jaqub
Mafia Rage (Mafia 1 port to GTA IV and V) Mafia I to GTA IV and V (Or Lost Heaven in GTA IV and V) is an total conversion mod that ports the content from Mafia I to Grand Theft Auto IV (and V). It will contain the entire map (Lost Heaven, Countryside and the racetrack), vehicle, props*, interiors, objects*, peds and weapons. Also will feature (maybe as add-on) the game stlyle from Mafia 1 like the car handling* and GUI (HUD, Menu and Map style). In addition the mod will split in 2 playable options (will be featured into seperated option). The mod idea orginally came from the last LH to IV conversion by Alber2gt which was discontinued early by its slow progress. Many have wished and requested for an comback so I decided to take Lost Heaven as my first fully map mod conversion. *not planned mainly (note: The V port doesnt have a static plan, which means that we arent sure if the entire content is going to be ported on GTA V) More informations are coming soon. The mod is still in early development and searching for converters and scripters! Topic on Mafiascene Forum Join our Discord server for announcements, direct news and more details about the mod! Voxels
Looks promising! I can't wait to finally explore this map without the limitations of Mafia. Adding roofs and completing terrain would be a pain in the ass though. I once tried to convert it myself to VC and add roofs to the buildings, but it was an extremely tedious work so I decided to quit. Here are some examples. jaqub

jaqub
We already converted most of the cars from the game, which of them might be from Mafia 2 too. So, anyone interrested and wants to work with the cars getting converted to IV and V? universetwisters
I didn't give a sh*t about Mafia but despite that, I like the progress you've gotten so far. I think you went further than that one Mafia to IV mod from years and years ago. Keep up the good work my dude, I might reinstall IV to play it jaqub and Jeremy Clarkson

Nihilist.
When I first saw this thread, I though Lost Heaven conversion would be a better choice for RenderWare. But then, after seeing one of the videos, with Lost Heaven Queen, I gotta say, models and textures didn't age nearly as much as I thought, and with some small tweaks, they all could look pretty. Simple, naturally, but pretty nonetheless. I can hear Django Reinhardt and Josette Dayde performing "Coucou" in my head by just looking at this ship. Good memories, I'm somewhat ashamed to admit, but Mafia introduced me to Django's masterful music, and throughout the years he's become one of my absolute favourite guitarists of all time, alongside Hendrix, Gilmour and Iommi. So yeah, this game sure has a lot of personal meaning to me. Long before 2k Games ruined this franchise to the ground, like they did with others as well. Awful company. Do you plan to improve the quality of some models/textures, for example the countryside, which definitely requires some major work? There was a project back in the day, aiming to covert Lost Heaven to, I believe, San Andreas, although I may be wrong. Such a shame it was never finished - hopefully this one will be, it'd be nice to see something... Different, in our community. Good luck! Such a shame it was never finished - hopefully this one will be, it'd be nice to see something... Different, in our community. Good luck! All that stuff what Ive shown now isnt ready appearing on the release, so it will instead of that getting more and more improved. Importantly, as soon we got the buildings, props and other details loaded from the game's specific binary files which are hard and sometimes time consuming for us is (Actually, we can have news about in 1 week since it has been made a script for 3ds max by the co-leader what will clear this issue quick). You might saw in the video Ive mentioned about backface culling (backside of the object not visable) that many models and even the entire map had due to its import since Mafia in-game render doesnt didnt had that thing , that can be fixed quick so all your worrys at the bad or 'clunky' models you might forget . HQ textures and models are already on the to-do list, which you see up there mentioned on ''Mods and Utilites...''. I hope you can understand that our map conversion can come up big but wont include all of that improved stuff which werent even in Mafia itself. So keep in mind the nostalgic/vanilla format must still live in this total conversion. Edited April 16, 2018 by jaqub Jeremy Clarkson
