Making SA style object really is an art. Its so simple yet so complicated. You are literally creating something that conveys a feeling of being in a certain atmosphere and time from it's looks and feels, just like a real painting. PS: If this is ever considered an art, coutt would definitely be the Picasso of it.

I mean, kinda. The models are fantastic, but not really SA styled. Sure, they are brilliantly made, low poly, and use SA textures - but if you, for example, compare any of the Land Yachts to something like Oceanic or Tornado, you will see differences in everything from details to proportions.

 

No hate to Mr. Yo Neckk, love your work, just pointing out the obvious.

Dude, "true" sa styled cars (or all of 3d era vehicles) ugly, weird and discusting as my exgf.

Yeah, admittedly I've come to realize this too. Look at the grilles of the Warwick or Sabre Chumash for example. Rockstar would never have made such a detailed grille, nor the headlights on the latter. At best you would've got a grille with vertical straight lines, like the Greenwood.

I honestly think true SA style is nigh-on unattainable though. The original ~200 or so vehicles were made to very strict standards I'd assume, standards that none of us know about. Even if you take a look at what's been made for Underground, you'd be hard pressed to find a vehicle that actually would have gone in a 3D era game. Barring the ZR-350, no car had their name printed on the body anywhere. Yet Underground has a few. No car would've been made with a unique wheel design, yet again, Underground has several.

And besides, "true" SA style is boring. Whether it's because we've seen the same cars for going on 15 years or because they were designed to be as bland as possible, nobody's really interested in them. These cars (and yours, no doubt) are far superior to anything R* made between 2000 and 2006.

Amazing work, it's like Rockstar made them themselves! Despite low polygon count and textures, vehicles in SA always appeared somehow beautiful to me, there's definitely something about their visual representation that occupies attention of the viewer, especially when used with PS2 reflections and SkyGFX.

 

I wish Rockstar was just a little bit more oriented towards making some of the details more prominent in order to bring us that higher level of depth when it comes to cars, just like the respected author, keep it up man!

@RM76 Man... that car is simply beautiful. Didn't know the artwork car bares so much resemblance to it, even those dots on front bumper. I can't believe that it was left out, not even a beta model, shame. It's a beauty. Thanks for letting me know btw, I didn't know what car is that exactly.

Yeah, that car has always bugged the hell out of me. The red lowrider on the right is clearly a Blade, but the one on the left doesn't even bare a close resemblance to anything that shipped in the game. It sort of looks like a cross between a Buccaneer and an Esperanto, except it has four doors, which neither car has. The tail and profile do somewhat resemble that of the cut Idaho, but the front end looks much more like the beta Hachura, though again with four doors:

Well, that's an interesting 70's GM fullsize sedan that i'd like to make it into SA since i was kinda disappointed they didn't made it into the game. I'd take either Savanna or Impaler for the name since it's somewhat based on '73 Impala but without chrome strip on the body.

wondering about that orange car since I first saw the artwork. Still bothers me that the Grove St. gang members drive that ugly Greenwood instead of this.

The details definitely look like the 73 Chevys but it seems to have a boxier design - flat grille and a straight profile at the C pillar..

 

for some reason I always imagined the rear of the car to look something like this.

i have a problem: the interior and some other bits of these cars don't have a texture (they show as plain white) but the exterior is fine. i used imgtool 2.0 to install them by just replacing the old .dff files with the 

new ones

awesome cars btw!
