GTA Plus Enjoyer Posted April 29, 2018 Share Posted April 29, 2018 (edited) Many people say that the 3D universe (III/VC/SA) doesn't have any connections with the HD universe (IV/V). By connections, I mean no 3D characters appear in the HD universe. In the 3D universe we had re-appearing characters in the 3 games such as Claude, Donald Love, Catalina, Ken Rosenberg, Kent Paul, etc. We had the same/similar thing in the HD universe, where Lester mentions Niko Bellic from GTA IV in GTA V, Niko's girlfriend Michelle/Karen also re-appears, Rocco re-appears, etc. However, I still think the 2 universes are actually connected, here's why: 1. A book with CJ in the cover in Lester's house. 2. Madd Dogg and OG Loc's golden records in Franklin's mansion. 3. Love Fist (the music band) is mentioned a lot. 4. The Vinewood street with the stars that have famous names written on them, some 3D characters' names are there (such as DJ Toni, the DJ that hosted Flash FM and Flashback FM in III/VC/VCS. You see many cars from 3d to hd era,some products like Sprunk and Burger Shot,and there are tv commercials and radio stations talking about 3d era cities like san andreas and vice city. There are things that happened like Johnny Howitzer going to jail for shooting Billy Pointdexter, Lazlow in Vice City, etcccc I still think they're different universes, the nods from the 3D era are just easter eggs. I will add more when I have the time. Opinions? No. A part of the reason, the 3D Universe doesn't have any connections with the HD Universe. All of 3D Universe characters (III/VC/SA) are never in the HD Universe (IV/V) because they were never existed in the HD Universe. They're not. You're also looking at two universes. You're making the assumption that the HD Universe is trying to connect to the 3D Universe. It won't. R* may finish the HD Universe within GTA VI and do a future-based setting within GTA VII for the 4K Universe.
