Buffed Lost MC

Ever felt about something wrong with The Lost MC? Your fellow buddies of the Gang Wars feel so weak? Feels like Johnny's appearance is not that generic for an American biker? Right here you can improve your gameplay's experience. As many of The Lost's members in TLaD miss the Lost MC's patch which must be on their uniforms, including The Lost's Buddies (gang war buddies), as well as many of them wear colorful uniforms, and they only ride Lycan, I made several changes to satisfy you from your Lost MC.

 

I've modified the textures of The Lost MC's bikers by adding the club's patch for several uniforms which miss them, and re-colored them to suitable colors to fit the MC style, to black, grey, and some kind of blue, as it is the secondary color of The Lost (after black)

 

Here's the list of the changes that have been done:

  • The Lost MC's patch (a.k.a. logo) has been added to some members who don't have it on their uniforms. (not ALL of them.)
  • Re-colored several uniforms of The Lost's members to more suitable colors.
  • Replaced M_Y_GLost_01 with a copy of M_Y_GAngels_04; replaced the uniforms' textures with The Lost's as well. The replaced textures were taken from M_Y_Multiplayer and Lostbuddy_03. To be mentioned, a few manual touches have been put on, meanwhile, instead of overusing three textures of the same white vest of Lostbuddy_03, I re-colored one to grey, and another one to brown. In addition, the Angels of Death's tattoo has been removed from a head's texture, not to mention that I re-colored a hat from red to dark grey, and replaced a secondary logo of the Angels of Death from another hat's texture with The Lost's, in addition to an AoD patch from one of the jackets, not to mention that I re-colored a red shirt from a uniform's texture to brown. Also, compared to M_Y_GAngels_04, M_Y_GLost_01 now has three jacket/shirt textures and also three pants textures, not only two for each of them.
  • Replaced one of M_Y_GLost_02's head textures with a better one (now the head texture is repetitive; one with a member who wears gloves, and one who doesn't). Also, removed some 'pretty face' texture that doesn't fit in a biker gang, due to that fact he looks so clean and normal, without any scars, tattoos, or gang look.
  • Replaced M_Y_GLost_03 with M_Y_GBik_Lo_02 from vanilla IV.
  • Replaced M_Y_GLost_05 with M_Y_GBik_Lo_01 from vanilla IV.
  • Added a helmet for Lostbuddy_03.
  • Since Lostbuddy_04 is a copy of a model of M_Y_GLost_05, I replaced his head's texture with a better one from M_Y_GLost_05.
  • Re-colored the patches of Lostbuddy_06 to grey, as red color is the primary color of the rival MC, the Angels of Death. It's fine to be used by The Lost, but I preferred to change it to be more different from the Angels of Death's textures.
  • Replaced Lostbuddy_12 with M_Y_Jim_Fitz from vanilla IV. The Lost's full patch has been added to the model's T-shirt.
  • Replaced Lostbuddy_13 with a modified copy of M_Y_GAngels_04 that's similar to Lostbuddy_03.
  • Added the full patch of The Lost MC for Jim's fellow biker who appears during Collector's Item. (his model is now used twice, so, for two members; the one in the latter mission, and also replaced the masked Lost buddy from gang wars with that model.)
  • Heavily increased the health of The Lost's gang war members, including Jim, Terry, and Clay.
  • Heavily increased the attack strength of The Lost's gang war members, including Jim, Terry, and Clay.
  • Improved Johnny's uniform along with the pants and boots. His shirt is no longer green, but greyish brown, and his pants have been turned into a black leather. The mustache and brows have been slightly darkened as well.
  • Removed a tattoo of the Angels of Death from a Lost MC's girl.
  • Replaced Jim's camo pants with biker leather pants, and re-colored his boots from light brown to black.
  • Replaced Angus' pants with dark grey leather, and re-colored his shirt to grey.
  • Re-colored Jason's leather pants from jeans-like color to dark grey.
  • Darkened Brian's jeans.
  • Added The Lost MC's patch to Brian's uniform when he betrays The Lost; there's nothing called "Jeremy biker gang", but there is "Brian's faction of The Lost".
  • Beside the Lycan, The Lost's members now ride each of Hexer, Innovation, Revenant, Diabolus, Hellfury and Zombie.
  • The bike explosion's damage on Billy's face from "This Sh*t's Cursed" has been added to his face in the prisoner version of his model. Slightly faded it out due to the fact he spent some time after those events, which would mean he has been almost treated of that damage.
  • The Lost's female members and strippers now act as parts of the gang. They will no longer attack Johnny when he does so, as well as they'll defend him when someone attacks him, just like the male members.
  • Now each of Billy, Jim, Brian, Terry, Clay and Jason walk like gangsters rather than regular civilians.
  • Instead of all of The Lost Buddies having M_Y_GLost_01's voice lines, now they have the voice lines of M_Y_GLost_03, M_Y_GLost_04, M_Y_GLost_05, M_Y_GLost_06 and the original Lost members of vanilla IV.
  • Additional notes:
  • Handed M_Y_GLost_03's voicelines to M_Y_GLost_02, and replaced M_Y_GLost_03's voice with the original one of vanilla IV's Lost members.

