I'm so happy when...

Im mostly happy when I surprise myself with mad skillz, it can be weaving through traffic at top speed, shotgunning a heli pilot at close range while stunt jumping on a motorcycle or when I constantly outsmart another player and kill them in a wide variety of ways. Stuff like that.

 

Im also mostly happy when the friends I usually play with watch each others backs, for example if a random suddenly appears during one of my free mode jobs and starts messing with me, and all of a sudden the blips of my friends close in to aid me even though theyre not in my Org.

 

Or just goofing about with the same team of friends. What I like the most is the random stuff that happens in Free mode I think, thats truly the magic of GTA for me. I can enjoy a Heist or a mission every now and then ofc, but to me that can also get very repetitive.

 

Randomness is absolute gold when everything clicks.

 

Edit: Forgot to add though that for all those golden instances there are at least just as many times when I try to do something cool and fail miserably or come across a player that is way better, or smarter, than me lol

Im so happy when I come across some non-violent player just throwing him/herself around ramps and buildings and ragdolling like a suicidal maniac.

When I get the mission completed after retrying the same special mission a few times with randoms to get a vehicle discount and I have the full price money just waiting for the purchase. After I buy the special vehicle I go on a shopping spree with the leftover money. Woo-hoo!

Doom2 multiplayer deathmatch over telephone modems back in the 90s. Mind blowing data transfer rates topping 28.8kb/s.

 

To get really good games we would take our PCs to one guys house and do a LAN party. Full sized towers with giant monitors.

 

Man, the late nights playing Shotgun 3 and the H2H series. Good times.

There are probably 800 threads similar to this, but personally, it's a very positive query that can be updated regularly, so cheers to you for bringing something positive to the proverbial table!

 

OT: three happy moments for me:

1. When the game seems to be working in my favor. So many times, it seems the game is designed to make me crash when I'm pursuing an objective.
2. When I join a race full of clean racers who also don't like the idea of Catchup.

Multiply that happiness by a factor of 2 each time they come back in and the same thing happens .

When it starts to rain and then a big fork of lightning rips through the sky in front of you, then that satisfying rumble of thunder afterwards. That always makes me feel good, and it seems to be happening a lot lately.

Makes my hair stand up when this happens with my headset..also jump scares me because it sounds so close sometimes.
