Shogun Pacino
As in GTA 3 Ray Machowski mentions that he is going in Miami..And boom Vice City is relased and it's based of miami. In vice city BJ Smith mentions San Andreas on a football match in VCPR so that made San Andreas created. So, could GTA 6 be in North Yankton as it is in GTA V? Zello
Michael mentions he did his first heist near Carcer City in 1988. Not really the latest game but in IV Luca and his crew said they were going to Las Venturas after they got the diamonds but Niko killed them all. GTA-Biker
I doubt it will be in North Yankton, the town that we saw in GTA 5 (I think it was called Ludendorff) was too small,so unless they plan to add a few more towns to the map,I think they will go to some bigger city. There were a few other locations mentioned in GTA 5,such as Liberty City, Carcer City, I think Vice City (I think I've heard some NPC say something like "I'm moving to Vice City" if you steal their car),and maybe some others. mde2
No. There's nothing appealing or logical about setting a major triple A open world game in some backwater rural town. The next GTA location was almost certainly mentioned at some point but until GTA VI information comes out we know absolutely nil and can only make assumptions. Nazadup
I don't think GTA VI will be in North Yankton because technically it already exists in GTA V, though you can't acess it. There's a logic behind GTA cities: Turism city and industrial city cicle. GTA III was based in New York, an industrial city. Then Vice City was a turism center, then SA had both kinds, then IV was back in New York, then V was again turism center. Following the cycle, we'd have GTA 6 in some industrial city, and of course would not be in Liberty City because we already saw it in the HD universe. Plus, there was a talk from someone working for Rockstar saying that Vice City would not be the choice for the next title. So that rumor of Project Americas makes little sense to me, since it goes against this talk and the cicle. I'd guess the next GTA to be settled somewhere new, like Chicago, Dallas or even Washington DC, who knows...
luisniko
Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas were the cities in GTA1. It barely mean anything anymore since they decided to reboot Vice City based on Miami, after exactly calling Miami a Miami in a game taking place in a Liberty City-reboot. Las Venturas seems a bit hard to imagine especially when they have Online and Cash Card boner, which obviously won't fit gambling minigames Las Venturas will have to offer. I would still go with Vice City and perhaps with fictional South America islands divided by useless mass of water and its wasted underwater ecology. DOUGL4S1
This has been sort of a small Easter Egg in the series, won't surprise me if GTA Next is set in a city mentioned in GTA V/Online.
Hussein Sonic
Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas were the cities in GTA1. San Andreas is California, not San Francisco. Edited May 12, 2018 by Hussein Sonic
AndyC-M
I'd love it to be Vice City, although with game maps getting so much bigger recently, they'd have to consider the whole state of Florida, did Rockstar rename this? With so many Cities they could either revisit (and redevelop) or so many unexplored Cities/States, the options are endless, but where would bring the most attraction, in the sense of vehicular warfare, guns, gangster business and illegal goings on? If Rockstar did consider Florida State, then can you image would could be, not just Vice City, but include 'Tampa', 'Orlando', 'Daytona and Daytona Raceway', 'Jacksonville' and most importantly, the Kennedy Space Center, maybe even the Bahamas. No offence, but you should done your homework, San Adreas was the city in GTA 1 based on San Fran.

Johnny Spaz
It's probably going to be in Vice City again, I'd wish it was in Carcer City though, but that's highly unlikely.
itsallup
Vice City because we are waiting for 16 years for a reboot. The logic of it would be after 2001 since Ray from GTA3 gives a clue he is going to be there. It would be even better if somehow we see him and he gives us some missions. Maybe can even introduce the protagonists to some characters maybe even Tommy Vercetti.
Hmmm nice bike
It's probably going to be in Vice City again, I'd wish it was in Carcer City though, but that's highly unlikely. I have a feeling it's going to be VC again, too. Carcer City would be nice to see after though, especially as a big change of setting. Going from a sunny and almost tropical southern location to a darker urban northern setting (preferably based on Chicago, people say it should be Detroit but I don't think Detroit can hold its own game, plus I don't like the idea of Chicago and Detroit sharing the same map, the two cities are much further apart from each other than I think most people realize). San Fierro would also be a nice location, but I don't think that has as much of a chance of happening as VC does. SF is still in the same state as LS and Rockstar might figure "We've already done a location based on part of California." DirtCheap
I think Vice City is possibly gonna be the next GTA location. We get a text from Roman towards the end of GTA IV where he states that he wishes to visit Vice City. Also, Jerry the homeless guy from EFLC has plans to move to Vice City. Also, in GTA V, Lester mention a crew "from down south" during the Jewel Store preparation so we have yet to see this crew "from down south" (Florida). Also, Vice City is the only major GTA city that hasn't been done yet.
