Settings being reset

Within the past couple weeks my settings have been reset twice. Each time I've had to recalibrate my game brightness and accept some Rockstar terms of service before this happens and can load into online.

 

Is there some kind of update that makes this happen? Am I the only one? Is there a way to stop this?

It happens to everyone. When it asks you to reset, just restart the app instead. May have to do this a few times.

This and it FRIGGING SUCKS!! especially on PC unlike PS4/XB1 where you only have to change your options on PC you have to do everything from options to graphics.

 

Lucky I though this would happen again so I made it a point to save the Settings file so if it got reset again I could simply replace it and sure enough it had happened 4 times

Might be due to broken save, Go to your documents/rockstar games/gta v/profiles and then look for the file ''pc_settings.bin. ''
delete that and restart gta.

It will generate a new one so you'll have to set your setting one more time and your good to go.

If the settings file changes for anyone when you don't want it to, on PC, you can set the settings file to read-only and the game won't be able to make any change to it.
