Territory No Longer Marked as a Gang [PS2]

Hello,

 

I have been playing San Andreas for the last few months for PlayStation 2. I finished all of the storyline missions last Saturday so the first thing I thought was to kill the Ballas and Vagos gangs. I went to Jefferson and somehow, there is a glitch were two Ballas get stuck in the stairs of Las Colinas. I lost the battle after that as I ran away, so I thought the possible solution would be to buy a sniper riffle. Unfortunately, I got distracted with the Ammu-Nation side mission, which I finished. After that, I saw in the map that the Jefferson area wasn't marked with any gang color and I did the worst, I saved the game. This happened last Sunday. Is that common to happen? Does it affect some way to the game completion?

It doesn't affect anything regarding game completion but the changes might not be reversible.

"Caught on the stairs", do you mean they are like, dropping from the sky, almost a waterfall* type motion.

Also there are FREE sniper rifles in a number of locations. You do not need to buy ANY weapon in the game.

 

 

Foes spawning at extreme distance, tend to fall from the "sky" are not solid and cannot be shot from distance. You must drive up to them as fast as you can {I use a police motor] shoot and drive back to the zone , or yield the zone.

If you start a gang war and finish only 1 or 2 waves then Grove will gain only 1/3 or 2/3 of the density of the other gangs. On PS2, iirc, this may appear as grey, but somewhat distinct from a zone with no gangs at all. If you return to the zone, start another war, and complete all 3 waves then Grove will have complete control of the turf, so no permanent damage has been caused.

In all seriousness, does it matter the way I get weapons? I got used in buying to Ammu-Nation and if I find a weapon somewhere in the map, lucky me but I'm not going to be pending on checking the locations of each object. Add that I have around $300.000.

 

To answer the other question, I said "stucked" because they are but don't move. One is standing while the other is under him laying downwards as if it's an human surfboard. If I kill the one standing, the one laying on the ground gets up.

I see nothing more than two Ballas around there, I need one or two more. I tried the old trick of entering to the hotel, exiting from it, so Ballas appear. There were two in a car and one in another. Unfortunately, the later got away. The Jefferson area is so small, making it impossible to get it back. Also, some of CJ's homies kill them in a matter of seconds. Plus, is it possible to start a gang war despite not having the zone in colour?

I have to add that I defeated two out of three waves. I ran away from the third one.

After a second attempt, I was able to take over the Jefferson area. Appreciate the help.