  • I didn't include a direct componentpeds.img with files replaced due to the huge space it will take when downloading it. It's also an advantage for people who have modded componentpeds.img, so they'll easily import the new files to their archive. So with cutsprops.img, pedprops.img and playerped.rpf.
  • As the updated uniforms are many, I only took screenshots of the main members of the MC. You can view the rest through SparkIV or OpenIV, or test them ingame.
  • I added The Lost's patches for some of the members, not all of them; due to the fact that not all of the bikers' clothes are suitable for an MC's logo.
  • Reversed M_Y_GLost_01 and M_Y_GLost_02 for a cutscene model compatibility issue.
  • Don't expect the texture modifications to be perfect. However, they're good enough, I suppose ;)

I took a look at your pedpersonality file, and you did the ''buffing'' wrong. You nerfed them in fact. The way defense works is contrary to what people would guess. The higher the defense stat is, the more damage you take. The lower the defense, the less damage you take (stronger you are).

 

This is basically my Tough Backup mod but with Retextures on the side :p

 

Other notes:

- Changes to pedpersonality cause bugs at starts of new games (crashes during one of the 1st few missions and phone bugs that are unavoidable untill uninstalled), so install is recommended when you become President (there's no bugs from there onwards afaik, you could possibly install this earlier than that but imo it's the best time to do so);

- The addition of a patch on the Lostbuddy_03 shirt is useless as he has a vest over it that has the patch (and he never spawns without the vest);

- You didn't remove the L O S T ''compass'' (dunno what else to call it) from the back of Lostbuddy_05 before adding the patch there, making it look weird.

Oh, so that's why all of my gang war buddies are dead. Gotta decrease it then. (it works the same way for SA's pedtype defense, but didn't expect it for IV and EFLC)

 

Nah, not exactly :p. Defend points aren't the exact ones from your mod. Attack strength was changed too.

 

- That's weird. I've been using a modified pedpersonality since the beginning of my game and faced no crashes. Didn't face phone bugs neither.

- Didn't notice that xd. But that's not a problem though.

- Ikr, that's why I stated the "Don't expect it to be perfect" note. Removing it would need some more experience in texture editing. Whenever I know how to remove it properly I surely will.

Updated:

- Modified some uniform textures so they won't look weird anymore.

- Fixed several added patches being wrong located and/or being unfitting sized.

- Modified/improved Johnny's appearance. (Head, hands, jacket & shirt, pants, and boots)

- Removed the Angels of Death's tattoo from a Lost MC's girl.

- Replaced Jim's camo pants with biker leather pants, and re-colored his boots from light brown to black.
- Replaced Angus' pants with dark grey leather.
- Re-colored Jason's leather pants from jeans-like color to dark grey.
- Darkened Brian's jeans.
- Added The Lost MC's patch to Brian's uniform when he betrays the valid line (Johnny's faction); there's nothing called "Jeremy biker gang", but there is "Brian's faction of The Lost". (for some reason he wears it in the first mission too. Seems like a scripting fail)

 

Added screenshots of Johnny, Jim, Angus, Jason and Brian. As the updated uniforms are many, I didn't take of the rest. You can view them via SparkIV or OpenIV, or by testing them ingame.

 

Unfortunately, nobody ever converted Billy's gloves and long boots to Johnny. (talking about proper models, not textures only. a.k.a. WDR format)

Where's Zombie B? Where's Hellfury? Where's Leila with Big Titties and Ashley who sucks like a Vacuum? All I hear about is Mr. President, Mr. Billy, Living The American Dream, Bikes, Bitches, Beer, Freedom!

I really thought of adding them, until I saw this in cargrp.dat: Obbe removed hellfury because of low density Obbe removed zombieb because of low density

So, I'm not sure about it, if it's true or nah.

 

I'm still thinking of adding them, because after all, not everything is fully fitting and/or perfect in here. Even weapons aren't that well on Johnny's hands, due to the fact they were originally modeled to fit on Niko's hands, but R* didn't modify them in TLaD or TBoGT.

I think by low density, they meant low traffic density in Graphics options? (which is low for consoles?), or the Frq value in vehicles.ide (for which all IV bikes have 30 in comparison to all TLAD bikes having 100)? A lot of things R* devs do doesn't make any sense. I had no issues having Zombie B and Hellfury in cargrp among other bikes (they might not spawn as often, but it's better than not spawning at all).

