Actors Ned Luke ("Michael De Santa"), Steven Ogg ("Trevor Philips"), and Shawn Fonteno ("Franklin Clinton") were scheduled to appear at Calgary Expo on April 27–29, 2018 and participated in a panel about their experiences acting in GTA V. This topic is to collect any submitted or found pics, video, or stories (none mine).

To be completely honest, almost nobody care for these guys. GTA V died long time agon, and it's all about GTA Online, in which role of these guys in rather negligible. It's quite sad, that they are still trying to be relevant after all these years. Guys, your time has passed - get a reality check and start looking for new jobs.

Rockstar is milking GTA online and these guys are trying to milk GTA V. lol.

 

Actually Trevor's voice actor is doing well, starring at walking dead; probably he joins these tours for other two as they didn't really get ahead in their careers and need to milk their only important role.

well supposedly the last heist update was originally meant to be SP DLC, and there were 3 SP DLC planned, but canned and reused for Online, so you cant be mad at em for hyping it. But as Tycek said, they are nobodies.

Pretty much. Stephen Ogg is the only one who actually seemed to be in anything prominent after V, but even then he seems to be typecast into the "crazy guy" roles because everyone knew him as Trevor. They're all milking it for as long as they can though, they were all involved in one of the highest grossing media releases ever.

 

Of course, it seems like a majority of players skip single player for Online anyway, so would anyone who wasn't paying attention or doesn't remember the release back in 2013 even know who they are?

The Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo (AKA: Calgary Expo) is a four-day pop-culture convention held in annually each spring Calgary, Alberta at Stampede Park. Attendees can shop hundreds of vendors and exhibitors, check out panels and workshops, meet their favourite stars and creators, and celebrate what makes them geeky with thousands of other fans in cosplay. There is something for every fan at Calgary Expo.

It makes sense why the trio have another get together in this expo. I don't think they are necessarily milking it. Maybe the fans would love to meet them and listen to their experiences with a video game that has become so popular.

 

 

This. GTA has obviously been a big part of their careers, nothing sinister or part of some other agenda. I really don't see what attending an expo does to "milk" their roles when all they're doing is talking to a bunch of "geeks and other fans in cosplay". Are they getting paid for this? Maybe, and if so business is business. God forbid they try to make some money.

 

People in this thread keep saying "GTA V is dead" and while in some aspects that statement is true, people still certainly love it, even though they might not be playing it years later.

Actually they WERE working on it but the JP was a part of Trevors DLC and was more of a gadget like in San Andreas than a reskined buzzard. Probably would have showed up in the Franklin and Michael DLC's as well.

I mixed up Steven Ogg with this guy, I could have sweared that he played in Arrow. I think the other two guys have actually little similarity with Michael and Franklin, none of them bother me.

Even though it's sad that the three of them are still trying to cling onto the success of GTA 5, I sure hope there's some juicy drama at the panels. Will we finally find out what happened behind closed doors working with the Houser brothers and some stuff that never made the cut? Time will tell.

I disagree. These guys were probably invited and paid to be there. If you are an actor that isn't doing top of the line movies and TV all the time, would you pass up an opportunity to appear on stage? There is nothing sad about this. All expense trip and probably a paycheck to schmooze with people in the industry at a big expo in Calgary? As opposed to what? Playing videgames in your basement and being an armchair critic on the Intrawebs?

 

Edit: Watching it now. Wow, lol the three of them are killing it in this video! They are funny, articulate, have a great on stage chemistry, and its not just fluff. They are really bringing some awesome information to the table. The audience is just eating it up!

I know its hard for a very tiny vocal minority of IV fanboys, stuck in the past, to get over the fact that GTA has thankfully moved on to much better and greener pastures, but the critical acclaim for V was HUGE and overwhelmingly positive. Not only that, but GTA V continues to be sold at an incredibly high rate. You can squirm and lobby all you please, but GTA V took GTA HD to the next level, THANK GOD, and even though I am not interested in online, the SP is incredible, the map massive, graphics stunning, and the story spectacular.

 

The characters in V are some of the best in GTA history, and of course, the majority of fans and gamers like them!

Yeah, meanwhile the audience lapped up these guys AND they were certainly paid to be there. You are also confusing stardom in a Hollywood sense with voice recognition by videogame fans. Of course, GTA fans won't remember the names of the actors in V. They aren't Brad Pitt, Robert Downey, and Kevin Bacon. Their faces aren't even shown. Videogame characters, unless they are already stars before they did the voice overs, are not going to be famous even to the fans. But that doesn't mean that GTA fans don't enjoy the hell out of hearing the voices and seeing live interviews. LMAO these guys aren't Robert De Niro, Joe Pesce, and Al Pacino. They are relatively unknown voice actors.

 

For you to make it sound like a disparagement is really a reach, even for a disgruntled IV fan part of a whinging, angry minority of haters.

 

You think ANYONE aside from a very few IV fans could tell you the name of a single actor from that forgettable game? No.

Ned Luke is not doing much work not because of a failing career, but I believe it is mostly out of his lack in interest for big roles. He semi-retired with GTA V. Steven Ogg gained notoriety and unfortunately gets typecast into every guest role on TV, but he's doing well for himself. I hope someone gives the man a main billing in a TV show at some point, and plays a different character for once. He's a damn good actor with potential.

 

As for Shawn, he's the only one out of the three who I think may have a dead career, but I don't follow him so...

They are literally whos. Voice actors are not very remembered/registered by people, even known/famous actors who worked in the 3D era games are not known for working on videogames. With some common sense we can see that we are the minority here who only know/care for these guys. (which is a shame because I could totally see Ned Luke working in movies or at least CSI-type shows)
Im pretty sure a lot of GTAV players knew these guys back then, but given the situation nowadays they probably dont give a sh*t though, which is quite irrelevant if you ask me.

Oh my God! Steven has been hit by aging HARD! And he's the youngest of the three.

All the clips above made me LMAO EXCEPT one.... Where Steven mentions Trevor wouldn't survive a zombie apocalypse and Ned chimes in saying Trevor would instead start f*cking the zombies..... That made me sad thinking about the cut Story DLC's and the possible plot of the Zombie dlc is Trevor gets infected and spreads the virus as an STD.
