Cars are going slow

Hi, in the last days I have had a problem where it feel like you have less power then anyone else in race. Allready from the start of the races everyone is just driving away from me, and I have tried with 2 differant controllers and keyboard and still same problem. Anyone have experianced anything like that and found a fix?

Is your space button stuck on the keyboard?

Never heard of this outside of everyone else driving custom versions and catchup being on, etcetera.

 

Can you provide a video or two to show what you mean?

If by any chance you are doing the new Target Assault races, other players that are ahead of you can shoot vehicle to slow it down.

No it's not the target assault races. And I do not have many videos, but I do keep hitting the record button by a mistake so I did find a short one... Not the best video, since just 3 people in the race and I was allready a bit behind them because of this, but still a race with 100% throttle, no braking or anything and custom cars was off and slipstream and catchup was on. Still you can both hear and see how my car is like have no power.

Looks like a random bug to me. Maybe the catchup affected you by mistake instead of the 2 others in front of you, or something else who knows.

 

Once shortly after the Duke O`Death release the car was slow for no reason it was fully upgraded and was slow like a stock car no idea why, after restarting the game it was fast again.

 

A lot of strange things happen in GTA.

Yeah I have googled and seen a few people with the same problem, and for all it has been like suddently works the next day or by simple game restart. But lasted for like 3 days for me now...

Are the results the same when catchup is turned off in the race settings?

Not the same in a way, since you can in that video(or atleast in the race, not sure how visible that is in the video) but in the race I could feel like the two others was slowed down because of catchup but I could still not catch them... While atleast the 1 race I can remember with catchup turned off I got lapped. But it's the same in that my car is really slow yes

Hmm, this really could just be a random bug but it seems more in-depth for you. Probably need to do some more testing in races with catchup off, even host some of your own solo races just to see if the 'lack of power' issue is still there. It's quite apparent when the revs of the engine just start dropping - and that shouldn't be happening if you're behind the front of the race, when catchup is on or off.

I just found out that my similar problem was due to a bad R2 button on PS4. But on 2 controllers at the same time makes it more unlikely. However try this tutorial to check them:

Well that can't be the issue at hand... OP said he tried with a keyboard and as far as I know, that's just an "on / off" switch with the vast majority of keyboards, so if he's accelerating, he's accelerating at full speed.

 

Knowing if the Z axis works properly though (all the way to the top and bottom) is useful to know however, in determining deadzones or realising the controller's on the way out.

Yeah controllers works fine on all other games(PC and PS4) and problem happend in this game with controller and keyboard. But not played in like a week now, so will try again today...

So... I tried again today and discovered something weird

 

If I connect the controller with USB: Same problem when I use keyboard and the controller

If I connect the controller with bluetooth: Same problem when I use keyboard and the controller

If I disconnect the controller from bluetooth, then launch the game: Same problem with keyboard

 

 

BUT, if I disconnect the controller from bluetooth and disable the bluetooth fuction, like turn off all bluetooth on the PC then it works fine...
