Ye, be ready to drive and listen to Gucci Gang, can't wait!If that was added, then they may as well incorporate GTA Online's "Kill Yourself" option in the game, too.

Asking this question again for clarification (XBOX ONE ONLY, disc copy of EFLC and digital copy of IV):

If I turn auto-update for games and consoles off and then leave my console offline, will I be able to play IV/TBoGT post-update?

I just want to know if anybody for sure knows because theres a lot of confusion on the internet where some people claim you can play a game offline if it needs an update and others saying you can't, blah blah blah.

Yes, you can turn off auto updates and still play the games unpatched. If you own the disk, you still need to download the game from the store, so make sure you already have it installed before R* is going to update it.

You know, if you guys still want the original music, just don't update the game, or if you want to hear the new music and don't end up liking it, delete the patch and just play how it was originally intended. You'll then have the original music (assuming you're playing on PS3 or Xbox 360, if not then I don't know.)

The music'll probably be deleted and replaced in the patch,so downgrading ain't an option for PS3/360,but on PC you can downgrade, then(if you backed up the audio folder before installing the new patch)restore the audio folder.

If you have the disc version and turn off the internet, you won't have to update it and if you do, you can delete the patch by either clearing the cache or deleting it manually. They can't overwrite disc content unless it's a rewritable cd.

Good then. Goodbye MP. Was dying anyway. Played TBoGT and IV yesterday and felt like they were perfect. Can't have them touch that sh*t. Now if they remove stuff I really don't care for then I'll update but only after seeing what they've removed via this thread.

I'm late to the "celebration". Haven't checked this forum section in a long time.

Excuse me but what the actual f*ck is this?

This is blasphemy, R*. Blasphemy. I own the disc and everything on it. If you think you can take parts of my game away from me, keep on dreaming. I won't update the game.

R* has lost their licenses, yes. They can't sell the music in their game anymore. But I purchased this product years ago and there was no expiration date on my disc.

I am wondering if I can disable updates only for IV on the X Box One X. I play other games and I want to update them. I tried playing on the 360 and now that I am used to how it plays on the new console it's hard to go back.

Yes, if you disable automatic updates, you can pic what updates you want to install. It's not like Windows 10 on PC :D

Exactly. Why should what I already paid for be changed?

get a load of this guy. At least you called it sh*t, I'll give you that. ;)

That's definitely a divisive metal sub-genre. I'm not even mad considering I've been listening to much more of USPM(-esque) and proto-power (highly influential bands to the genre) than all that cliche European "flower metal" that kind of stole the wheel. Many of the "USPM" and "proto-power" bands, such as early Queensryche, Metal Church, Crimson Glory, early Savatage, Riot, and Rainbow, pretty much tear all of the second-rate modern day Helloween ripoffs a new one. Actually, some of Riot's early works from Rock City to Fire Down Under would fit quite nicely on LRR.

Of course, it's bullsh*t that R* isn't renewing the music licenses. Even if the replacement songs end up being good, which I don't have high hopes for, it still ruins much of the nostalgia of GTA IV and GTA EFLC. That, and a good amount of DJ audio will be taken out. It's also a damn shame that GTA IV's PC port is apparently really bad, and as such, I don't have much ambition to buy and download that. I guess that if I ever have a GTA IV fix, I'll have to blow the dust off my PS3 and play GTA IV without signing into PSN. Multiplayer can't have much of a population left nowadays, and as such, that may be a small price to pay to avoid downloading a patch that'll neuter the single-player experience as well. If anything, R* should have remastered the game with renewed song licenses, integration of vanilla and EFLC radio, even more new licensed songs on top of that, integration of items (weapons, vehicles, parachute, whatnot), updated graphics, bug fixes, in-game player settings/options (to fine tune the game to the player's liking), extra interiors, new features, overhauled features, new weapons, new vehicles, and a myriad of other quality-of-life improvements while still trying to keep the original spirit of the game and episodes alive. I have many ideas for a remastered GTA IV, and I'd pay some good money for such. But alas, shark cards. . .

Due to music licensing restrictions, we are required to remove certain songs from the in-game soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto IV and its Episodes, in particular a large portion of the Russian pop station, Vladivostok FM. However we are replacing some of those songs with a new set of songs on that station. We will update our customer support website with new information as soon as it is available.

I don't get it?

Rockstar has the money to add new songs but can't afford to renew the licensed of the expired soundtracks?

I don't think the cost for renewing the licenses will be very high compared to the new songs being added, especially, since R* has made billions from free micro transactions, they should simply spend a bit and keep the music as it is.

Don't forget spending more money pushing out a re re re release of GTA V on store shelves
