[IV/EFLC] The Hardcore Lost MC

This mod primarily aims to enhance your experience and satisfaction with The Lost MC in The Lost and Damned. The Lost MC bikers re-obtain their hardened, hardcore looks, accents, and overall roots from the main GTA IV. That includes new models for them, with more long hairs and beards, including some grey versions, helmets, dirtier clothes and patches, and more noticeable scars, as well as replacement of some voice lines. The backup bikers participating in the Gang Wars side-mission are now more hardened, and they'll last in battles longer than before, which includes Jim, Terry and Clay as well. Lost bikers would also be seen riding not only the Lycan, but also every chopper they pick as a usual ride. The Angels of Death MC used some changes too, but reversely, becoming cleaner and more in shape, as they were in the original game.

But don't forget to backup your files before installing it in your game. In order to replace and add archived files, you'll have to use a file editing tool such as OpenIV.

 

Here is a more detailed list of the changes that have been done so far:

General:

  • Now each of Billy, Jim, Brian, Terry, Clay, Jason, Malc and DeSean have different walkstyles.
     
  • Instead of overusing the walk style 'Move Gang Generic A' for every outlaw biker, I changed the walkstyle of some of them to 'Move Male Casual B' depending on the gang member's model.
     
  • The health of the gang war backup, including Jim, Terry and Clay, has been increased.
     
  • Besides the Lycan, The Lost's members now ride each of Revenant, Diabolus, Hellfury and Zombie.
     
  • A list with various soft voiced accents of M_Y_GLost_02 has been replaced with one from GTA IV's M_Y_GBik_Hi_01.
     
  • M_Y_GLost_04's voice lines have been replaced with the original Lost biker voice lines from GTA IV.
     
  • M_Y_GLost_01's default arm wrestling taunt voice lines have been replaced with alternative unused ones. Similarly, a bunch of M_Y_GLost_04's arm wrestling taunt voice lines have been replaced with alternative unused ones.
     
  • Voice lines of M_Y_GLost_01M_Y_GLost_02 and M_Y_GLost_04 are now the only voice lines set to play in the Hi-Low cards gambling minigame.

 


Appearances:

  • Several low quality in-game Lost MC textures have been replaced with higher quality. This includes BillyJimBrianTerryClay and Jason. Some were simply copied cutscene textures, and some were manually remade, which includes refining Billy's and Terry's hand colors to fit with their original skin colors.
     
  • The Lost MC's brown eagle's logo has been recolored to be redder.
     
  • The Lost MC's clubhouse main doors have been enhanced.
     
  • A more suitable Lost MC clubhouse flag has been made, and the American flag has been replaced with a Confederate version.
     
  • Replaced the skull logo of The Lost MC's Slamvan and the clubhouse's wall with a more intimidating one.
     
  • Zombie B chopper has been 'Lost-ified'.
     
  • Replaced the skull logo of Innovation with The Lost MC's eagle logo.
     
  • Several uniforms of The Lost's members have been re-colored to more captivating colors, such as desaturated and dark shades of brown, green and blue, in addition to black and grey.
     
  • More Lost MC bikers are now grey-haired (or arguably old).
     
  • Many of The Lost MC's members are now scarred and/or have rougher scars.
     
  • Most of The Lost MC's patches are now dirtier, including the ones of Clay and Jason.
     
  • Helmets now have more diverse brightness and darkness levels.
     
  • Johnny's appearance has been enhanced. His shirt has been darkened and desaturated, the skull patch on the jacket has been replaced with a Confederate flag patch, his pants have been changed into black leather, his boots have been darkened, and their lighting textures have been restored (re-skinned Brian's version). The mustache and brows have been slightly darkened as well, some hairs have been re-colored to white, and their lighting textures have been enhanced. Fortunately, it's still explainable story wise due to his past drug addiction.
     
  • The vest, leather pants and boots of Billy wears have been darkened to black, his gloves have been re-colored to black and his shirt to washed green. Additionally, the bike explosion's damage on his face from 'This Sh*t's Cursed' has been added onto his face in the prisoner version of his model. It has been briefly faded it out and toned down due to the time he spent inside, though.
     
  • Jim's camo pants have been replaced with black jeans, his vest and boots have been re-colored to black, and his hoody has been desaturated.
     
  • Terry's vest, pants and boots have been darkened.
     
  • Clay's vest, jacket, pants and boots have been briefly darkened, and his shirt has been re-colored to washed brown, Additionally, his hair's color no longer noticeably tends to blue.
     
  • Jason's jacket and boots have been darkened.
     
  • Ashley's jacket has been re-colored to be less bluish.
     
  • Brian's vest and pants have been darkened, as well as his shirt along with a brief desaturation. The American flag patch on his vest has been replaced with a Confederate version. Additionally, The Lost MC's logo and patches have been restored on his model post betrayal, given the fact that he formed his own faction of The Lost MC, and not "Jeremy biker gang".
     
  • M_Y_GLost_01 has been replaced with a 'Lost-ified' version of M_Y_GAngels_02.
     
  • M_Y_GLost_02 has been replaced with a 'Lost-ified' and customized version of M_Y_GAngels_04.
     
  • M_Y_GLost_03 has been replaced with an enhanced version of M_Y_GBik_Lo_02 from GTA IV.
     
  • M_Y_GLost_04 has been replaced with an enhanced version of a combination of M_Y_GBik_Lo_01 and M_Y_Bouncer_01 from GTA IV.
     
  • M_Y_GLost_05's mask has been replaced with an enhanced version of M_Y_GBik_Hi_01's helmet from GTA IV.
     
  • M_Y_GLost_06's property variations have been replaced with an enhanced version of those of M_Y_GBik_Hi_01's from GTA IV. Low texture quality pink glasses have been replaced with higher texture quality of brown and orange ones. The mohawk haircut has been scrapped as well.
     
  • A helmet has been added for LostBuddy_03, and his vest has been replaced with a jacket from the new M_Y_GLost_02.
     
  • LostBuddy_04 has been replaced with an enhanced version of GTA IV's M_Y_GBik_Lo_01.
     
  • LostBuddy_05 has been replaced with a 'Lost-ified' and customized version of M_Y_GAngels_03.
     
  • LostBuddy_06 is now more 'Lost-ified'.
     
  • LostBuddy_07's blue bandana has been replaced with a brown version of M_Y_GLost_06's.
     
  • LostBuddy_08's low quality texture of the hair with the green bandana has been replaced with a higher quality one from GTA IV. Additionally, the low quality textured vest has been replaced with another 'Lost-ified' vest model with a higher quality from GTA IV's M_Y_GBik02_Lo_02.
     
  • LostBuddy_09 has been replaced with a 'Lost-ified' version of M_Y_GBik_Hi_01 from GTA IV.
     
  • A black vest has been added for LostBuddy_10, and his haircut has been replaced with long hair.
     
  • LostBuddy_11 has been replaced with an enhanced version of M_Y_GBik_Lo_02.
     
  • LostBuddy_12 has been replaced with a combination of GTA IV's M_Y_GBik_Lo_01 and M_Y_Bouncer_01.
     
  • LostBuddy_13's mask has been replaced with an enhanced version of M_Y_GBik_Hi_01's helmet from GTA IV.
     
  • The Angels of Death's tattoos have been removed from the arms of LostBuddy_03 and F_Y_BikeStripper_01, and one of the head textures of F_Y_GLost_02.
     
  • The blue parts of Johnny's phone have been desaturated.
     
  • Dirts have been removed from the Angel Burrito.
     
  • The skin color of the Angel lieutenant (who appears during 'Angels In America') has been desaturated.
     
  • The skin color of M_Y_GAngels_01 has been desaturated for being too reddish, the horseshoe mustache has been changed to a goatee and scars and the skull tattoo have been scrapped from the head texture that has them, as well as the reddish brown haircut. Dirts have also been significantly reduced from its vests and pants.
     
  • A white hair texture has been made for the old biker of M_Y_GAngels_02. Additionally, the brutal scars of the three head textures that have them scrapped, and the facial hair of a horseshoe mustached biker has been modified to give him a more urban look.
     
  • M_Y_GAngels_03's skin color has been desaturated, and scars have been reduced from the head texture that has them.
     
  • M_Y_GAngels_04 has been replaced with M_M_GBik_Lo_03 from GTA IV in order to make a differentiation between it and M_Y_GLost_02.
     
  • The first head model of M_Y_GAngels_05 has been scrapped, its pants have been replaced with cleaner ones and scars have been reduced from the head texture that has them.
     
  • M_Y_GAngels_06's skin color has been desaturated for being too reddish, and the brutal scars have been scrapped from the head texture that has them.

 

 

 

Complementary modifications highly recommended to install:

If you have the recommended mods installed along with this, you should make sure that neither of them replaced files of The Hardcore Lost MC, as it maintains their features and changes in addition to its own. In other words, just let the content of The Hardcore Lost MC overwrite any overlapping files from the other recommended mods you've installed.

I took a look at your pedpersonality file, and you did the ''buffing'' wrong. You nerfed them in fact. The way defense works is contrary to what people would guess. The higher the defense stat is, the more damage you take. The lower the defense, the less damage you take (stronger you are).

 

This is basically my Tough Backup mod but with Retextures on the side :p

 

Other notes:

- Changes to pedpersonality cause bugs at starts of new games (crashes during one of the 1st few missions and phone bugs that are unavoidable untill uninstalled), so install is recommended when you become President (there's no bugs from there onwards afaik, you could possibly install this earlier than that but imo it's the best time to do so);

- The addition of a patch on the Lostbuddy_03 shirt is useless as he has a vest over it that has the patch (and he never spawns without the vest);

- You didn't remove the L O S T ''compass'' (dunno what else to call it) from the back of Lostbuddy_05 before adding the patch there, making it look weird.

Oh, so that's why all of my gang war buddies are dead. Gotta decrease it then. (it works the same way for SA's pedtype defense, but didn't expect it for IV and EFLC)

 

Nah, not exactly :p. Defend points aren't the exact ones from your mod. Attack strength was changed too.

 

- That's weird. I've been using a modified pedpersonality since the beginning of my game and faced no crashes. Didn't face phone bugs neither.

- Didn't notice that xd. But that's not a problem though.

- Ikr, that's why I stated the "Don't expect it to be perfect" note. Removing it would need some more experience in texture editing. Whenever I know how to remove it properly I surely will.

Updated:

- Modified some uniform textures so they won't look weird anymore.

- Fixed several added patches being wrong located and/or being unfitting sized.

- Modified/improved Johnny's appearance. (Head, hands, jacket & shirt, pants, and boots)

- Removed the Angels of Death's tattoo from a Lost MC's girl.

- Replaced Jim's camo pants with biker leather pants, and re-colored his boots from light brown to black.
- Replaced Angus' pants with dark grey leather.
- Re-colored Jason's leather pants from jeans-like color to dark grey.
- Darkened Brian's jeans.
- Added The Lost MC's patch to Brian's uniform when he betrays the valid line (Johnny's faction); there's nothing called "Jeremy biker gang", but there is "Brian's faction of The Lost". (for some reason he wears it in the first mission too. Seems like a scripting fail)

 

Added screenshots of Johnny, Jim, Angus, Jason and Brian. As the updated uniforms are many, I didn't take of the rest. You can view them via SparkIV or OpenIV, or by testing them ingame.

 

Unfortunately, nobody ever converted Billy's gloves and long boots to Johnny. (talking about proper models, not textures only. a.k.a. WDR format)

I really thought of adding them, until I saw this in cargrp.dat: Obbe removed hellfury because of low density Obbe removed zombieb because of low density

So, I'm not sure about it, if it's true or nah.

 

I'm still thinking of adding them, because after all, not everything is fully fitting and/or perfect in here. Even weapons aren't that well on Johnny's hands, due to the fact they were originally modeled to fit on Niko's hands, but R* didn't modify them in TLaD or TBoGT.

