AccountHacks
Both Enb & iCEnhancer 3.0 either crashes my game or overall f*cks with the game more than it should especially iCEnhancer 3.0 (even worse after downgrading to 1.0.7.0) clearly has to be related to windows 10 and 1.0.7.0 patch cause vanilla game (1.0.8.0) works fine on win10. This might work: Edited April 23, 2018 by QuasiMatic
AccountHacks
Do you got issues with the enb or with running IV on Win10? So I got an update, I got iCEnhancer to work but only for EFLC but there's a few problems it runs fine I have a high end PC (6GB Video Memory) but my game stutters and loading takes longer. jaqub
Try with adding some lines on commandline.txt If you're not familier with it, look after some instructions. AccountHacks

Does cutscenes lag like hell for you as well? Only fix for this while running 1.0.4.0 with icenhancer 3 so far for me is to run it in windowed mode, but that's not acceptable. AccountHacks
Yeah man I just experienced cutscene lag today, until I find a solution I'm giving up on iCEnhancer. If you find out how to get reshade 3 to work on GTA IV & EFLC I can make you a way better 1.0.8.0 compatible preset running at 60+ fps. All iCEnhancer did was overdose on lighting and anti aliasing, its overrated. Edited May 14, 2018 by QuasiMatic

I envy you for getting that to work. I'm getting this error: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application." That is after pasting the files at the "_Install" folder. I tried fixing it from one of their README.txt file. I don't have smaa.dll, xliveless, deleting the commandline.txt doesn't fix it. I also disabled my GeForce Experience, I also re-extracted the _Install files to my main GTA IV folder. I have installed everything from the microsoft urls it provided. I also have a newer DirectX installed, and I've installed MS VIsual C++ 2005 and 2008 Redistributable Packages. I am getting it to work on my laptop ASUS ROG GL553VW ( Intel Core i7-7700HQ 16 GB RAM, GTX 1050Ti ), running on Windows 10 Build 17134. The vanilla GTA IV v1.0.7.0 runs well. Adding some textures from DKT70 and the SweetFX included in the zip works. I really want to play GTA IV with all the beautiful graphics of this mod, but I just can't Please advise. Thanks! - EDIT - I just signed up to submit this comment. I'm getting a bit desperate. freecheese
Does your computer use nvidia optimus? (most laptops with nvidia gpus have optimus) DopeyTheGem
DopeyTheGem
I'm not sure if I'm bumping an old thread, but I'm trying to run CryENB, but the game doesn't even load, no error message, nothing. Is there a fix? And my laptop has optimus
freecheese
You are probably using windows 10, right click gta4.exe, click properties, compatbility, and click disable fullscreen optimization. As for the enb, if you need a fix use the video link down below
pimann
On 10th version of MS Windows the game must be run with disabled fullscreen optimization in the gtaiv.exe's properties. You can install cars, peds and weapons without enb - the game will work fine. (if you disabled fullscreen optimization) But it will be very unstable if you install ENB or any custom shaders. In modern total conversions (e.g. Criminal Russia Rage) there's no ENB. That's specially for working correctly on Windows 10.
kumaraguru
so it is true that (cry)ENB doesn't work on windows 10 anymore...! can someone confirm.. I've tried everything.. but the the game does not launching with cryenb installed.. it only launches if the d3d9.dll is removed...
MrGTX1070
so there is no solution for this issue make enb works perfect on full screen ?? i tried as windowed mode using commandline works fine but only issue with full screen the main menu text font looks like blurry ..etc and sometimes game drop fps happen's with full screen only note: enbs without SweetFX or dxgi.dll works fine on full screen its only issue with windows 10 i would like to return back to windows 8.1 but i have Need For Speed: Heat not able to launch on in windows 8.1 cause its need higher os version so hope you can find a solution for that weird issue @pimann Edited December 4, 2019 by MrGTX1070
Ellie-H
For everyone who still arent able to play with enb , You need to Reinstall Directx11 and then using the "Rename to d3fx" Method, some installers wont allow you to reinstall, however I had a old installer that didnt bother to check for older versions of Directx being already installed , after that I renamed the d3d9 to d3fx and the enb finally worked.
