ending of this mission pack far more dangerous and important for both reasons. :)

Also, you're right... somewhat. GTA: Underground will be finished in a few years, if that. Ultimately, yes, if it were to happen, the third part of this would be set in Liberty City, but that's never gonna happen unless UG gets finished in like a year tops and if I even decide to come back. There's also the fact that DYOM community isn't really ''gun-ho'' about switching to GTA: UG. The reception of it would be very small, I'm sure, despite what the poll says in the official topic I opened up a while ago. So, there's not really any point in making it. We'll see what future brings though.

Played the mission pack from start to finish and I have to say I was pretty impressed. I played your previous mission packs and I have to say that this MP is one of your best ones. Keep up!

In the end of season 1, Ryan pointed the gun at Tyler but untl he said that Tyler kill his cousin or brother, the screen cut offf to black. So I was counting that there must be another season and I wonder where is this mission based on?

This is the continuation of the original, yes. It's not based on anything :)

One long ass weekend that was, but it's finally done :D

I'll keep this rather brief because I'm planning on being Sweep Squad back-to-back with this, but a couple of things:

Spoiler

First of all, amazing work as per standard! Always been your number one virtue how consistent the storyline stays over a long period of time. No plotholes, no nothing; that's a Jimmy Leppard guarantee. Most often it's the case with your MPs but I thought this plot was specifically unique - I don't think I've seen the threat of microchipping being used in DYOM, bravo.

The relationship between Tyler and Ryan was very natural, and although it developed fast from hatred to deep friendship, it seemed very organic. All around, the cast was very good and had their place in the story. DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE CHARACTER OF CONNOR. Pure badass. Mahone's this cool, calm and collected fella, and then this other fella comes in, throws one liners at him and throws him off a roof. Hotdamn.  Although a bitch for sawing up Dan  Frank Adams was one hell of a villain, and that ending... That's some heavy cutscene emotion! Very nicely done. His apparent survival makes me wonder though, why'd ya leave him alive? :sly:

Few things bugged me, but did nonetheless; I thought some cutscene placement wasn't your best work - I thought some of the angles were a slightly repetitive and broke the illusion of 'existance'. Film terms but I think you know your way around :colgate: Just felt like maybe you were in a rush at certain points?

As we know, your missions tend to be lesser on the gameplay side but that's always been the thing with you and it's great. This time, I felt the gameplay was maybe even too challenging, however - not really otherwise, but the time limits. TIME LIMITS EVERYWHERE. I failed a few missions because of the dumbest reasons; for example, in the drive-by mission the dudes crashed to some houses yard and Tyler just kept driving away. I was like, the hell am I supposed to do bruh :D

Altogether, great work. Not my favorite work of yours, but overall a very good mission pack that I had no problem playing in (almost) one sit in one day. Moving on to the next one... ;)

Hey, better late than never :colgate: Thanks for playing through this. I'm very glad you liked it in the end because it was very fun for me to work on this and I also wanted it to be a worthy continuation of the original.

It feels great knowing you picked up on the relationship between Tyler and Ryan because that was the main sub-plot of this mission pack. The original was all about them being enemies. This was all about them growing, trying to understand each other and eventually building that trust which resulted in them becoming friends by the end of the mission pack. The main focus was, of course, Adams' master plan finally being revealed as we knew pretty much nothing at the end of the original, but I was determined to throw a few curveballs into the mix too, Connor being one of them.

I was hoping people would like Connor. My intention was to make him Tyler's equal of sorts. Connor was what Tyler was supposed to be to Adams if Tyler had decided to join him in the original. Connor was always there, even in the original, but he was in the shadows. Now, imagine if Adams had managed to persuade Tyler into joining him - Connor and Tyler working together and being Adams' main henchmen. Scary thought. Of course, it was never gonna happen as Tyler would probably leave the second he found out Adams' master plan, just like Dan Cooper did. But, you know… Still a scary thought. Reason I made that particular scene you mentioned (the roof scene) was to put a stamp on how powerful Connor actually is right from the start. The other stuff he did throughout the mission pack just amplified that.

In regards to the cutscene issue, yes, there were a few cutscenes that I might have rushed, but also, there is this unusual bug that occurs in DYOM sometimes which for some reason pushes the camera forward slightly in some cases even though they weren't originally put there. And I'm not able to know it until I play the mission. By that point, in most cases, it's too late because it's too much work to go fix a slight shift in camera angle on an objective in the middle of the mission for example. It's a drag just to find the particular cutscene objective, especially if there's multiple cutscenes in the same spot, then I have to remove every single one from the bunch to get to the one I need and it's just… :sui: So I usually leave it if it doesn't completely ruin the shot.

As for the gameplay, yes, absolutely. I wanted to make a few sequences very challenging to emphasize the strength of this new ''breed'' of Adams' agents. Plus, the stakes were much higher also and the sense of urgency was at an all time high among the characters, hence why the time limits. But the drive-by mission, I know what you mean. And trust me when I tell you, I had so much trouble with making that sequence. The friend actor didn't want to follow the route, then some enemy actors didn't want to follow the route while others did, it was a sh*t show. In the end, I managed to clean it up the best I could for the mission to work, although, if for some unknown reason it happens that one of the bike guys goes off course, you're screwed, I was aware of that, but at that point, it was either taking that small risk or re-doing it all over again and I didn't even have time to do it, but even if I did, there was no guarantee the mission would work flawlessly then either. Sorry about that.

The ending was actually the first thing I came up with when I started working on the mission pack. I wanted to keep it open for a possible trilogy part if I ever come back. Although, in that case, the trilogy part will be made in GTA: Underground.

Once again, thank you for playing through this and I hope you'll like Sweep Squad also. :colgate:
