Listen, maybe you're not supposed to be genius posting those comments? That's why you keep falling. You'll always have a choice Jdogg.[/size]

I'm guessing that he was just being sarcastic. lol Sounds like something I would have said in jest.

So guys, if you go watch Gypsy's video called "GTA 5 Premium Edition is a Rip-Off" and started looking at the comments, you will notice there is a guy called "Jim Fitzgerald" arguing with a kid called "Old Bill the war veteran corner camper" in a reply section of one comment talking about Rockstar's greed of not releasing GTA 4 10th's uear anniversary edition. I'm not telling the whole story since both were arguing for many hours, but Old bill war veteran said something interesting, he called the who GTA Forums fanbase "Retarted c*nts" just because we were telling the truth about rockstar not adding songs to GTA 4 due to GTA Online's shark cards, and also because we no longer compliment GTA 5 due to the direction the game is going.

Anyway sorry for the off-topic rant but i though it was interesting for all of you to know. I would post an image of the kid's comment but i have no idea how to post a picture on the mobile version of this forum so you guys are gonna have to look for that comment on Gypsy's video.

P.S: both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of GTA 4 will not get the update for the removed songs. (Take this opinion as a grain of salt)

Any confirmation on the availability of the patch for console users? I just recently bought EFLC for PS3 and I have yet to install it on my console...don't want the original tracks patched out of the game.

There are no patches for disc versions of GTA IV on X360 or IV and EfLC on PS3. There is however 3MB patch for EfLC on X360, but I'm not downloading it, so I don't know if it was released some time ago or if it's the one removing songs.

There's already a bit of evidence pointing towards this happening with V. Rockstar removed trailer 2 from both their official site and Youtube, assumedly because they've already lost the licencing for Skeletons by Stevie Wonder. Makes me wonder why they haven't released a patch to remove it from the game though.

if you had not said that, I would not even know it was removed

On my disc version of GTA IV for X360 (complete edition, btw) there is a patch to download but obviously I will not do this. I will gonna permanently play offline on my X360. But, I'll play with the new and cutted songs on Xone to play the online. This is the advantage of keeping your old consoles with yours

So, PS3 PSN versions got updated too.

GTA IV

Old size 10.27 GB. New size 10.17 GB

GTA EFLC

Old size 7.81 GB. New size 7.72 GB

I'm not sure what version you get, if try redownload game from PSN account.

PS. I'm sure, Rockstar will not release any cut songs updates for physical versions on 360, PS3 and most likely PC too.

For store version, in 360. If you redownload game from Xbox Live you got cut version.

Yep, this is true I can confirm. Discs are intact on both last gen consoles.

The 3MB patch is not the removal. Is the regular fix patch they released years ago. If you're with disc on an old console, you're fine. Only PSN/Xbox Marketplace new downloads got affected and it is a gigabyte change. Schweine by Glukoza will play on the first mission, trust me.

did they Fix any Game Bugs ?

None. You could say they introduced one, apparently music during TBOGT Club Managenemt doesn't play.

Seriously R*, you guys went from the being the coolest to being a bunch of poopers. Cheap bastards.

All this and they couldn't patch the PC performance glitches that should've been patched years ago? That is an epic fail.

Well, at least I still have my original Xbox 360 copy, and I always play offline on it.

For once, I actually enjoyed a MrBossFTW video. Yeah it's clickbait, but at least this will raise some awareness and he was pretty much on the nose here.

Un-f*cking-acceptable. I'm genuinely horrified by this, not just for how much of a vile thing it is to remove music that is aesthetically indissociable from the game but also by the terrible precedent this sets against video games as a narrative and artistic medium. Just imagine how much bullsh*t it would be if Warner Bros suddenly lost the rights to the Also Sprach Zarathustra performance used in the intro / outro of Kurick's 2001 and not just would they stop selling the original version but even worse, they would also qUITE f*ckING LITERALLY PATCH IT OUT OF YOUR OWN DVD AND BLU RAY COPIES. How can it be video games are not protected from this? How can it be that, one entire goddamn decade after GTA IV is released, you still do not actually own the game itself and instead will pretty much have to submit yourself to whatever corporate alterations the distributor wants to infringe on your copy? We shouldn't let this bullsh*t slide by our radars.

Almost all the changes are on the Vladivostok FM station. Does Russia have some weird licensing law that brought this along?

Can't it just be like Vice City where it only affects new purchases?

also, what would happen to the new tracks if I had used this: http://gtaforums.com/topic/881495-making-episodes-to-launch-as-dlcs-in-iv/

Edited by Gummy

Seems like most of the changes effect IV more than the Episodes. Shows how much I know. I always thought that the music in IV was cut and pasted into the Episodes and that just a few songs were added to the Episodes or, I though a bonus station or something. Seems really weird to me that in a game that prides itself on its realism that Rockstar would change the entire radio station catalog for Episodes that take place at around the same timeline as the original IV story.

If you got TLAD and TBOGT as DLC, then the Radio updates from those would mix with normal GTA IV too, and vice versa (e.g. stations not in EFLC would appear in TLAD/TBOGT if it was DLC). If you just got EFLC then you only had access to the new playlists instead for the stations they updated, along with 3 bonus radio stations.

DLC Version

1. Both GTA 4 and EFLC's radio stations combine

2. Ram Jam FM, Vice City FM, and Self-Actualization FM are gone

Disc Version

1. Radio Stations do not combine, meaning that Niko still listens to the Original songs meanwhile Johnny and Luis can only listen to the new songs

2. Ram Jam FM, Vice City FM, and Self-Actualization FM are added in this pack (They won't transfer to GTA 4 though)

I have both DLC and Disc versions and I can listen to the new DLC songs while playing as Niko, I can also listen to the original stations like The Vibe and The Classics while playing as Johnny and Luis. However I can't still listen to the 3 exclusive EFLC stations unless if I play the Disc version of TLAD and TBOGT.

P.S: Money ain't an issue to me so don't ask me why I bought both versions

I don't own GTA IV on the PC, only the Episodes. So I think I only have the old EfLC stations. I did apply the downgrade patch to the Episodes, though. I haven't tried playing it yet, but according to George in this thread, I should just have the stock EfLC stations.

http://gtaforums.com/topic/908658-iveflc-radio-downgrader/

Ironically enough, those who have physical copies of GTA IV and EFLC for PS3 and 360 means the songs remain there so they're completely unaffected by R*'s "patch". Downloads, however, are a different story so you'd likely be out of luck unless stated otherwise.

Still wishing that R* could ditch DRM and GFWL. Honestly, who even uses Games for Windows Live anymore?

I guess Rockstar can do no wrong in your eyes. How many times do they have to f*ck up for you to see it?

Ain't enough being a fanboy in the world to take this sh*t. The only reason some people take this sh*t is because of the name of the game and the company that makes it.

Nice, another weirdo calling me a fanboy.

???

Weirdo?

Muthaf*cka what?

However, I've only got this branches thing Ash told me about. Rockstar are surely aware that the PC players will downgrade the game unofficially, which most of us did, so what's the big deal anyway?

Do it look like I'm on PC? No. Okay then...

Can someone upload the opening of GTA IV with the new song added in the place of Schweine? (Liberty City The invasion, was it? I know it's not a new song but still.) I'm curious to see how that rolls. Also, someone make a YouTube playlist with the new songs.