Johnny looks worse with all these changes imo. It might be just me around here, but I liked his default appearance in TLAD compared to this. If you brought back his appearance in IV, with the tattoo on his neck and paler skin, that would be much better than this, which looks like what happens when a 12 year old opens up photoshop and keeps slapping SUPER COOL TATTOOS he got off google images in random places on the player character.

As far as I remember, somebody has already converted IV's Johnny to TLaD.

 

I know, it's not that good. If you don't like this, you're not forced to use it.

Updated:

  • Decreased the skull tattoos over Johnny's neck, and organized them a little more.
  • Improved the gloves textures and darkened them.

 

Not really perfect though, but at least better. I'll update the preview screenshots later. Updated.

 

No gloves model as well. As nobody converted proper gloves model to Johnny. Otherwise, Billy's gloves would've looked perfect on Johnny's hands.

It's been a while since the last update. I threw some changes since I realized that Johnny looks kinda weird and most of the additional tattoos were out of place;

 

  • Removed the tattoos that I previously added on Johnny's neck.
  • Reverted the tattoo on Johnny's forehead.
  • Removed 'L.F.F.L.' tattoo from Johnny's head.
  • Removed the gloves' textures from Johnny's hand since there isn't a proper model that can be used for them.
  • Now each of Johnny's hands are tattooed.
  • Replaced the tattoo in the back of Johnny's head.

  • Replaced lostbuddy_13 with a modified copy of m_y_gangels_04 that's similar to lostbuddy_03.
  • Forget about the updates I've made on Johnny's appearance before, now changes compared to the default textures: GTA V's head textures, with slightly darkened brows and mustache, re-colored shirt from green to greyish brown, pants have been turned into a black leather, skull patch is now shaded, and is golden on the President uniform. Not to mention some minor improvements on textures of the jacket, boots and hand.
  • Jim's shirt is now more greyish.
  • Angus' shirt is now grey.
  • Brian's shirt is now grey.
  • The bike explosion's damage on Billy's face from "This Sh*t's Cursed" has been added to his face in the prisoner version of his model. Slightly faded it out due to the fact he spent some time after those events, which would mean he has been almost treated of that damage.

Didn't update the preview screenshoots of The Lost MC's main characters (including Johnny). I would do that when I got time for it.

 

That reminds me, the voices of m_y_glost_01/3/5 actually fit better with the new models. I suppose R* planned to make all of The Lost's members look badasses in the first place, but didn't expand on that. I guess they wanted us to feel like we're the "good guys", or whatever.

Some minor updates:

  • Reversed m_y_glost_01 and m_y_glost_02 for a cutscene model compatibility issue. (some other benefits of this change: as m_y_glost_02 is the most to be loaded and spawned, now more badass bikers spawn instead, not only inside the clubhouse and in streets, but also members competing illegal bike races. Also, Brian's faction now contains smaller number of tough members.)
  • Now each of Billy, Jim, Brian, Terry, Clay and Jason walk like gangsters rather than regular civilians.

I guess you can take some unused gangmembers (were used in IV, but unused in TLAD since Uptown Ryders take up their gang slot)

And replace them with your new modified Lost dudes, and add them to Lost pedgrp (dont forget voicepacks)

Ew, I hate the voice lines of glost_01 (at least the standard one, not sure about gang variant), because if lost dudes with this voice pack get shot in the leg, they'll scream for Mommy (no joke). That sh*t pissed me off when I was playing as Lost Buddies in Multiplayer (who for some reason, all had their voicepack set to that of glost_01, and I had to change it to their equivalent Lost/Angel lookalike voicepacks).

It's a good idea actually, since it'll expand the number of The Lost's gang members.

 

I'm still not sure if I should do it though, since I don't want to have those 'pretty face' skinny gang members (default m_y_glost_01 and m_y_glost_03), and I like the fact that I replaced them. (m_y_glost_05 has some cool faces though, but I didn't like the uniforms it included. Looked kinda weird for an outlaw motorcycle club, especially when compared to the AoD's)

Good note here. I didn't notice that before.

 

Therefore:

  • Handed m_y_glost_03's voicelines to m_y_glost_02 (previously, it had m_y_glost_01's voice lines in the mod), and replaced m_y_glost_03's voice with the original one of vanilla IV's Lost members.
  • Instead of all of The Lost Buddies having m_y_glost_01's voice lines, now they have the voice lines of m_y_glost_03, m_y_glost_04, m_y_glost_05, m_y_glost_06 and the original Lost members of vanilla IV.
