What's the solution to the Vespucci Job 'friends' and crews?

So I joined the Vespucci Job on-call through phone.

I ended up in a full lobby, 4/4 players and host set to 4 rounds.

Throughout the match, I noticed that the 3 friends seem to be working together.

When one was the runner, the other two cops seemed to try preventing me and we ended up as three cops barely moving.

I actually wanted to keep moving, but they'd end up stopping me anyway.

So when I stayed in one place, one decided to chase after the runner.

Why did they do this?

Did they just get bored of staying in one place or not being able to stop me?

Why did they let the runner win, rather than cops?

Because three cops could get more money in total than one person as runner.

So when one cop friend decided to go after their runner friend, I started moving to stop the cop guy.

Ironically enough, I gave them the same treatment where I tried to prevent them like they prevented me.

Just a while ago when a runner had 14/15 checkpoints and us three cops were not moving, they decided to pause and all three voted kick me.

I wasn't gonna stay and get kicked to story mode, so I just simply quit through phone back to GTA Online.

How was I supposed to deal with this?

If some of you reading actually do this, could you explain why people might do as stated above?

I don't understand the mentality.

I tried to follow by their made up rules, but they just seemed to want me to do nothing or be rather toxic towards randoms who wanted to play fair.

When I was the runner, they all still tried to stop me but I ended up winning anyway.

I only wanted to play fair with these people, but I don't know how to.

They are trading wins so they can all make a bunch of money.

 

They kicked you because you were trying to actually play the game.

 

If you join a Vespucci Job and see them all wearing the same crew tag, just leave, chances are they are farming the game mode for money.

 

Edit: Getting kicked from a job doesn't put you back in story mode. It will just put you back into freeroam Online.

When joining lobbies pay attention and check if they are from the same crew,if yes leave and find another lobbie.

You can also create your own lobbie and kick people you think that are going to give you problems during the match

They should have chased and prevented each other from getting me, like real crooked cops.

I had one game yesterday where two IGN guys did play fair, and the rest didn't.

When I get kicked, it gives me an error message about connection timed out or something.

Then I'm taken back to story mode, or have to quit game and restart.

It's not always easy to tell apart crew mates, some are just simply friends with different crew.

I prefer to join on-call, it's much quicker that way.

I just close the phone and repeat, until I get 3/4 players and wait to get directed.

When I tried hosting the Vespucci Job, it takes a while to fill up or long time.

But if two friends or crew mates joined, they could easily get me kicked while I'm host since it only takes two vote kicks in four player lobby.

If you see two people or more of the same crew, you have control over who joins the lobby when hosting. So logically, you would kick them prior to starting. Edited April 26, 2018 by REXX

Mate they don't want you to win. They want only their crew/friends to win. Of course they went after you while you were the runner, they wanted to win that round too lol.

It's almost as if crews weren't ever a thing, lol.

 

If you join a job that's all crew except you, you're there for their entertainment. Best to bail if too much.

A little update.

I realised that we could add Adversary Modes into a Playlist.

So I created one and included all 7 Vespucci Jobs, set to 7 rounds with 4/4 players.

It's better now, just for the sake of respawning and boosting.

Found a new asshole tactic on the docks one today, a cop car just needs to go sit in the right place between containers and you cant get to to checkpoint (unless theyre really dumb), just had a guy doing it all rounds so he couldnt lose, didnt even need to drive around.
