Love it. Just played Tanker Commander and Highjack with this.

 

little criticism though:

-The truck is too wide. (or not high enough - however you want to se it.)

left one is original and right is how I think it should be.

These american cabover semi trucks are very high. (yours is about as wide as the rdtrain and that one is massively oversized imo)

 

-CJs hand are far away from the steering wheel. If it was a bit bigger and untilted it would be in the correct position and also be more like an actual old semi truck steering wheel. (if it is like this because "lore friendly" then ignore this point)

 

-the truck has 2 undriven rigid rear axles which looks very strange. I'd suggest either an rudimentary drivetrain or just filling up the whole area with a box like on the vanilla trucks.

 

-nice to see the shaking exhaust (though the effect is a little strong); maybe you can also use f_steer for the steering wheel since that also works without breaking the model for non-VehFuncs users.

Resizing the model won't be a problem, though. But i also have to fix the UV mapping on the body so paintjobs made for the older version would less likely to work.

I think that could be easily fixed by me since it's just a simple vertex/face moving job.

I guess i'll fill the whole area just like vanilla semi cabs then.

I've did experimented with f_steer on some of my vehicles. The results might be satisfying but sadly it kinda bugged tho since the steering wheel is a square mapped to a texture with an alpha channel. Strangely enough it has correct material order when the steering wheel wasn't supposed to invisible when looked from the outside. I'll think about it later

Hey, I added the tunning parts folder to mod loader for the elegy, but the game is still not letting me go into the mod shop with the elegy. What did I do wrong?

Cant really understand what your problem is but for me f_steer works fine with the vanilla steering wheels. Just detached it, renamed it and adjusted the axes position and rotation. Just cheked again and couldn't find any alpha bugs.

 

as for the Paintjobs: the 2 you included still look basically the same with the smaller cab.

 

anyway thx for considering all of this :)
