Over the many hours we have played this game, I'm sure we have all come across that thirsty no life tryhard who's pure objective is to kill people and use the most OP weaponry possible. Well, today I managed to encounter one except that I turned the tables on him.

 

Pretty much all my time in GTA is spent flying, so my friend and I were playing around on the airfield in a session when the typical oppressor tryhard came up and tried to kill us, except that I proceeded to missile him in my P-45 blow him up. Usually, I only kill them once and they don't bother me, but as he seemed fit to come after me again with his little griefer bike, to which I machined gunned him with a headshot in my plane. (Which was awesome.) Then he proceeded to go into his hanger and grab the Pyro to which I still beat him with machine guns in my P-45, in turn, he bailed out and used his pay to win explosive sniper to try and shoot me down. However once again I blew him up and landed my plane only to proceed to keep spawn killing him on the airfield. He then tried to passive mode abuse me, to which he failed and finally went in passive to run away to use his orbital strike in his base. Which still didn't work because I was in my hanger, and he finally left the session.

 

He was only like level 100, and either had bought loads of shark cards, or gotten hackerbucks, but still, he couldn't buy enough skill. The worst people though are the ones that have all the body armor and helmet and go first person and strafe snipe, they just ruin the game for people. Usually, the simple solution is to go passive, but you can't do that in a CEO or MC, and that limits what you can actually do.

 

Sorry for the random and long post, I just feel like if anything toxic to the game, it's these people.

My favorites are the ones who only know how to kill people with jets, and spend so much time simply shooting at the ground that they can't figure out that you are hiding underneath something they can't shoot through. In the example below, we also have one guy who puts a bounty on me, then immediately leaves when he crashes and kills himself less than a minute later:

 

 

 

Although jets are my personal psychotic hatred, I actually see far more people in Deluxos than jets and Oppressors combined, probably because it takes much less skill to use to kill someone... of course, I quite like this, because shooting down slow-moving Deluxos with the explosive sniper is a piece of cake compared to hitting an Oppressor or Lazer that is maneuvering

Eh, yesterday I had someone in a Deluxo pick on a lower level guy (the Deluxo guy was an ass, he randomly killed other before), so I decided to attack him in a heli.

 

For f*cks sake, little did I know how maneuverable those friggin Deluxo missiles are. Me=dead. Got my Akula, snuck up on him and killed him. Got a Pyro out of my hangar, he came after me in his Deluxo again.

For f*cks sake, little did I know how maneuverable those friggin Deluxo missiles are (see a pattern here?). Got my Explosive sniper out and the Deluxo was done for again, short sniper battle where he'd EWO everytime he got hit. Got my CEO Buzzard and that's where the fun begins. Killed him 6 times, before flying off as I thought "he got his lesson". Nope, guy came after me again, at which point I simply got my P-45, put in passive mode and watched the chat get lit up with "passive pussy", "noob", etc messages like that. It was satisfying. A lot.

 

 

Although I did have to realize that I should not take a Deluxo on in an aircraft to easily. Whoopsie.

There are far, far worse things in this game than some random players trying to kill you in a free roam session.

Then there's the ones who get salty that we smashed them in a game mode that they decide to take their anger out on us in Free-mode.

 

Yesterday after beating some very sore & sour losers in Targeted Assault we got spawned near Mors Insurance along with a few other players who decided to go back to freemode after finishing TA. They see my friend while he's in the pause menu and go for him which p!sses him off. Then another salty sore loser joins in. This continues for 15 minuets while one goes off the radar to grab a Jet but half-way from us crashes it and then he leaves. He's TA partner? Well he's still attacking my friend but while he's focused on my friend I take him down a few times.

 

We know with fights & sh*t like this they end up going nowhere, wasting players money from Hospital bills (I'd like to call it a Respawn Charge since you don't spawn at the Hospital in GTAO) and prove nothing in the end besides one person being sh*t and the other being good so we just decided to go to another lobby when we were starting to get that feeling that this isn't going to amount to anything and we could be earning money instead of wasting our time fighting a salty sore loser.

The Deluxo (along with Vigilante, Stromberg, Ruiner 2000 and Oppressor[?]) have infamously good missile tracking.

The fact that the Deluxo's missiles are unlimited is a load of BS, meanwhile, the ruiner barely gets any. I wish rockstar would let me sell that piece of junk.

