Addition of the A-10 Warthog in Gta Online

What is an A-10 ?

The A-10 is a close air support plane that uses the GAU-8 Avenger cannon as it's main gun, the plane is a classic military vehicle.

Why we need the A-10 in Gta Online

 

We need it because some vehicles are way too resistant, and because the A-10 is really cool.

Vehicles like the MOC and the Avenger take huge amounts of explosives to be destroyed.

 

Balancing

 

The A-10 should have almost the same speed as the luxor just a little bit faster;

The A-10 should take 5 explosive rounds and 3 homing launchers to be destroyed;

The A-10's cannon should be the most powerful one in the game;

The A-10 should be very big so it would have countermeasures;

The A-10 would make the brrrrt sound instead of the regular machine gun sound (like Happy Hunter suggested);

The A-10 should be really bad at dog fighting;

The A-10 shouldn't be able to fly directly upwards;

The A-10 should have barrage rockets, however no homing missiles;

The A-10 should be really strong against small arms fire;

The A-10 should be a hangar vehicle;

The A-10 should instead of different types bombs have different types of rounds for the cannon.

I fully support adding an A-10. Very sexual aircraft. Very arousing.

 

A real A-10 would be pretty maneuverable I think. The speed should probably be what makes it a little more vulnerable. It should be pretty fast, but not fast enough to do that standard "turn-in-a-circle-until-the-missile-explodes" dodge that the other jets do. Dodging missiles should take good timing - should have to make a sharp turn at the last moment. Or use countermeasures.

 

Absolutely has to have the bbbbbbrrrrrrttt sound. That isn't negotiable. If it doesn't have that, it shouldn't be added. The sound should be really, really loud too. Should be pretty scary.

 

Other than that - I would just make it take a lot of explosive sniper rounds, and have a ton of really powerful weaponry on it.

 

By the way, I didn't know an A-10 round was nearly a foot long lol. That's huge.

Everything this aircraft does the Hydra does it better already, so as the Lazer, unless this one could have pivoted cannons so it could justify it.

 

Otherwise? It would be a sh*tty air-to-surface attack aircraft and I'd rather be flying my Rogue with it's sh*tty bombs without bombsights

I agree that it should have Explosive Cannon but wait, hear me out, the blast radius and damage output of said cannon should be the same as those of the Explosive Rounds for the Heavy Sniper MKII/Pump Shotgun MKII, being rather small and weak compared to the Explosive Cannons on jets.

 

It should be powerful against ground targets but unlike the Lazer and Hydra (which should had their Explosive Cannons removed long ago), it should take a little skill to actually hit someone on foot instead of just spraying and praying the ground and killing someone 3 meters away from the blast.

 

Also I agree that it should be bad at dogfights, to avoid turning it into a Lazer 2.0.

Both the Hydra and Lazer are still overpowered, even with hard counters like the Heavy Sniper MKII with Explosive Rounds, which is also overpowered in its own right.

 

Countering OP with OP is a bad way to balance a game.

It wouldn't be a regular close air support plane, it would be the tank killer, however, any jet or plane could take it down in a dog fight, even the hydra.

Oh and the main gun of the A-10 is fixed.
