Probably not actually. The music files are encrypted, so they can't be modded.

The downgrader won't run. I click on the .exe but nothing happens.

That's becuase you're supposed to click on the batch file.

Will you retain the new songs added to Vladivostok FM with this downgrader?

 

Is it even possible to add songs to a radio station? I know you can replace songs and change the duration in the DAT15 file but you can't add anything to it.

Am I right that I paste first the IVDOWNGRADE then the IVDOWNGRADEIVpatch into D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV and run IVDOWNGRADE's bat after IVDOWNGRADEpatch's?

you should have used the downgrade patch, only if have downloaded the downgrader at 27 or 28th april.

This archive contains pre 26/4/2018 radio dats, gxts, and also binary differences between post 26/4/2018 patch and prepatch radio's RPFs

 

IV radio "downgrader"

EFLC radio "downgrader"

 

Just unpack to your IV or EFLC root directory and run the install.bat, wait till the command line disappears and play!

 

After installing this downgrade, all the radio stations in the game became quiet.

Try checking caches on steam

It seems now when using this downgrader on the latest patch just causes a black screen then crash, this was on GTA IV

I can confirm this. EFLC downgrader works fine tho.

@George Costanza Could you please also upload MD5 checksum for all the changed files after this downgrader patch? Mine is crashed after installing this patch, so I'm wondering if my GTA IV sound files is actually the old one and does not require this patch

Was lazy to pick all. Try checking caches in steam, i recently installed IV freshly on fresh OS and downgrader was fine (used download from forums)

Also @Spider-Vicetold me there is bug with windows 10 where the game hangs on legal screen. To get rid of this just go to properties of exes and disable fullscreen optimization

Is the game supposed to start with Glukoza's "Schweine" after the downgrade? Because mine doesn't.

During the cutscene, when Roman picks up Nico, the song is playing in the background when you actually take over, it switches. Am i doing something wrong?

 

Edit: Nevermind, the song is in the game. All good!

I don't think that's enough. Sometimes the game either hangs on the black screen or at the legal screen, you need to wait a few minutes. Apparently it has to do with the background gta4browser.exe process taking a long time to run.

thats different issue, it happens after legal screen, after GTA IV logo, only on GTA IV and way to get rid of it is block IV or the browser in firewall, but i think that blocks multiplayer.

it happens, because iv is trying to connect to non existing website :)))))

Yeah that's right! (and originality is important for the community and newcomers)

Scripted songs that were removed with the update are not working. Instead game plays random tracks in those certain missions.

Thanks for everything but story is still not the same without its scripted music. Can you please also fix this?

There werent any changes to game script and only song from mission audio which was changed is glukoza which i heard last time i played with downgrader

Extracted to root folder, installed batch file as admin, still no Glukoza - Schweine, or any of old tracks i remember from vladivostok fm.

Ok nevermind you dont need to execute install batch as admin, everything works fine, thanks!
