Best way to stop a moving car.. import/export

Hey guys, Ive just bought a vehicle warehouse to work alongside my bunker as I thought that it was a shame not to make a bit more use of the office I had purchased.. I only bought it to allow me to become a CEO for bunker work, but eventually decided to give the import/export stuff a try.

Im finding the import missions relatively difficult.. Ive no idea whether many of you manage to get the cars back without any damage, but Im finding it almost impossible.. I think Ive maybe managed to get two back unscathed, but the majority need substantial repairs.

The type of mission Im struggling most with.. and the main reason for this thread are the ones where youre required to stop a moving vehicle.

For example earlier I attempted a mission for a standard tier car.. whilst on the way to its location the assistant called, saying that there was a problem.. the car had been taken by an amateur (well if hes worse than me, he must be bad, haha.. Id like to meet that guy.. I could do with a laugh 😂).. anyway, when I approached the car (I was overhead in a Buzzard).. I could see it moving at high speed down the road, followed by numerous police vehicles, and even a couple of police helicopters.... and Im ideally going to stop this car, get the driver out.. avoid the police and take it back to the warehouse? Hmm, well good luck with that eh 😳

So Im wondering whether there is a decent way to deal with a situation like this? I tried getting ahead and sniping the driver.. missed, and tried again.. this time the car took another road, and never turned up at the spot where I was waiting.. then I tried blocking his path with another vehicle, but in a mission like this, the driver has absolutely no intention of stopping whatever the cost.. so Im just wondering what you you guys do in these situations?

Any advice very much appreciated

Thank you

I've used an Airport Bus before now to park across the length of a road to stop everything moving. Perhaps a Cargobob would work too but I'd guess you'd have a challenge catching the car.

It's hard not to take damage when driving, so I use a cargobob most of the time. A few thousand isn't terrible for a top end car. I think they max out at 34,000.

I've used various implements to block roads too, but they don't seem to work consistently. He will stop at lights where you can pull him out without damage. If you can get in front of him before he "spooks" you can shoot him through the front window and only pay 1,300 or so. If they get spooked I usually stop them with a rocket or three then move on to the next sourcing mission. Sometimes (as in twice in my nearly 500 cars) they will stop on their own and you can just walk up and take it.

I land well ahead and snipe him as he comes towards me. If I miss, jump in the car and shoot, f*ck the damage at that point.

That's for the police one's in BC. The one's LS will just stop if you park in front.

this works well imo. If you're really far you can snipe him without causing damage somehow.

I normally kill the cops around the car and the cop heli before losing the stars too. Then it's smooth sailing.

^ Pretty much this, just land far away enough.

You can usually spot a chopper hovering above, way before you get too close that it triggers the pursuit.

Other than that, gas bombs from a chopper/plane seems to work too, but you have to use the carpet bomb function a bit ahead of the car for it to have any effect.

The Wandering Hunter

the only use of the brickade

or just shoot the f*cker, cost yourself 3k in dings and move on

There's only 3 places the police chase can occur, so always check the map when you set off. One's on the highway north of the wind farm, one's near the Lost camp in SS and the other is the road from Maze Bank West etc up to the hills. Each has a spot you can land and snipe the driver without triggering the chase and the police chopper usually stands out like a sore thumb.

Once the driver is dead just steal the car and immediately "Lose wanted level".

PS for non-chase cars on the move, either cargobob them or find the car in front of them on the road and stop that. The target won't stop for you but it will for them ;)

I spooked the racing mission so the all took off. I ended up picking him up in motion using the bob. Got a video somewhere, I'll try to dig it up.

I just skip this sourcing mission by switching sessions, it's not worth the hassle IMO

I hate that mission...

Buzzard to the point where you see the cop chopper. Dont go to close. Call in a fast stable car. I choose the t20. Drive far enough in front of it. Press L3 to look behind. Fire away. Call lester to lose cops. Bring that baby home

^I thought you had to call lester after entering the vehicle, or the cops will just come back.