I think by low density, they meant low traffic density in Graphics options? (which is low for consoles?), or the Frq value in vehicles.ide (for which all IV bikes have 30 in comparison to all TLAD bikes having 100)? A lot of things R* devs do doesn't make any sense. I had no issues having Zombie B and Hellfury in cargrp among other bikes (they might not spawn as often, but it's better than not spawning at all).

Johnny looks worse with all these changes imo. It might be just me around here, but I liked his default appearance in TLAD compared to this. If you brought back his appearance in IV, with the tattoo on his neck and paler skin, that would be much better than this, which looks like what happens when a 12 year old opens up photoshop and keeps slapping SUPER COOL TATTOOS he got off google images in random places on the player character.

As far as I remember, somebody has already converted IV's Johnny to TLaD.

Updated:

  • Decreased the skull tattoos over Johnny's neck, and organized them a little more.
  • Improved the gloves textures and darkened them.

 

Not really perfect though, but at least better. I'll update the preview screenshots later. Updated.

 

No gloves model as well. As nobody converted proper gloves model to Johnny. Otherwise, Billy's gloves would've looked perfect on Johnny's hands.

It's been a while since the last update. I threw some changes since I realized that Johnny looks kinda weird and most of the additional tattoos were out of place;

 

  • Removed the tattoos that I previously added on Johnny's neck.
  • Reverted the tattoo on Johnny's forehead.
  • Removed 'L.F.F.L.' tattoo from Johnny's head.
  • Removed the gloves' textures from Johnny's hand since there isn't a proper model that can be used for them.
  • Now each of Johnny's hands are tattooed.
  • Replaced the tattoo in the back of Johnny's head.

Updated:

 

  • Replaced m_y_glost_01 with a copy of m_y_gangels_04; replaced the uniforms' textures with The Lost's as well. The replaced textures were taken from m_y_multiplayer and lostbuddy_03. To be mentioned, a few manual touches have been put on, meanwhile, instead of overusing three textures of the same white vest of lostbuddy_03, I re-colored one to grey, and another one to brown. In addition, the Angels of Death's tattoo has been removed from a head's textures, not to mention that I re-colored a hat from red to dark grey, and replaced a secondary logo of the Angels of Death from another hat's texture with The Lost's, in addition to an AoD patch from one of the jackets, not to mention that I re-colored a red shirt from a uniform's texture to brown. Also, compared to m_y_gangels_04, m_y_glost_01 now has three uniform textures (in addition to the three vest textures) and also three pants textures, not only two for each of them.
  • Replaced one of m_y_glost_02's head textures with a better one (now the head texture is repetitive; one with a member who wears gloves, and one who doesn't). Also, removed some 'pretty face' texture that doesn't fit in a biker gang, due to that fact he looks so clean and normal, without any scars, tattoos, or gang look.
  • Replaced m_y_glost_03 with m_y_gbik_lo_02 from vanilla IV. (not to forget that m_y_glost_05 was already replaced with m_y_gbik_lo_01 from IV.) 
  • Re-added the default m_y_glost_04. Added The Lost MC's patch onto a jacket that's missing it.
  • Added a helmet for lostbuddy_03.
  • Since lostbuddy_04 is a copy of a model of m_y_glost_05, I replaced his head's texture with a better one from m_y_glost_05.
  • Replaced lostbuddy_13 with a modified copy of m_y_gangels_04 that's similar to lostbuddy_03.
  • Forget about the updates I've made on Johnny's appearance before, now changes compared to the default textures: GTA V's head textures, with slightly darkened brows and mustache, re-colored shirt from green to greyish brown, pants have been turned into a black leather, skull patch is now shaded, and is golden on the President uniform. Not to mention some minor improvements on textures of the jacket, boots and hand.
  • Jim's shirt is now more greyish.
  • Angus' shirt is now grey.
  • Brian's shirt is now grey.
  • The bike explosion's damage on Billy's face from "This Sh*t's Cursed" has been added to his face in the prisoner version of his model. Slightly faded it out due to the fact he spent some time after those events, which would mean he has been almost treated of that damage.
  • The Lost's female members and strippers now act as parts of the gang. They will no longer attack Johnny when he does so, as well as they'll defend him when someone attacks him, just like the male members.

