IV Song Removal Due to Licenses expiring.

From what I understood the licencs will expire on 26th April, so my prediction is for Thursday... Tomorrow Rockstar will renovate the event week in GTA Online and usually they don't do anything the day after, but I have also to say that GTA IV updates are very very rare ultimately so it's very hard to predict a day (GTA Online receives updates only on Tuesdays).

If they changed the songs friday the game would uve to be pulled untill the expired songs were removed. Because they expire Thursday .

They have lost songs on other stations, but Rockstar are being cagey about admitting they're going to remove up to half the original Soundtrack.

Personally I don't care for San Juan, but it along with all the other stations should stay untouched. R* has got to be one of the stupidest companies to date to consider doing this.

Man, but they shouldn't tuch LCHC (EFLC Only) , Vladivostok FM (IV & EFLC) , K109 (EFLC) and Electro Choc (IV).

 

It may happen so that they are not re-licencing the old songs coz they've got better and improved ones to update the game with.

 

 

 

 

 

And Secondly,

Updating the radio will bring drastic changes in background musics used in the cutscenes.

Hey guys, while we wait for Rockstar to post a list of which songs will get removed, how about we do our predictions? For example:

LCHC (TLAD)

1. Cannibal corpse - I Cum Blood

This is ridiculous, they have tons of money from GTA V sales, the game appears in a top 10 of most sold games every month, but they can't use a bit of this money they have to renew the license of the songs??

I bet they'll use random pop songs from GTA V to replace these songs with expired licenses because this way they also don't have to spend their precious money buying new songs that fit the game

There's also the possibility that its the music companies that are responsible. Since they own the copyrights to the songs, they have the right to tell Take Two that they can no longer use their music and refuse any sum of money should Take Two actually want to pay.

 

Either way, April 26 is going to be a sad day for GTA fans. The music of the games was what drew me to the franchise in the first place, and it was always my favorite aspect of the franchise. Now they're taking my favorite part of the games and destroying it. I personally think that GTA IV has a better soundtrack than GTA V. It was a beautifully crafted soundtrack that fit the atmosphere of the game. Now it's gonna be gone...

Im quite curious about which songs desapear and which ones get in. Maybe we are prepared for the worst and the thing is not that big.

I think the vladivostok changes will be more focused on tbogt more than in gta iv itself, just because touching something from that radio might break the whole mix.

Anyway i would like a little update from R*, at least just saying what will disapear in 2 days.

If the songs are not random 2017 pop and soundcloud rapper songs maybe a mod to combine new and old will give IV something fresh

I just hope LCHC is unaffected.

Fun fact, L.C.H.C. was one of the first Radio Stations in GTA IV (specifically TLAD) to be affected, the song "Jailbait" by Drive By Audio was originally included on the Xbox Live version of TLAD but was removed from the PS3 and PC versions of EFLC:

 

True, i downloaded TLAD from PSN just to get the combined radio stations and i have never heard that song on LCHC at all. Stupid motherf*ckers made me waste my time downloading it since they all kept saying "Jailbait exclusive to DLC, not Disc" without mentioning the song was completely removed from the PS3/PC version of TLAD regardless if you got EFLC or DLC.