From what I've read, the Deluxo does NOT have unlimited missiles. There are about 30.

Oppressor missiles aren't the same as the others you mentioned.

Yeah, they're pretty damn quick, with incredible missile tracking. Very easy to get multi kills with.

There's no reason for a Delorean ripoff of all things for having 30 extremely accurate homing missiles. I would believe from either KITT or a Batmobile, but not the Delorean.

Agreed 100%. I really don't know why the Deluxo gets such good missiles. It flies and is maneuverable enough that it can dodge most missiles except from other Deluxos. I swear Rockstar knows next to nothing about balancing their game.

Plus most planes have flares in combination with turning. Like, its a car, boat, plane, with machine guns, super accurate homing missiles, it's fast and can easily dodge other missiles. It's the perfect machine, and they tried to make it expensive, but the people who use them have unlimited amounts of money.

No. Stromberg and Oppressor doesn't have the same missiles like Ruiner2000/Vigilante/Deluxo.

 

I do not know what Rockstar was thinking about the Deluxo. A land vehicle that flies with 30 Ruiner2000 type missiles, not only for the handling but also for the speed in firing.

Yay! I use it all the time. I don't mind ruining the game for people who ruin the game for others.

 

Random attackers will continue to attack, but it's in your power to choose how to respond.

I haven't noticed much difference there. Just keep in mind that those two (especially the Hunter) are bigger targets and a lot less maneuverable than something like the Buzzard; you can't just strafe sideways when the missile is close and make it miss. With the Akula I've had good success with keeping my nose pointed at the guy and moving forward and sideways right when he fires. With the Hunter... couldn't tell ya, I seem to always get hit. At least it has sturdy armor.

I assume that's a result of that random armorlessness bug. I've had it happen to me twice in the last week, and found it very weird and annoying both times. Obviously there's a vast gulf between normal Avenger armor and the bugged version that simply blows up with one shot. Hard to strategize properly when you don't know if you can survive half a dozen rockets or none.

All's fair in GTAO free roam. For every cheap kill I've suffered I have a satisfying reversal to offset it.

 

Perfect example happened yesterday. A friend and I were running a pair of crates back to my hanger when BAM, Lazer out of the blue blew us up over LSIA and was off to hunt other targets in the city before we even respawned. So, we decided to head up north to relative safety and put my new Comet Safari through its paces up Chilliad.

 

About half an hour later we spot the Lazer jockey, approaching fast in a Buzzard with a crewmate in his org, clearly hoping to strand us on the mountain. So, we step out of the car to deny him an easy lock and three explosive rounds later those two are the ones left high and dry while me and my friend are back in the Comet zooming down the slope toward elsewhere.

There were a couple of these guys in my last session. Typically, they were strafing everybody and anybody in two laser jets, even low level double-figure kids who haven't a clue what is going on. I just stood in my apartment watching them out the window whilst texting sh*t to them to make them ever more angry.

 

Like two angry wasps flying around, they spent a good five minutes shooting at my apartment ???

 

Of course, every time they crashed or when anybody else went OTR, they hit passive until they got in the air again

 

And yes, they were in the standard uniform. Long white hair, red eyes, ballistic helmet, rebreather ha ha

what i really love with these K/Ds (see kids ), it's the moment when they go from 'i found the easy prey, you are going to suffer, and see who is the master', to 'that guy seems sticky?????', then 'buuhhuuu i have to leave the server ' . i'm not into PvP at all but i must admit it's a kind of jubilation each time it happens

and talking about cool stories with griefers. i got my best shot in that game with a griefer actually, or should i say a modder. me, and a partner where recovering crates with the sailboat mission. then the griefer came in, and started to harass my partner with a deluxo. so i asked politely like i always do, to stop it. he didn't. so, i asked a second time. the guy was in his bubble you know. i was underwater with my stromberg, when this happened. but deeper enough not to be targeted. i moved a bit and i could lock his deluxo while he was hovering over me. sent him a missile from underwater. and you know the stromberg missiles, they are pretty good . i blew him up and it was a cool shot. but few seconds after this the guy started random explosions, to me and my partner. typical of these players, fairplay is not a word in their dictonnary. they just here to grief and annoy people, even if this implicates the use of mods