Didn't update the preview screenshoots of The Lost MC's main characters (including Johnny). I would do that when I got time for it.

 

That reminds me, the voices of m_y_glost_01/3/5 actually fit better with the new models. I suppose R* planned to make all of The Lost's members look badasses in the first place, but didn't expand on that. I guess they wanted us to feel like we're the "good guys", or whatever.

Some minor updates:

  • Reversed m_y_glost_01 and m_y_glost_02 for a cutscene model compatibility issue. (some other benefits of this change: as m_y_glost_02 is the most to be loaded and spawned, now more badass bikers spawn instead, not only inside the clubhouse and in streets, but also members competing illegal bike races. Also, Brian's faction now contains smaller number of tough members.)
  • Now each of Billy, Jim, Brian, Terry, Clay and Jason walk like gangsters rather than regular civilians.

I guess you can take some unused gangmembers (were used in IV, but unused in TLAD since Uptown Ryders take up their gang slot)

Ew, I hate the voice lines of glost_01 (at least the standard one, not sure about gang variant), because if lost dudes with this voice pack get shot in the leg, they'll scream for Mommy (no joke). That sh*t pissed me off when I was playing as Lost Buddies in Multiplayer (who for some reason, all had their voicepack set to that of glost_01, and I had to change it to their equivalent Lost/Angel lookalike voicepacks).

It's a good idea actually, since it'll expand the number of The Lost's gang members.

 

I'm still not sure if I should do it though, since I don't want to have those 'pretty face' skinny gang members (default m_y_glost_01 and m_y_glost_03), and I like the fact that I replaced them. (m_y_glost_05 has some cool faces though, but I didn't like the uniforms it included. Looked kinda weird for an outlaw motorcycle club, especially when compared to the AoD's)

Good note here. I didn't notice that before.

 

Therefore:

  • Handed m_y_glost_03's voicelines to m_y_glost_02 (previously, it had m_y_glost_01's voice lines in the mod), and replaced m_y_glost_03's voice with the original one of vanilla IV's Lost members.
  • Instead of all of The Lost Buddies having m_y_glost_01's voice lines, now they have the voice lines of m_y_glost_03, m_y_glost_04, m_y_glost_05, m_y_glost_06 and the original Lost members of vanilla IV.

  • Replaced M_Y_GAngels_04 with M_M_GBik_Lo_03 from vanilla IV to make a differentiation between it and M_Y_GLost_02.
  • Decreased the brown color of a uniform's shirt of M_Y_GLost_02, and so with a blue shirt of another uniform.
  • Modified M_Y_GBik_Lo_01's (currently M_Y_GLost_03) textures with some head mixtures and uniform touches for some more variety.

  • A couple of scars have been added onto Johnny's face, to give him a more hardened biker look. I also re-colored some parts of his mustache and brows to grey, and turned his eyes' colors to brown, which give him some more drug addict look. Fortunately, it's still explainable story wise, since he used to be a drug addict in the past. (nah, not the same wierdo scars that were in some previous edits 😛)
  • Colors of the uniforms and properties of each of M_Y_GLost_06, Lostbuddy_02, and Lostbuddy_10 are now between black, grey and white.
  • Replaced the properties of M_Y_GLost_06 with a modified copy of M_Y_GBik_Hi_01_p's from vanilla IV. Differences: darker helmet, and instead of the low texture quality pink glasses, I replaced them with higher texture quality of brown and orange ones.

