Update time!

g3DTZ v2.0 is out!

What's new?

  • Rewritten, better, more readable source code
  • Fixed LCS PARTICLE.CFG, some fields were very wrong
  • Improvements in float printing in text files
  • Filled in some missing fields from HANDLING.CFG
  • Added extraction support for:
    • Decompressed GAME.DAT to use directly with @The Hero's lcsconv and vcsconv tools
    • Animations (!!!)
    • Path data for train, airtrain and ferry
    • Zones
    • PED.DAT
    • LCS FISTFITE.DAT
    • WATERPRO.DAT

So, where's the link?

Somewhere around... here

via adding it to archive using winrar. renamed the "GAME.rar" to "GAME.DTZ"

GAME.DTZ is a zlib-compressed memory dump of the game, NOT a zip/rar archive...

If that was the case, my tool would be completely useless, wouldn't it?

Can you add rebuilding support of the GAME.DTZ file, I know is not the goal of your tool but now it could be a good opportunity to do it since the new Sanny Builder 3.4.0 supports recompiling of the MAIN.SCM of Vice City Stories file. The main thing I need to edit is the maps IDE files to extend the draw distance of objects in general and play it on PC via emulators...

Then I have bad news for you. Map is managed by the streamed world system (LVZ), aka you can’t change it. The ide files from DTZ are used only for collisions.

For god sake finally i found it.

Very thankful for sources. Its very important not waisting time "discovering a wheel". Each and every soft that was ever created by gta communuty must be carried with a source code - it can be helpful in a lot of cases.

I'm looking forward creating a file formats database only for stories, because wiki is lack and/or avaliable info is smashed over forums.

¡Tiempo de actualizacion!

¡Lanzado g3DTZ v2.0 !

    • Zonas
    • PED.DAT
    • LCS FISTFITE.DAT
    • WATERPRO.DAT

Entonces, ¿dónde está el enlace?

En algún lugar alrededor ... aquí

Hi, I'm new, I'm glad I would like to know if there is an application or program that allows you to modify the animations of the vice city stories? I mean I managed to get the files out of the mocapps2.img but they come in an .ANIM format and I would like to convert them to the classic .IFP of the other gta and well I don't know if anyone can help me with that

Hello and sorry for the late reply. No, this tool serves the purpose of dumping files to a readable format by PC gtas, mainly for the stories to PC port projects. For changes in parts of the file I've always used the good ol' manual hex editing.
