some of them are flippy, some of them are floppy!! hihihi i will play some of them from time to time... but to be honest... after playing them and then joining the active premium race "downtown loop or something like this", it was just more fun and intense, going fast and actually be racing quick around the track!!

transform and special vehicle races just can't get as intense and classic stunt or classic races in my personal onion!

This is not far from how I feel it, will probably try some others of the new races but nothing beats going fast around a classic stunt or classic races. Player made Street races with stunt props is some of the best races imo, no jumps, loops etc but using stunt props to make good Street races :) one of the new races I would maybe call a flipflop if that's suitable, had some nice parts and some not so nice parts ;)

hihihi yes!!! i set this as a goal! it might take some time tho, since the creator started i have created two flippy races hihihi!!!

The new races are absolute trash

Stromberg drags on due to the water parts

Deluxo won't even let you choose when to activate/deactivate hover mode... which takes away the challenge/fun/intenseness

And Thruster.... lol, I won my first race. Everybody sucked at it! And nobody actually plays them, so this one isn't worth doing. The one and only one I did had three people counting me. Spent 30 minutes trying to get just ONE Thruster race!

I like this week's premium race. Usually fast paced, a single mistake and you're done when the competition is right behind you. Lots of overtakes and/or close racing when I'm with drivers of my skill level, the lack of tubes and abundance of Vagners make the race very close when there's 3 or more good drivers at once.

 

Well at least sometimes it's like that, when the session doesn't split mid-race due to my poor connection.

didn t race much this week , but I like the new races ... they are better than I expected ... same could be said about the Thruster that I picked up this week as well ... it´s fun to fly TBH ...

the new races look really good and very well made ! they are a bit longer than regular ones ( and I like that too ) !

plus I have the feeling that the catchup isn t as effective as in the regular races ( which is a very good thing ! I hope that thing dies ! )

this make me even more excited about the upcoming transform races ... so far it´s the best "game mode" in this DLC ...

The Thruster race that requires you to go through the highway underpass tunnel, south of maze bank West. What a joke! I mean it would be fine if the rest of this game was challenging. But as it's all so noob friendly, why throw something in that requires skill when I'm not expecting it?

Had a good laugh at this. I've been hating on these races most of the week as I've been struggling to get any wins due to the fact that I own zilch of them, when most of the lobby do. Every time I'd turn Customs off, the lobby would empty like the Dead Army were on the march lol.

 

I managed to get "Flylo" with a full lobby and whooped everyone's arses with roughly 3 mins to spare : D. Spectating was a sight to behold lol.

 

After that I was able to host about another 5 and get the wins only to be abused as being a "Hacker, Modder, Cheating Asswipe etc...

 

Tbh, in the past I've used the "Suspend Process" option to my advantage to get wins and got Royally abused for it (deservedly so) but I have no need for that anymore.

BTW, as of this morning I'm up over 1-1/4mil in race winnings. Leveled up prolly a dozen times. Or more. :karmaeater:

^^ Just the opposite here. I have fully upgraded Deluxo and Stromberg. About 5-10% of the races I've been in the other racers have customs. Of the few that do have a custom they're usually not very good at racing them.

 

Even in full lobbies with pitting and catch-up enabled the margin at the finish line is often 30 to 120 seconds which allows me to be creative in choosing my lines. I got pitted once trying to pass in turn 1 and even getting sent back to 5th or 6th I was able to win by a good margin.

 

3 more race wins and my record will be 200 wins and 148 losses. Before this weekend I was about even with wins / losses down around 140-ish.

And that comment shows it all. Online is FUBAR enough that some people just don't see the problem: idiotic flashy props, hot wheels-styled roads and overall detachment from reality. Can't blame Stormer though, at first I was puzzled too.

 

The week is almost over and all I did is sold bunker and coke. Won't even dare to touch these races, not my genre.

The 2x Special Vehicle Work is amazing.

 

Doing the hardest job (The Phantom Wedge mission) will net you f*cking 65k and 7000 RP.

 

The 2x on the new races is pretty sweet - you can get 10k and 2500 RP for soloing it, and they're fun.

 

And that jetpack discount? Bought :p

Good question. I'm about to do it with three other friends. I'll set a timer to see how long it takes us. Might be a good money maker.

 

Edit: Took us eight to ten minutes to finish it. That's about double the rewards for the same time a Fortified would take to finish. If you have a friend, definitely take the chance and grind these in between business work or if bored of races.

10K for soloing those races isn't bad. I've been a bit curious to see them but not enough to deal with the demolition derby it turns into. Now I kinda wish it comes 2X on next week so I can solo them and still get easy money.

I always solo new tracks. Fewer surprises.

 

I also solo the first race or two when I start racing for the day. Otherwise you can sit there for 15 minutes and nobody joins.

 

Do a single lap race to prime the invitation pool then the next race usually fills up quickly. Sometimes I have to do two races but not often.