And by now, there are:

 

3 Lost members wear helmets. (2, 5 and 6)

2 Lost members wear masks. (1 and 4)

1 Lost member wears neither. (3)

  • Most of The Lost MC's members are now scarred.
  • Helmets' level of brightness and darkness is now variegated.
  • Replaced LostBuddy_05 with a modified copy of M_Y_GAngels_03.
  • As the head texture of LostBuddy_08 is borrowed from vanilla IV's M_Y_GBik02_Lo_02, replaced it with the other texture of IV's, and instead of the low quality texture of the hair with the green bandana, I've replaced it with a higher quality one from IV, re-coloring the bandana to black instead. Also, replaced the low quality vest texture with one with higher quality. (vest textures were borrowed from @B Dawg's AoD to Lost MC Ped Retexture mod.)
  • Replaced LostBuddy_12 with a modified copy of LostBuddy_06; black hoody and different head textures.
  • Removed the Angels of Death's tattoos from the arms of each of M_Y_GLost_02, LostBuddy_03 and LostBuddy_13.
  • Instead of overusing the walk style 'move_gng @ generic_a', I've variegated between it and 'move_gng @ generic_c' depending on the gang member's model. (I didn't include 'move_gng @ generic_b' due to its weird sprint animation.)

True, it is fun.

 

Yes, I hope I will. My laptop is currently being repaired, typing from my phone. When I get it back and make sure that I won’t make some other noticeable updates for a time, I would take some pictures, at least for the textures I’m sure I won’t touch for a certain time (if ever).

  • Darkened the vest and leather pants of Billy, and re-colored his shirt to brown.
  • Most of The Lost MC's patches are now dirtier, including the ones of Johnny, Clay and Jason.
  • Re-colored Jim's vest to black, and hoody to brown.
  • Terry and Clay are now scarred.
  • Re-colored Clay's shirt to brown.
  • Re-colored Brian's shirt to brown.

  • More Lost MC bikers are now grey-haired, or arguably old.

  • The Lost MC's brown eagle's patch now has a devilish look; red eyes, and bloody fangs and beak, to give it more of an outlaw vibe.
  • Replaced the skull logo of the shirts of Billy and M_Y_GLost_06, The Lost MC's Slamvan, and the walls of The Lost MC's clubhouse, with a more intimidating one.
  • Improved the lightning of Johnny's mustache and brows so they look more of real hairs than just black textures. Also, re-colored the layout of The Lost MC's patches on his jacket; now plot is black and 'The Lost' and 'TLMC' names are white, and so with the 'MC' layout.
  • Fixed the lightning of Johnny's boots.

  • The blue radar blips of The Lost MC's main members have been re-colored to brown.
  • Improved The Lost MC's flag inside the clubhouse, replaced the American flag with a Confederate version, the blue walls with red ones, and replaced a poster with a 'Patriot' one.
  • Replaced the textures of the doors of The Lost MC's clubhouse with an unused version from the cutscene files.
  • Replaced the skull patch on Johnny's jacket with a Confederate flag one. (according to the jacket's lighting textures, the skull patch was originally meant to be the Confederate flag. And that makes sense, since The Lost MC carried the Confederate flag in standard IV, and so they did in some early versions of GTA V. But you know... R* always want to show the protagonistic gangs as the "good boys".)
    • In addition, The Lost MC now carry a lot of Confederate flag references, not only inside the clubhouse, but also in their patches and tattoos.
  • Billy is now scarred. In addition, the brown eagle on his vest has been replaced with a white one.
  • Replaced the American flag patch on Brian's uniform with a Confederate flag version.

  • Zombie chopper has been 'Lost-ified'.
  • Re-colored Ashley's bandana to brown, and her jacket to grey.
  • M_Y_GLost_01 now has a little more variety of tattoos, including The Lost MC based ones. Also, replaced his arm wrestling voice and speech with M_Y_GLost_02's lines; they're rougher and arguably "grittier" (if that makes sense), and anyway, he already has the latter's voice lines in free roam, and similarly, replaced the arm wrestling voice and speech lines of M_Y_GLost_04 (currently standard IV's M_Y_GBik_Lo_01) with M_Y_GLost_03's.
  • Reversed M_Y_GLost_03 and M_Y_GLost_04.
  • Replaced the mask of M_Y_GLost_03 with a helmet.
  • Replaced LostBuddy_11 with a modified version of M_Y_GBik_Lo_02.
  • Replaced LostBuddy_13 with a modified version of M_Y_GBik_Lo_01.
  • Improved a couple of the added scars on The Lost MC's members, including Johnny's, Terry's and Clay's.
  • Re-colored the blue parts of Johnny's phone to brown.
