What ways can you AFK without being kicked in freemode?

Since I still get kicked for being AFK while looking at cameras in the bunker, is there any way to not get kicked in freemode? I'm not sure if watching TV in your apartment still works.

Get in a vehicle, turn on passive (just in case), put on cinematic view (just because), McGuyver the steering wheel so it stays turned left or right.

 

No spinning in circles, beautiful views / screensavers, it's magical... aaaand now they'll patch it

Just curious, why wouldn't looking at the cameras in the Bunker work for you? What console are you on, and have you checked to ensure it's not a controller setting automatically turning it off after inactivity?

 

TVs in garages / apartments / etc work, as does the cameras in the Avenger.

Just rubber band your left thumb stick so you walk up against something. As long as your character can drag against it, you can get it to where your character is completely still but is registered as moving. The only problem ive ever encountered was players vtk.

On xb1, you need to until a box in the >preferences >idle options

 

Left hand box, untick it

If you have a Orbital canon, you can just go to it and dont do anything because killing is bad

Using keyboard, I have a contraption I made using a spring clamp and a gooseneck intended for a gopro camera.

I steal a car and drive up it to a wall away from the street somewhere, then I clamp the gooseneck onto the desk with one end pressing down the W key.

Then I go make a sandwich, pick up the wife from work, whatever.

When I come back the tires are roasted off, but I wasn't kicked.

 

This is also a good way to boost your stealth skill: go to LSIA and start stealthing along the length of the runway and apply the goosenck.

Come back later, you'll run into the fence at the other end and you will raise your stealth skill.

Make sure the box on the left has not got a tick in it

 

That way, you can view cctv cameras for long periods without being kicked

I assume you read the thread? 

 

The TVs and Security Cameras work. Since the After Hours update, you can also watch the DJ broadcast (X on Xbox or Square on PS4 when near some TVs in your Nightclub) and you won't get kicked from that either.
